I failed a drug test 5 months ago with a prescription drug i do not take. They told me they were 100% accurate and will not change it. That was 5 months ago I am at the end of this system where I did everything they asked me to do. Passed 2 more drug tests had the last kne put on Clearinghouse and then they told me I have to test every 2 months for a year and have the company pay for it. Then after this it will remain on the record for 5 more years. Had I been given all of the information and what I needed to do i would have dropped the cdl. A screwed up system

Doing the SAP will be a waste of money! Not only are the programs expensive, but you have to find a company to work for to get it removed? So how you go find a job now that they say your a high risk driver ? Yeah No luck!

I just got randomly affected by this after almost 2 years of it not being on my record . I just got screwed over while in training for a class A . I had to go update my class A permit and that’s when I got the paper telling me my license was being downgraded from a Class B to Class D . There’s no way to dispute it , people telling me it’s faster to just got through SAP , I have never failed a drug screen , I’m going through this because I was unaware of a company being able to decide the amount of urine needed ( Schneider ) 70ml or sum crazy . Well I was unaware of this because it was my very first time ever testing for a federal type job . I provided hair sample and urine . But when I brung the urine out she turned the bottle around and showed me a black line she wrote on it saying “ that’s where you needed to be “ “ you’ll have to re due your urine sample “ “ you have up to 3hrs , we will provide you with 3 cups of water .” “ and you can’t add to this one “ then tossed it ! I’m like huh ? I’m here on my break from my current job( there on my brake in the work van ). Mind you my brake only a hr long and I had to drive to the concentra to do the test . She like” well if you have to leave then I’ll have to mark you as a refusal “ I said “ well I just peed in et cup , I don’t have time I have to go back to work or else I’ll lose my job “ “ I have their work van I have to get back “ I can’t lose my job trying to get another , so she was like well contact your recruiter and see if it’s anything they can do “. Mind you this my first time ever doing any type of federal type process to get in a job , I left the concentra so naive thinking I’ll be able to get help from my recruiter like any other job and they did me so bad . Kilt my opportunity in getting a job in my dream field . I’ve done plenty of test for driving companies after to try and get on with their training programs and that’s when I learned that every company can handle their drug screening process how ever they like because I’ve never ran into no one writing a black line on the urine bottle . I just recently did a drug screen for 160 academy and they didn’t do that nor hair sample , and I just leaned that hair sample is not even federally regulated . I’ve also spoke with my old bus over at the bus garage and informed them about this new change and how was I even driving a school bus for as long as I was and this never came up . He said they do the clearinghouse thing every year , so there’s no way that they wouldn’t have seen it . Even also 160 academy because that was the most recent clearinghouse pulls and stuff . I’ve been in training at 160 for prolly the last month and a half , I think I started early November or late October of 2024 I was driving school busses before that , I had that situation Schneider way before I even thought about driving a school bus . Soo much time in between plenty of trips to the DMV and nothing until now lol . Now they want to do this after that long ???

Clearinghouse will not disclose to me when my follow up testing is done.How will I know when my record is cleared? I have left a testing facility too early deaming me failed and in violation.I tested then left not knowing the test had extra paperwork to sighn.Now a innocent man convicted unjustified with no proff can’t know when my follow up is done so I’m able to find employment.Im recently unemployed and follow up testing negative for 2.5 yrs and before that 30 years of negative test.Why is the government not making laws to protect me for company’s denying me employment when they say it’s ok to drive.Criminals have rights.Not sure if I’ll loose my home after 30 years of no road violations or accidents and now I’m poison.The clearinghouse has not made any difference in the safety trucks on the road.They only ruined drivers careers.Follow up testing negative should be my business and company’s shouldn’t have a hold on my license and non placement of employment.I deserve beter treatment and I hope I don’t loose what I worked so hard for.Shame on you U S Government.

Yep, I get mine even before my boss says anything. About 2 months b4 I need it. Just feels good to be done with it. I even go to a little DOT clinic, pay for it myself and good for another 2 years

Diabetes requires a yearly physical for your med card, it was changed in 2018. The only state that had a waiver called the k restriction, was Utah. Otherwise you were ineligible for a cdl class a if you were insulin dependent

Hair testing will never work to improve highway safety, not because the science is somehow flawed but because it had already fallen victim to the same thing that plagues many other government regulatory and insurance industry driven actions. The downward force to cut costs within the industry that is involved in private service contracting of testing, accreditation, and certification of Federal regulations makes any true honest effort to get it right a non starter. The Industry executives are in bed with the bureaucratic agencies and and since the only way to increase profit on Federal contracting is to reduce the cost of performing they hire who they can get for less money buy less accurate supplies cut quality and safeguards

Hypothetically, if a CDL driver gets DUI or a failed drug/alcohol test in a CMV and is not registered with the clearinghouse, how will they get notified if a violation had been entered in the clearing house, even though the CDL Driver is not registered? He/She gets a letter mailed? 2. I maintain my CDL Class A, I do not work for an employer who utilizes CMVs in any capacity. I also do not drink alcohol or consume recreational drugs, do I still need to be registered for the clearinghouse even if it is not required? ( I have a CDL Class A because I like trucks and It's my backup career).

"Safty?" Schools are handing out CDL's to people who can't even read or write in English. So-called "trainers" don't teach proper steep downhill breaking. In the last 5 year's I've seen hundreds of burnt tractor trailers, wrecks, and run away truck ramps than I have in my 30 years of driving. Most drivers are not even taught how to center themselves in a lane. Not to mention the hazardous laziness automatic transmissions cause...so many needless fatalities. Safty??? What a joke.

I'm a truck driver I've been doing it for 11 years I see a lot of these foreign truck drivers especially these older truck drivers having their phones up to their ears also I see a lot of them passing cops and the cops don't do anything because the cops don't want to get sued
