    I have been crafting and making cards for over 20 years and I’ve noticed that as we learn new techniques or new styles of cards we forget the older ones, I have literally started redoing my old techniques and styles and modernising them a bit and having great fun. Love this video.😍😍

      Kathlene, do you adhere your stencils to the paper so they don't bleed under? If so, what do you use? (I see Y.T. vids of people using Distress Ink blending through stencils and am astounded that that technique seems NOT to bleed under!) Thanks for your input.

    This is my first time visiting your channel from Justine Hovey's channel and I'm about to nose dive into your videos as a new subscriber as well. I really liked everything! I didn't know that the Versamark could just be left alone on colored cardstock and dry with a deeper shade. I thought that it would just dry clear. Lol And I really liked the multiple ways you showed how to use stencils/stamps. Thank you and have a blessed, crafty day!

    I LOVED this tutorial. So much jammed packed in it. I always wondered what to do when I dropped an ink pad on my paper as I have improvised or ruined a nice project several times. I am so glad Justine collaborated with you as I never saw your channel before. Whoo HOO!!
    The question I have is an ink question. We have oxides and distress, we have versamark and Stazon. We have momento and Altenew but Catherine pooler ink I have been wondering about for just regular stamping as you did in the video. Each brand has its own “thing” but because I am thinking of investing heavily in new color inks I’m hard pressed to decide which brand to go with. what is your take on Poolers inks? Thank gobs!
    My favorite of your techniques is the torn edged one.

    • @dotalinadavis7557
      @dotalinadavis7557 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ingrid Blackburn Wow that’s a lot to think about re CPI. She has a huge assortment of colors which is intriguing. I heard mentioned by someone on line that said Lawn Fawn and a couple others, SSS , are all from the same manufacturer so there prob isn’t much difference. You said CP were translucent so the color would alter a bit when stamped on color cardstock? (I don’t mean to bug you but I’m trying to figure this out.). Lol. GK seems to be a nice ink but I don’t see many people on TH-cam using it or the stamping up brand. Thanks again for helping me!

    Thank you for the technique reminders, I often forget as well! I’d never tried the ‘faux torn paper’ before (very cool) but wanted to let you know how I ‘tweaked’ it a bit... after stamping image on my card front with black archival ink, I went back over it with embossing ink & powder...I’m a sucker for heat embossing! Then I wanted to fill the blank margins by adding/blending bohemian colors that would match my pre-cut sentiment (without losing the torn look) so I flipped the torn pieces over and used em’ as masks (matching respective sides). I wanted the white card stock to still look crisp showing through the black ink of my stamped image...and WOW! So thanx again for the ‘igniting idea’ to one of the coolest lookin’ cards (for teen birthday) I’ve made in a long time, it was a lot of fun!
