This was my first Paracord project. I just made this knot as a lanyard knot on my knife. The knot looked like spaghetti when I "finished" tying the knot. But after tightening about 4 times, it looks amazing. Thanks for your helpful and informative video!
Thank you so much , I finally did it ! Excellent instructions , the gaucho knot came out perfectly (after several attempts lol) the way you showed to tighten the knot was perfect . Cheers .
After several attempt , I finally made it ...thanks for all your tutorials ,you have given me a lot to learn and a fun and meaningful life doing what I love The most , paracording ...
I have been tying paracord knots for about 6 weeks now and finally I've managed to tie one at the very first attempt. This is such a very pretty knot, but as Angela says below, a lot easier than your other similar gaucho video which left me very frustrated but that was in my early days.
As always you present a great tutorial... I am a big fan of the 2 strand button knot as you know... this knot will become part of my favorite knots... Thank you Mark...
OMG! I finally got it after two days and several hours. I was trying to practice this knot with Paracord that had been used before and was stiff, that is a mistake. I did get it but it was a nightmare and tightening it wasn't easy lol
This is a 2 strand extended foot rope knot that goes over2 under 2.i can tie it but the way I go about it is different to the way you tie it.the way I go about it is first I tie a 2 strand diamond knot which I extend then I can make a over2 under 2 diamond knot or after tying the extend diamond knot I invert the knot by moving the knot up over it self in other words turn it inside out which makes a foot rope knot then I complete the knot.
Very attractive knot. But seems to me to be a long way to go for a knot you need to use both ends to tie. Wondering why under "Items Needed" you did not list the C.S.Osborn knot nail or the two boards?
Paracordia-UK. I have struggled for weeks now with perfecting tying this knot. I'm gradually winning the battle! Keep practicing and you'll get there in the end.
Great vid any tips on trying to get it on a knife cause you have to already have the bits attached to it but you have to put it on the rod so would I like put a book next to it or something to hold the knife
Good question! Well, I'd still slip the cord through a hole in the knife, then secure the two ends onto a dowel rod using a rubber band. As long as you secure the blade, you should be fine. Duct tape may also help keep it in place. Mark
This is not a good video! And heres why; You should have used two different colored cords for this. Its virtually impossible to follow your instructions when the only way to identify one strand from the other is "this strand vs that other one". There's no lists of requirements neither in the comments or early in the film. You know knots, sure, but I am unable to learn them from this film.
Vc acha certo ele na humildade vir no TH-cam ensinar e vc ainda criticar? Já ouviu falar na opção "Velocidade de reprodução" ? eu mesmo coloquei na velocidade 2x.

One of the worst on the web, sorry but you don’t explain whether it’s the left working cord the right working cord that you originally started with when you say, I’m taking “one of the cords” and you don’t say a word about actually spinning the mandrel that you’re using so you just make it very simple and unexplained
No fussy background, no music, no chat. Best of the web. Thank you.
Made a couple today, thank you I love learning new knots

This knot is so great I'm absolutely obsessed with it, I'd LOVE to see more beautiful two strand stoppers like this!
Got it first time, thank you for providing such clear and easy to follow instructions.

Aguante Argentina. Gauchos forever!
A lot easier to follow than your other gaucho button tutorial. Thanks Mark
This does a great job explaining how to tie this knot. Thanks for the tips on how to tighten the knot. Very helpful tutorial!
Thank you for your kind comment!

Where can i buy Paracord I am in the middle East UAE

Really glad to hear it! It is indeed a looker.
Mark
Very nice tutorial! You explained what You were doing in an easy to understand way, and as a learner,I really appreciate that.
Thank you for a well explained, and detailed execution video!
Really very nice >>>> Thank you
Finally got it on my fourth try. . . The video is excellent but the knot is a tough one!

The beautiest knot i've seen, greetings from México
One of my favourite knots - thanks for making it so easy to do ;-)
Ty, it's a beautiful knot 👍🙏🎄
Very good video, very nice knot. Thank you.
DID IT!!! USED SOFTER CORD! LOOKS GREAT.
THANK YOU
Thank you, you do good work.
Cool knot!

