As a Suzuki vintage two-stroke restorer myself I do enjoy and learn from your videos. Small tips and tricks from a pro that can save you a lot of time and money. Thanks!

Good tip about removing the heads while the engine is still in the frame. I couldn’t help noticing that the key was still in the ignition switch and thought it looked like it could get bent or snapped quite easily while you were working on the bike.

Who else owned a Suzuki T500 back in the 70s'? The late Bon Scott from AC/DC and he had a very bad accident on it here in South Australia way back then. Nearly killed himself. Bit of trivia for you! Excellent video.

I saw AC/DC in 1979 with Bon Scott, the best…👍

The recording studio that Bon's pre AC/DC band used is still here today not 5 minutes from me. That band was Fraternity. @@mcmechanic864

Manor Park Classics have a big car/bike auction going on this weekend. I have watched the preview video on here for the bikes. They have a 1973 blue/white T500 in Excellent fully restored condition, with a low reserve of £4500.

Very very enjoyable videos, would it be possible to keep a running total of your spend just as a added bit of interest? Your videos should be on the NHS for us older chaps. ha ha.

Hello from Wales. I had a new T500M in 1975. You likely know that post J models had the 1400cc gear oil upgrade from the earlier 1200cc models and that they were detuned by a few BHP as well. The M was still a good bike though. I later had a GT500. Earlier, I'd had a GT250, GT380 and in between those, a GT750. Hardly ever see any of these bikes around nowadays. I've been riding a Suzuki SV1000 since 2005 but miss the two strokers. I'm wondering if you'll fit electronic ignition which the GT came with as standard. The only non Suzuki two stroke I owned was the incredibly sad Kawasaki KH500, which I then had ported to a state of clutch plate eating mania, to teach it a lesson. Detuned bikes make me want to puke almost as much as the ex wife. Almost, but not quite.
