I still enjoy watching this movie occasionally. There was also a loose sequel called Zapped again!
I saw this in theaters. Light and silly. Typical 80s sex jokes. Loved the soundtrack
Seeing this from the back seat of my parents car at the drive-in is my very first movie memory. I was 3 years old at the time and it was a double feature with Creepshow.
I remember back in the day, this movie was a constant staple of pay cable.
I saw this in a theater when I was 13. All I remember is the puke scene.
I remember when they made this movie into a sitcom. It was slightly different and called Charles in Charge.
David Pomeranz - King & Queen of Hearts' is a Great Song for a Wedding...
I had the honor of playing in Cincinnati rock band "East Orange Express" with David Pomeranz, October 1968 to June 1969. In December 1968, the band recorded the John Denver penned song, "Leaving, On A Jet Plane" lead vocal by Pomeranz but was never released, probably for good reason, lol. That recording can be heard on my original TH-cam channel "Dan Schear." Do check it out!

It's not exactly shocking to hear that this one hasn't aged particularly well, but then again the same could probably be said for most of the sex comedies from that era.
As a Star Trek fan, I got a slight chuckle out of the low-budget Enterprise parody. Now that I think about it, the whole thing might've been somewhat funnier if there were a few more silly fantasy skits scattered throughout.
The Barney character was kind of a brainy nerd stereotype who probably wished people saw him as successful, heroic and cool. Perhaps another side-effect of the chemical explosion could've been an overstimulated imagination, so he indulges in some additional daydream sequences.
Interesting theory
Who remembers the Star Trek/Star Wars hybrid model?
The Aluminum Falcon?
Scatman Crothers is the 🐐
i think i saw this on USA Up All Night back in the day.
It was huge when it hit cable. I think I first saw it on HBO or Showtime back in the day
Man I forgot how strange this movie was. I saw it once when I was a kid and even then thought it was just garbage, entertaining, but not for the right reasons. It's made for tv sequel is even worse and I had to kind dig for it when I discovered it.
Garbage you say? Well then, we'll definitely be reviewing Zapped Again! LOL
Heather Thomas was always the better Heather.
He is also on square pegs the new wave teen comedy from the 80s
Willy aims role would have been a perfect Michael J Fox role.
Willy played in a pathetic blue lagoon rip off
gonna need a title... we may have to review it.
I’ll look it up lol
