    When they discontinued the Deluxe it broke my heart. But, I realized soon after that by doing this to the Heritage Classic, voila! You've got a Deluxe!!!

    Greetings from New Jersey USA. I recently purchased a 2020 Heritage Classic 114. I love it. Thank you for showing how easy it is to remove the wind screen, saddle bags and pillion seat. I’m not very mechanical but after watching your video I feel better about doing it.

      I use the Heritage for Bike Rallies with Harley friends and that cool summer run out to bike meeting points.
      But my go to in all weathers is my BMW GS (with some off-road) and for road touring and comfort and speed and handling I go for my BMW RT

    Quite like the white wall tires, have been considering them for my 2019 heritage. Just wasn’t sure how they would look. When I replace the tires I’ll buy white walls. Looks good.

      I think just about everyone would agree that the bike looks better slimmed down without the rack, bags, etc. But for some people, the necessity of having those items based on how they use the bike, makes those items necessary.
      It becomes a balancing act, between functionality vs looks!
      Thanks for the great vid, Tom!

    Hi Tom, I have the same bike bought new in September last year and agree with everything you say about it, love it! The only thing that I'm not happy about is the size of the panniers, they are too small for trips away and many rallies particularlty when two up and like you have said there is no quick release system for them. I too have had and used Easy Brackets before, a great system. Just ordered one of those electric ratchets- great tip, thanks.

    • @1903Productions
      @1903Productions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea I’m dreading at the next Rally to find I’m struggling with The size of panniers. I have a big saddlemen bag which I’d recommend and the roll bag for on top or has been running on girlfriends Sportster. Hoping to fit saddlebags to the Sportster to even the load a bit.
      Not fitted the saddlemen to the heritage as yet. Maybe one for another video soon.

    Hello from Georgia in the USA. Beautiful motorcycle. I just bought a brand new 2020 Heritage 114 in the vivid black like yours. I love the white wall tires you have and the Vance & Hines exhaust. The black pipes really look good on this blacked out model. I would be interested in hearing your bike with these pipes. Did you use the FP3 tuner to tune the engine to these new pipes? Great channel and just subscribed. Keep the videos coming. Ride safe across the pond in the UK.

      Hello there 👋
      Great to hear from you across the pond.
      I had a dynojet tune rather than FP3 but that was due to a mixup but works well (used FP3 previously on my Glide).
      I do intend to do a startup and ride by video once lockdown is lifted here in the UK. I also have a new springer seat on the way and a few other bits so I’ll do a full video when project is finished. I do have a bit of a review on my personal channel you may find useful and interesting

    I'm seriously thinking about getting a Sport Glide for its versatility, looks and of course price, but I have to say the Heritage is growing on me pretty fast! So much that I'm now considering getting it instead of the Sport Glide! The look of the Heritage without the windscreen is to die for! And although the bags are as fast to remove as the Sport Glide, it is still pretty easy and the bike looks awesome without them!

    I just caught your video. Nice job in describing the Softail and what you've done to yours. I have a 2018 Heritage Softail Classic that I've done modifications to and have added accessories on. I have the 107 cubic inch engine on mine. I had a stage II upgrade giving the bike more torque. The bike is in Vivid Black, very similar looking to yours minus the white wall tires. Did you ever get your fender bib? Three mutts customs make great fender bibs specifically for the 2018 and up Softails. I have the exact same pipes as yours. It's too bad you couldn't go with a lay down plate mount instead of having to mount your plate upright. I changed out all of my lights to LEDs. Enjoy your ride!

    Are they standard handle bars?

    • @1903Productions
      @1903Productions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No (almost). They are the same height 11” but are 1.25” to 1” and slightly less pullback.

    Why don't you just get a deluxe then?

    • @1903Productions
      @1903Productions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ‘Cos I’d have to add all the luggage for when I go to a rally etc. Not sure if the deluxe has cruise control. And mainly don’t like it’s more chrome look and led lights a bit too modern. Also, the rear shock is far superior for taking a pillion and luggage than the shorter shock on the Deluxe/Slim. Personally I think the Deluxe as standard is very much a feminine bike, so you have to go full Cholo to make it manly (but that’s a personal view)

      @@1903Productions really you must have 4 hands 'cos I can't get the bracket back on without holding all 8 washers apart, basically it's a 2 person job. Anyway great choice of bike I love mine. And thanks for the vid, keep em coming.

      Apologies if you don’t share my sense of humour. Several of my close friends ride and love their Sport Glides as do some of my female Harley friends.
