    Wonderful testimony! God bless you, brother! That appearance of Jesus sounds like a true miracle, and testimonies like this are why I'm not cessationist

      Haha yeah. People often ask me if I am a cessationist or a charismatic. I usually try to say it is impossible for me to be a cessationist (for this obvious reason), but I am never sure how I feel about the charismatic label exactly. The dichotomy is a bit fraught

    Thank you so much for your testimony! This strengthened me quite a lot. I have a lot of Jewish friends that I’m trying to share the gospel with, and sometimes it feels hopeless. But your story helped me remember that Jesus can and will do amazing things to bring people to Him. God bless!!

    I also deal with depression, and I spent more than 15 years of my life from teenager into my 30s as an agnostic. Interestingly, I also read and enjoyed Frankl, but while in Catholic high school. Your testimony is so much like mine. God bless you and keep you, brother.

    Thank you for telling your story. Isaiah is a wonderful book, testifying of Christ and His Church. Some of my favourite verses testifying to Jesus' divinity are Isaiah 9.6 and 10.20-21. Isaiah uses the term 'el gibbor (mighty God) exclusively for YHWH the Holy One of Israel, upon whom personally the faithful shall depend, and the Child to be born is called 'el gibbor. A good study is the 3 volume The Book of Isaiah by Edward J Young who was professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary. Anglicans can make use of non-Anglican scholars, even if having some disagreements on aspects of their theology, there is much agreement on the inspiration and interpretation of Scripture. As a fellow "theology nerd", I have some readings on my channel from Anglican theologians which you might enjoy. I am especially fond of Henry Parry Liddon, who has been somewhat neglected in our day. I have readings of his lectures "On the Divinity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ", on a playlist of that name. Also on my Christian Doctrine playlist, and Sermons and Prayers playlist, I have readings from other Anglican theologians such as Darwell Stone, Alexander Penrose Forbes and E B Pusey. I wish you well in your studies and in your walk of faith.

    Do you identity as an messianic jew? Do you follow jewish festivals like yom kippur even now?

    • @Young_Anglican
      @Young_Anglican  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I used to. But I have since found keeping those practices to be theologically unsound

      @@Young_Anglican OK, I just asked to clarify as messianic jew claims to practice jewish festivals still as christians.

      The answer to every question is conversion unto Christ.
