Hi Rob - great responses and thanks so much for the shout out - very kind of you. Love the fact that you just keep on playing and waxing lyrical about Roy Harper - I always love that focus and enthusiasm and the sheer pleasure that an artist can bring us. Hoping we might get to meet in Birmingham this year !

Hi Rob, it’s a Harper-Fest! and why not, excellent stuff. Two solid Sparks albums. Gotta be the 70’s, as you say classic albums across multi-genres. Interesting dinner party guests, it would no doubt be an entertaining party. Big Pink classic. Mike

Great response from the pink room Rob. You’re not alone in your love of Roy Harper Rob. It’s a great day when I find another out in the wild, which doesn’t happen enough I can assure you. Have yet to see anyone from Britain choose another country other than England, which is understandable. I chose the US because I like to buck the trend😁😉. Cheers.

      Hey Jack, Happy new year!.
Glad to hear you're a fellow Roy worshipper..his earlier albums are relatively easy to find, here in the UK as they were issued on EMI Harvest and had decent distribution..once he started label jumping in the 80s and 90s, they become harder to find.
It was virtually impossible for me to choose any other country than the UK because of Roy!
all the best and thanks gor watching.

Your RH related dinner party would have some interesting conversation. I had to smile when you LOST the record for “we lost them in 2023”. You will be surprised to hear that I don’t have that Kate Bush album in my collection- but I do need to get it in 2024. Great video response. Cheers Bill

Hi Rob. Well done on speedily making a Vinyl Tag response,
I’d be quite interested in that Emma Anderson album as I too really like Lush.
Good choice of Sparks with those two albums. I have to be in the mood for Sparks because as you said they’re so frenetic in sound.
Nice also to see Renaissance - I only discovered them in 2023.
Never knew Roy Harper was from Manchester - but you should know, being his number one fan 😂
As for 7” singles, I have quite a lot but don’t play them very much.
Susanna Hoffs seems to have been the most in demand dinner party guest. Jimmy Page is an excellent choice though.
Will check out Morten and Graham’s channels...
    Take care, John.

Thanks John..although at nearly 40 minutes I was hardly ' speedy ' 😁..thanks for sticking with it.
Yes, that Emma Anderson has become a bit of an obsession, it's got a lovely atmosphere.
Someone suggested I should have included Waters to the party along with Gilmour, but I figured that definitely wouldn't end well...
      All the best.

Hi Rob. I thought you'd started doing that weird thing where people refer to themselves by name. I eventually realised you were talking about Rob Walker ... Some good albums here. I particularly liked how you showed a varied selection in support of your choice of the 1970's for best decade ... The Emma Anderson CD was a surprise to me. I've recently been listening to 'Lovelife' and loving the power pop sound. Lush were a band that had a few bad breaks, and should have been bigger. I'll keep a watching brief on the price of Emma's CD ... I knew Sparks were prolific, but didn't realise they'd released two albums within a few months. Bands are just too precious and slow these days. I blame the Stone Roses ... Graham Allan is one of the most articulate members of the vinyl community. I'll be watching his vinyl tag video at some point (there are just so many I want to watch this year!) ... We share a love for 'Sheet Music'. Such an inventive band when they had the classic lineup. All the best for 2024, Carl

Didn't realise I'd mentioned Rob thst many times!
I was a big Lush fan back in the day and saw them live in Birmingham around 1990..when I heard Emma had released an album I had to get it pronto!.
Graham is a great guy..we almost met up here last year at the Motorcycle Museum record Fair but sadly it didn't happen.
      Have fun with the tag.

Very nice answers Rob. I just put my copy of 'Kimono My House' through the spin cleaner yesterday, as I tried to listen to it the other night and it was in a bit of a mess. I'm a walking contradiction in that The Beatles are my favourite band yet I also would choose the 1970s to listen to over every other decade. I think The Age of Plastic actually came out in 1980 by the way, though Video Killed The Radio Star preceded it at the back end of the 70s. Don't hold me to that though. I think it's great that you still spend most of your listening time with Roy Harper. Did you know that Nick Harper supported Squeeze in the late nineties and ended up being signed to Glenn Tilbrook's label Quixotic? Cheers James

You're going to have to rename your channel The Roy Harper Appreciation Society! Not that I'm complaining. BTW do you have the BBC Tapes sets? I think there were 6 in total, but I only have one - I really should try and find the rest - wish I'd got them all when I had the chance.
I really should get that Dave Evans album.
Great to see The superb No Roses being shown - total classic. The best thing The Buggles ever did was the album Drama as Yes - brilliant.
You had to show a Roy Harper album for Jimmy Page didn't you rather than Zeppelin 🤣. Surprised you didn't do the same for Gilmour - or at the very least show Wish You Were Here. If you're inviting Gilmour you should have invited Waters too (though the party might not have lasted too long).
Don't put yourself down - you're videos are always great to watch - as I said in my video, channels like yours take me back to my days in Manchester meeting up with friends in the pub, showing each other what we'd bought that day, talking everything music - and thanks for that.
Strong finish with the wonderful Sheet Music.
