Nice to see Chris on the channel. I remember the day I sold him that 998. Had it running in the car, took it out and put it in Chris’s boot while his good lady patiently waited! Had it running on a Canems ecu and injection hence the trigger wheel.
To explain idle, progression, and main circuit you could show the viewer the lovely colour images in the Weber manual. They are an easy way to see what goes on ...great video again ..look forward to next week !
Great stuff. Amazing what occurs during your week. My first road legal bike was a C100 (50cc pushrod) in about 1980. So much more quicker than the C90 ohc I currently have. Keep doing what you're doing. 🙂
Lots of Imp engines taken to bits reviewed and tested, a ride in a Hillman Husky, police car clutch collapse, twin 40 issues and fixes, posh microphones, and Bergerak doing the filming... what's not to like!? Thanks again Andy.
Andy, a question followed by a thought. Rather than fitting the pulley and trigger wheel to the Farndon crank of the 1200 long-rod engine and getting it balanced to suit, can you not just balance the trigger wheel/pulley assembly? Perhaps that's what you're planning anyway. I know this would be costly, but had you considered having your own rocker covers cast with Shrigley Eng embossed? They would look awesome on all of your engine rebuilds and you could possibly subsidise the cost as they would be great advertising. Another great video, love the Husky!
I know what you mean about changing clutch bearings. Once I had done it once or twice I always made sure those tube clip screws were in the ideal position, normally access from underneath I think, and if I had space I would not lift the engine, just blocks under it with a jack under the manifold and the roll the car away from the engine. When you roll it back the splines line up and the jack allows you to wiggle the engine, well that s how I did it.
Bergeracs always trying to get on camera. Think he wants to be a porn star maybe already is. I'm off the Skegvegas not to watch the Stock cars but for a butlins 80s weekender and a dose of chasing some trim around the dance floor. I'm off to watch Millard's proper videos 😂😂💙🙏
Once again the best 50 minutes on Sunday night TH-cam! Well done Andy!
Wow, Andy. Your channel is a gem and great viewing for anyone who wants to learn about engines or Imps. I love it. Thanks.
Great report on the clamping forces on the cam shaft socket , sound 100% better .

The new microphones are a huge improvement Andy. It's great to hear both sides of the conversations clearly.

Result on the 930 Andy looked like it worked just perfect 👌
Massive improvement in audio. Resist the temptation to push the gain up too much. It'll clip n distort
I remember my dad telling me that the Husky was the only car you could drive wearing a top hat!

With the number of engine changes you do on the Husky, maybe you should install drawer rails like on the DAF-Domburg Diesel bus from the 50s. :)
Audio 100x better mate 👏😃
Brother and I grew up with 1974 c50 great machine. We used it like a scrambler!
honda is a interesting project
Andy, on the first engine you built why didn't you put the strengthening bolts through the water gallery in the side of the head?

the 90 degs to tdc on the crank sensor i was told as its when the piston is moving at its fastest its more accurate? enjoyed the vid as usual! thanks
I always thought that Misab was the manufacturer, MISAB = Motor Italia Sweden AB. AB means like limited company.
