You and Justine have convinced me to stop hoarding and become more creative with my reinkers. Thank you, Ingrid. You have made some beautiful backgrounds. 💕🇨🇦💕
I just rewatched Justine's 17 ways to use ink refills video, and now yours. All the tips in both are great. I use Ranger Distress Ink refills to color the edges of Tarot card decks. I apply the ink to a mini ink dauber and use that to apply ink to the edges, let dry, and wipe off any excess with a dry paper towel. It works great.
Hey there! No, photo paper isn't high enough quality. I use Kromekoat 10 or 12 pt. I get mine at Marco's Paper Supply in Ohio (online). Thanks for watching. :)
Hi Ingrid, I like paper, fabric takes first place, and now Kraft tex. What results have you had on fabric? I think I will play with Kraft text. That shaving cream and stencils, brilliant.
Love the techniques thru a stencil. I have a Ton of stencils and don’t use them enough! Play day coming! I did the shaving cream technique years, well decades to be honest, ago. I didn’t like it much because the colors were so muted. Well, now with distress inks?! Wowza! I wonder if my son will notice if I borrow his shaving cream?
Hello dear, you already made me buy the gel press, I have the impression that if I watch this video I will also buy tons of distress ink refills 😂😂😂😂😂 you are dangerous !!!!!! I love you ❤️
LOVE this! Thanks so much for sharing creative ways to use reminders! I have so many of them and your techniques will be both fun and help use my stash! Have a great day! 🙂
My first visit to your channel recommended by Justine and SO HAPPY she did!! These are FABULOUS Reinker ideas tips & tricks! It was SUPER FUN to watch and will be even MORE FUN to try them ALL!! I look forward to watching many more of your videos. New subbie for sure!! Arlene
Definitely my fav too!! And one of my absolute favorite of the bunch. So glad you enjoyed it Lindsay. I love your channel so much. Have fun playing around with it. Sometimes the simplest projects are the best, right?!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Means a lot. 😁😘🎨
Coming over from Justine's channel Ingrid! Beautiful projects and awesome techniques and I'm looking forward to what's next from you (new subbie). Thanks for sharing!
You are a never-ending font of creativity!!! 😊 Thanks for all the great ideas. Off to check out what Justine came up with. I know it will be a keeper, too.
Very fun techniques. I tried the shaving cream idea a few years ago with our church's Bible camp kids - the results were good but what an EPIC MESS! I will never do it with kids again but I have fun doing it myself.
I can totally imagine...lol. BUT what fun they probably had. I should do this technique with my niece and nephew...they'd probably love . Thanks for the idea! Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! 😀😀🎨
I am going over older techniques and found your great vid! loved it. When you use the left over shaving foam through a stencil, how do you get rid of the shaving foam, or do you just leave it to dry on its own
You can just wipe it off. Do it quick like pulling a bandaid. Experiment! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! It's so appreciated. ❤️😘🎨
Holy cow! I have greatly enjoyed the shaving cream technique, but NEVER thought about stenciling with it! Good point about using reinker instead of your pad. I NEVER thought about adding it to my gel medium! I have lots of distress, archival, and oxide reinkers. I will be pulling them out today
AWESOME! YES...stop the hoarding maddness....lol. Honestly - the stencil part of the shaving cream technique is even better than the swirl. And, freeze the shot with the 5 projects. The partial swirl Christmas one with the glittered JOY on it is a great card. Doesn't have to be the full panel. Thanks for popping by to watch Jesse. 😀😀🎨
@@IngridBlackburn I stress crafted today. A friend who was moving gave me 4x6 photo paper. I did 17 of those with the polished stone technique, and 8 8.5x11 sheets of glossy cardstock.
@@IngridBlackburn I looked in the visual list and couldn't find the glossy cardstock. My favorite has been out of stock for more than a year, do you have a link for your favorite?
In my experience, clear gesso dries white unless diluted with water. I used it on clear glass Christmas ornaments and found out the hard way. Good news is soaking in water makes the dried gesso slide right off the glass.
WOW. Ingrid, this is awesome! 😍 love the leftover shaving cream. Never thought of using the left over. BRILLIANT. Why didn’t I think of that. Lol. Crafty hugs and well done! Xx
SO glad you enjoyed this! We had fun coming up with the idea. It's been 6+ months in the making for us.....we've been excited to put this out! Thanks for popping by to watch. 😀😀🎨
Great ideas, thank you for the inspiration, I haven't purchased many reinkers but I do have some on my wish list and now I know other ways to use them.
I SO hear you Kathy! With foam pads, I have to get them, I do too many smooshing techniques. I've tried to change the way I think that they are a unit....lol. Not a sexy purchase, so I hope this helps make it one! Thanks for popping by to watch. 😀😀🎨
Hi Ingrid, such an uplifting and inspiring tutorial ❤. How do avoid smudging your ink effects? For example, shaving foam creations - does the foam need to dry out before removing it with a kitchen towel?
It does not! Just scrape it right off. Just do it confidently vs. hesitation. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I certainly appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave a comment. Happy creating! ❤️🎨😁
Wow! Amazing techniques. I love the shaving foam swirly one! How long does it take to dry? For the glossy one, can I use glossy photo paper as well? Thanks for the inspiration, Ingrid!
Ingrid, I love your hints & tips!!! Tfs XOXO
