Talamasca is an age-old secret society that deals with supernatural phenomena. They have solemnly sworn to watch but never to interfere. Throughout the centuries, this secret order had dealt with vampires, werewolves, demons, mummies, and Mayfair Witches. They also possess preternatural abilities such as telepathy, telekinesis, astral projection, and body swapping. Their first appearance in the Immortal Universe was in Ann Rice's Mayfair Witches Season 1 and Season 2 with a spin-off in pre-production Ann Rice's Talamasca. FYI, Ann Rice's Interview with the Vampire has been renewed for a third season focusing on the Vampire Lestat as he tells his side of the story. Doing this while forming a rock and role band to entertain the world much to the chagrin of the other vampires.
I love how everyone watching this show is as obssessed with Lestat as Louis is 😂 Sam Reid is an amazing actor and I can't see anyone playing Lestat after his performance. I'm so glad we get a season 3 that's centered around his character.
i missed him so much 😭😭😭 thank god, next season they'll focus on Lestats origins and side of the story. I love Sam Reid. Hes one of the best actors working today. people always rave abotu timothee and Paul Mescal. But the best acting I've seen is from this small cast. Jacob, sam, Assad are the real stars
@@Stephaniacat I agree. I first saw him in Belle and when he delivered that line towards the end of the movie, I knew he was an amazing actor alone from that one scene. He is the only reason I decided to give this series a shot in the first place and I wasn't disappointed
My girl Claudia finally found happiness and a companion, and this happened😭. (The next episode is amazing, up there with episode 5.) Great reaction, as always.
The reaction to seeing lestat was just like mine I can’t wait for the next episode and also the show being renewed for a third season so we get more of this brilliant show loving it and these reactions
The reaction to Lestat's appearance was priceless! A much-needed pick-me-up after the heartbreak of Armand's betrayal! Each episode amps up the stakes in S2, and the next one is no exception!!! Great job!
the talamasca is known for observing but to never interfere with the immortal world,,they are planning on making a show about them in the next few years so hopefully we get to see more of them in the future;)
Also if you guys decide to cover the Anne Rice Universe the witching hours also part of this world. The talamasca are mentioned in that series as well. Season 1 has already completed. But I know a lot of people complain that they don't feel that the showrunners follow the source material as much as they should have. Interview with the Vampire is definitely much better I will say.
This whole season each episode just gets better and better. Raglan James casually dropped an Easter egg for us book readers that I hope the series explores next season. Seeing Lestat in the theatre getting ready for the trial never gets old. I cannot wait for y'alls reactions to the next episode!
I swear I haven't had a full body reaction like I did with the return of Lestat since the Season 6 finale of Game of Thrones 😂🎉 I love this show, and every single one of these f'd up characters ❤
Reasons I love watching these again with you guys you often pick up on something I missed. The Rashid thing I was like yea yeah bye bye next scene and didn't PAY ATTENTION and totally missed what you guys didn't. Thanks.
ooof next episode ....... Yall caught up FAST ! episode 7 was crazy and i can't wait to see your reactions.. Been waiting for the finale and i'm so excited but sad that this season is ending
I'm not sure who to believe. I could see why Louis would have asked Armand to erase his memory. He's already endured so much trauma. Maybe he didn't want that memory.
Talamasca is a secret organization from the books that keeps watch over anything paranormal (Witches, Vampires, etc.). They are getting a Spin-Off show on AMC+. I'm hoping it is more in line with the amazing quality of Interview with the Vampire and not like The Mayfair Witches.
I felt the same way upon my first viewing of 'The Mayfair Witches'; but now I don't think it's really that bad. Not great. But not as horrible as everyone is making it out to be. It's just a whole separate tv show unto itself with a completely different type of story. It's unfair to compare it to 'IWTV'. Also 'IWTV' has the luxury of being able to keep a lot of elements of the original story. But they almost had to rewrite the WHOLE Mayfair story. The original story has a lot of problematic details that are essential to the storyline. Stuff they could not air on tv. Generational family incest being the main one. So realizing that, I see the challenges presented to the show creators and how the first season was about setting up a very heavily edited and almost ENTIRELY new take to set up for a better season two. Fingers crossed🤞, because I haven't given up on that dynasty of witches just yet. We haven't even seen the Taltos yet, or heard Lasher's full story.
@7n154 ummm, game of thrones, House of the dragon, that's generational incest right there. Also, they've done the VC Andrews books on television and that's straight up modern day incest.

This whole season each episode just gets better and better. Raglan James casually dropped an Easter egg for us book readers that I hope the series explores next season. Seeing Lestat in the theatre getting ready for the trial never gets old. I cannot wait for y'alls reactions to the next episode!
I was eating when I first watched this episode and Lestat showed up. I almost choked on my pizza. Next episode though OMG!
I swear I haven't had a full body reaction like I did with the return of Lestat since the Season 6 finale of Game of Thrones 😂🎉 I love this show, and every single one of these f'd up characters ❤
Last episode was my favorite episode, then I saw this one and it became my favorite episode, and the next episode is now my favorite episode! 😄
Reasons I love watching these again with you guys you often pick up on something I missed. The Rashid thing I was like yea yeah bye bye next scene and didn't PAY ATTENTION and totally missed what you guys didn't. Thanks.

I'm not sure who to believe. I could see why Louis would have asked Armand to erase his memory. He's already endured so much trauma. Maybe he didn't want that memory.

Thanks to Bryce and Rob! 🧛♀ Emma Freeman directed this episode and the next one.
Errmmm, I wouldn't get too excited for the next episode of I were you guys.

One can only hope!

I pray to God it is! I pray that they use the same showrunners as Interview with the Vampire for talamasca series.
@7n154 ummm, game of thrones, House of the dragon, that's generational incest right there. Also, they've done the VC Andrews books on television and that's straight up modern day incest.
I'm a generational X. Now leave me alone.
That ending… 😭
I think you were meant to feel unease when they were turning Madeline. It was just foreshadowing of what was to come with Armand's betrayal.
The next episode is going to be sooo Sad.
Are you guys gonna watch the 1994 movie when you finish the series?
I don't know if they have said that they're going to or not but I really hope that they do!
The movie theater section is so rushed it's amazing how different that section if the movie is from the book or the show
