- In 1996, I was introduced to a 1973 Ampeg SVT and immediately bought it and stacked it on top of an 8x10 cabinet. Other than downsizing to the SVT3, I seriously haven't looked back. Ampeg is still my favorite amplifier for bass.

I know P bass through an SVT is a trope, but to me it sounds, meh.
I appreciate the honest feedback. I actually had reservations about posting it because how it felt just didnât cut through with the iPhone mic. Then recorded di but didnât feel that it sounded more present. This is why I sat on it for weeks. I will do better.

The SVT 2 sounds good to me, but I failed to reproduce the sound I was hearing in person through this video.
I like the SVT 7 pro personally, but in the end the Orange AD200 is what I return too, I like the more prominent mids. I would totally gig with either of those though ðŦĄ
