Mod Chip is superior in my opinion. Just being able to overclock the switch, installing 60FPS cheats, and even booting into Andriod/Linux for emulator support is just too good to pass up. Installing the modchip is dirt cheap too, just a cheap soldering iron, a $10 modchip and some patience is enough.
@@ericthomas2388 I agree to an extent. Definitely for the v1 switch it's a lot easier to solder. But the oled switch was annoying IMHO. But if you have the skill, it's a no brainer. If you don't, you may risk bricking your switch.
Sweet spot is v2 Mariko. performance wise similar to oled, smaller node, long time battery, and high oc capacity, whilst being easy to solder@@mikeys_youtube_makes
I know that my soldering skill is not enough, so I gave the console to the master to install the chip, the cost of the chip together with the 256GB memory card and with the installation work is equal to the cost of the migswitch cartridge. Initially, I wanted to buy a cartridge
The mod chip is very difficult to install and you have the risk of bricking your switch. Therefore the mig switch v2 is my choice. Pretty sure they will use the flash card to soft mod the switch. As it happened with the ds and 3ds. ☮️
In my opinion these are 2 completely different topics. It would’ve made more sense if you put a OG modded switch vs a mod chip but the MiG dumper? The MiG dumper is literally just a tool to extract and play switch games not requiring any modding. The mod chip is a full blown mod and custom firmware.
fr this guy just wasted his time making this video we all thought the same thing mig switch is a complete waste of time compared to modding a switch or just buying an unpatched v1 and homebrewing it
@ yeah I got a mig switch and a cfw switch. It does come in handy when I don’t want to bring a lot of games but the process to dump them without the dumper takes a while not to long just extra steps. Maybe when the switch 2 it’ll be more useful.
Its sad that during the V1 era a lot of people exposed the weakness of the switch, which forced Nintendo to make a V2 with fixed chip, we would've gotten the best and easier way to do CFW if people just kept their mouths shut and just complained about the battery life or something
MOD is for experiment and total offline playing. But safe bet is Switch Dumper and MIG Flash to legal backup and play on your console. A few have talked doing this way it your legal way to have more games on one cart and know your safe. MODs chips is all intended purpose "OFFLine" regardless what one may think. Buy another 350 or 399 Switch 2 because your account not just Switch got banned is a dumb move.
Could you use the MiG dumper with an emulator? Theres some Pokemon mods I wanna play, but wouldn't mind just sticking to an emulator for a bit. I have a V2 Switch. I really hope some good modding options come out when the Switch 2 launches or when the Switch 1 looses support
no if you own the game physically then you are allowed to have the right to own a digital copy. remember .. digital owning isnt a owning of a game according to game industry.
@mikeys_youtube_makes I am trying to think if we can use it in a hard mod in EMUnand without ban should work. It will give you another SD card slot to use.
MIG Flash is for your legal owned games don't equate this with Privacy those people are the very one that go banned their account and Switch banned on Nintendo.
@julmik2 ah I didn't know that. Since owning the mig Switch. Never needed to research other ones lol. Would be good to see what the differences are though
@@cloudliusihui they both are. But the mig Switch requires you to have the bin files. And from what I've seen there are websites that just contain the xci files. So more than likely people are using the mig Switch to backup original physical games

Yea the certificate thing makes the mig switch pretty much worth less imo unless just trying to not carry all ur games around. But let's me honest who needs to carry more than what a case can carry.
I tried the mig switch, and it corrupted my sd card, creating a request that cannot be deleted, A thousand times better for the price to put a chip and forget about it

The big question is" will the MigSwitch work on the Nintendo switch 2?

I’m okay with the Mig dumper, wanted to use my Rog ally as a switch 😂

Nintendo Switch Mod is like the PSP Mod now, it's Nintendo turn
I think if u have enough time and patience the mod chip is the best option since you can play older gen games over lock cheats etc while its cheap
If you use the Meg switch option do you still need a hackable switch or nah ?
Having had both i'd pick the Mig Switch over the modded switch. i plug the mig switch into my phone and bing bang boom. playing games on my phone

Looking forward if someone can creat a card which can install with different OS.
Honestly if migswitch work like good old harddisk/microsd that store game like on ps2/ps3/nds back then and as easy as them to use, i would buy it
All I want to do is back MY OWN GAMES, and play them off the mig, will this get me in any trouble?
no if you own the game physically then you are allowed to have the right to own a digital copy. remember .. digital owning isnt a owning of a game according to game industry.
So what if you use the Mig switch on hard mod switch in EMUnand and use 90dns this should work to block ?
@@RGhandhelds this is the setup I have now. And works fine. But it's just whether it's worth getting the mig Switch if you've already hard modded it

@mikeys_youtube_makes I have X2 Mig switch and hard mod so you so it works fine on EMUnand without band?
still holding out for a soft mod way like the old Sw v1 had
The Switch 2 is unhackable because it's not available yet
That is tailor-made for switch 1.
Sick man
Modders are still trying to figure out how to inject custom firmware using the migswitch.

@billballmar6003 It was a card I used in my switch on a regular basis, a 512 Sandisk