LOL, now its my turn to try. I may take longer...
these are the hardest directions ive ever seen in my life
Very easy to follow along with.. thanks. 👍🏽👍🏽
Good tutorial. If you work the ends through towards the loop instead then you create a great little lanyard for a knife rather than a key fob.
Nice knot

Can we do this but with 3 or 4 wraps around the mandrel?
Absolutely!
Makes for a very nice keychain.
Definitely going to try this tonight! Thanks for another great video!
Would it be possible to do this with 4 bights and 3/6 leads?
Hi Mark. I watching all of your tutoring from the mystery braiding. Your kesson so useful and easy. Thank You.
Are you spanish?
Thanks Mark! I'm going to use this as an Out Father knot in a rosary.
Excellent tutorial and nice knot to end a paracord dog leash. Thanks. Anaco, Anz.
Possibly using a less than pliable cord. Will try with a softer cord.
yeah I been at this 2 days and I think I go wrong on the 6 minute, close to giving up this on unfortunately
We showed the different ages of Boy Scouts, it is nice to see that they can be used for somethings more than camping . LOL
очень крутое плетение! спасибо!
Dude you are great at tying these knots, however you need to SLOW down and please use proper terminology rather than things like, “the other one”
Hermoso nudo pero difícil de hacer. Saludos desde la tierra de los gauchos Argentinos
Thanks.
This is really cool! 👏👏👏👏

very nice

谢谢🙏🙏👍👍
You rotated the whole piece so many times I couldn't tell what loops you were working with anymore and it became an impossible mess to figure out

The knot is nice, and you teach well with patience. But the knot is so complicated and takes a lot of time! Thanks anyway.
Very pretty but it seems to complex to be useful would a figure 8 knot do the same job ?

Very beautiful, but this is hard. Not anyone can do this.
7:27 did everyone else's anxiety level hit 100 in that moment?
You totally lost me from 4:37 on! I tried several times and kept getting lost at that same moment... :(
Amen
don't ask for the manager about it tho
Where are U frome friend? Interesting accent!!
me encantó el nudo, pero si lo subtitularas al español sería genial!!.
Es super poco practico, estas una hora para hacer un nudo, en situacion de emergencia totalmente inutil.
If it's a stopper knot why did you tie it at the loop end when it should be on the other end so it goes through the loop?
Видео можно было уложить в 2-3 минуты, если меньше трындеть.
Ser good gemacht!
OK. I finally got it.
Extremly confusing and way to fast! Is this the same as 790 is Ashley's book of knots?
I want to give it a try, but I know I won't get it the first time, or maybe even the second. 😂
Excellent.
Cheers Mate!
How?
Easy!! Thanks !!
That 3 sided hand tool?
So that’s over, under, over, over, under, over, under, under, over....Roger
I give up. tried 5 times. It still makes no sense. maybe you could re-make the video using 2 colors so we can see the pattern better?
knot my strong suit
What is this knot good for?
Gostaria que fosse traduzido para o português eu ia amar
Nice finished product but too cumbersome
I went cross eyed about halfway through
Me gusta todo esto.X que es artesanal
are you canadian?
Ended up with a scary granny-knot. Just me I bet. Why are these are so hard for the upper middle aged.....
сколько ушло шнура?
Por favor en español
Confusing
tnks

+👍
언덜 언덜
😵🤯
Absolutely impossible....
Спасибо!
ска сложно еп
damn that's complicated
Heh, I did my best to explain it. Keep practicing and you will soon master it!
Mark
difficult😀😀
Tried fifty times and can never accomplish this knot! My fault not yours..
I'm with you Pete. I got nuthin.

It's ONE CORD folded in 1/2
Get over it.
Demora tanto que parece estar ensinando o SEGREDO DA ETERNIDADE. Afff.

I'm sorry but this has to be the most confusing tutorial. Don't like it
