I did this a few years ago, as you demonstrated, and it worked just fine. However, if you do it with 6 bights, your passes will get so tight that you won't be able to put your lacing needle through. So stick with 4 bights.

This is beautiful and would suit my need very well. Do you think you could design and show a combination of a 2-constrictor knot lanyard, with this Turk’s head finisher?

Can you use this to cover a larger item, like the buttstock of a lever action rifle?

Thanks for sharing your know how. I was wondering what you use as a resource for all the knots you illustrate. I’m looking to establish a reference library for future projects. I’m going to learn this knot and then try it with a longer double wrap knot as a base. Donald

I love nicks whip shop it is why I do whip making now! but truly my favorite passed time (Paracording) is because of you and your easy to watch and learn videos weavers of eternity does great in the way of making a modern twist but your videos I feel are for the raw knowledge of tying method your showing. I know what video you must have watched and I am so glad you made this video truly my favorite kinda way to end any project is with a Turks head heel knot! Thank you my brother!
