I'm loving the new builds Glen. I've had an idea on how to grow your patreon numbers. Have you considered possibly offering the ability for your patreons to be able to access your full catalogue of project plans if they sign up for say $5-10 per month? Just an idea!
Only DIY guy on youtube that not only shows you how to do it with proper tools, but also how to do it if you don't necessarily have the perfect tool for the job. Great work!
PE teacher here, kicked the clunky old desk out of the tiny office I have and have been using an old TV cart as my desk. I see a weekend here soon, making this laptop stand. 👍🏻
I'm a mechanic for the Army and we use the Toughbook all the time for diagnostics and our manuals are on it. This would be great for holding it when working instead of looking for some place to set it. Thanks for the idea.
Standing desk is 100% good for back pain - as a person with chronic back pain I can tell you - 100%. I switched to a standing desk last Jan and noticed massive improvement I've had to switch back to a sitting desk this week and after just 2 days sitting the level of pain comes right back. You might want a wider base in both directions to maintain stability when raised, or if you are going to put full size monitors on it. Love your channel - Keep it up !
Man, you need to market this and a lot of your other projects! I currently live in an apartment in Nashville, TN and space is limited and based on your budget! Keeping that in mind, there is no room for my old office. This would help out a lot! Market this!
Glenn, I love your videos! And this is another BRILLIANT IDEA! You make great looking things, and what I especially like, is your editing. Too many people make videos where the audio goes from talking, to screaming power tools because they don’t adjust the volume! So I like that you narrate over the videos. Always inspirational work, Glenn! Great job! 👍
This is a great workable design. It has the ability to be easily modified for anyone's personal preference. I really do love the work that you do in these videos.
Thank you!!!!! No one else does like you. You are a wonderful man that does wonderful work that is always explained in an understanding manner. Thank you
I am looking to build something like this but on a much smaller scale. I just need it for book reading without having to hold the book. So I'd like it to get pretty low so you can read while sitting on the sofa and go high enough so you could roll it into the kitchen to read a recipe. I'd love if you could make something like this. I just love your videos. I am so happy I found you.
Wish me luck, I'm going in. I just finished your patio chair using reclaimed wood fence 4 x 4s, and it turned out sweet. This time, however, I'm buying new wood and will try to build four of these. I'm a housing director at a college, and two of my lobbies need two standing workstations. Thanks!
I made this and it came out awesome! My jig saw skills aren't there and I don't have a router so I had to think of some creative ways to hide the imperfections but it's done and it feels so good.
Pretty awesome mate!. I've been standing for 3 years (I'm a computer programmer). I built my own stand up desk from a simple 750mm x 500mm MDF board that's got glued on faux leather. It's been placed on the top of my existing desk raised up by two extended monitor shelves. It's really perfect (as I have multiple monitors). I've always planned to make a better one, but this one is so good and simple I've never prioritised it. Anyway your build was awesome and has given me some great ideas.
Awesome to hear you're now able to do this full time. I've watched a lot of DIY videos, and your are probably my favourite. Your simple but effective designs, problem solving skills, voice overs on the videos, and overall quality of work is just excellent and fun to watch. Keep 'em coming!
Congratulations Glen on making the jump to a full time creator. Maybe one of these days I’ll be able to follow in your footsteps. Love this build, think I may make one for my office
Definitely love it! I love your restraint cuz i was thinking of adding an air spring then considered stepper motor...All more things to postpone the project AND go bad! You are the wiser for it!
LOVE your channel. I am farrrr from being handy and definitely can’t cut wood but I still enjoy it. Maybe when I retire, I’ll go back to school for carpentry. Then I’ll make all the stuff I’ve seen on your channel.
Due to backpain, and a little spot to install a station for my PRO laptop and additional screen, I will inspire myself with this standing desk ! Thanks for sharing !
Nice build Glenn. I know what you mean with having to stop yourself and wanting to add more features to things. Sometimes keeping it simple is just better.
I love it. I love the build. I love the video. That said, research has already debunked that working standing up is good for your health, as well as that it alleviates back pain. I believe the new thing they are encouraging is the kneeling desk-chair.
Mikhail Galatinov In IT for 35 years. Sitting for the first 33. That debunked comment is false. Standing at your desk does strengthen the core. Which in turn helps with blood flow, digestion and all kinds of back and leg issues. Anyone who doesn't believe hasn't tried it. Start with a standing mat and short intervals. Working up to longer intervals. There are apps to remind you. It Only takes a couple of days to start feeling it.
It’s perfect!! I could watch you build stuff all day. Your ideas and how you implement them is what keeps me watching. GREAT JOB AND I LOVE THE DESK/standing laptop table. Turned out amazing.
Love your builds, Glen (Glynn?). Especially how you don't over-complicate things or use tons of expensive equipment. You've given me a lot of inspiration. Unlike many of the other channels, yours makes me say "wait, I could do that!". Keep up the good work. Ken.
hello, it is a very smart design, an easy mechanism of adjusting the height. And it looks elegant too. I also appreciate that its portable. I am simply amazed. Thanks a lot for this one. You are a very talented man !
Your creativity is amazing. Thank you for sharing with me and the world. Many blessings to you and your family. Congratulations to being able to bet on yourself.
A second monitor with an articulating arm would be a great addition but this is great idea even in the more simple form. I think I am going to need to build this for may garage. Thanks for sharing!
Very cool! A friend of mine just asked me the other day if I could build one of these for him. I had never seen one before so this video is very timely. I really like all the ideas you have for this. One thing that might look good on yours is some half-round trim around the base. You could stain it the same color and it might make the transition between the paint and the stained wood better. Just a thought... Great job!
I just wanted to give a thumbs up for your ideas and video it has helped myself with my own furniture creations, and definitely helped kept my mind at rest during this Covid-19 outbreak. Thankyou!
My wife has seen me watching your videos and I have a pretty decent "Honey do or build list now "Thanks lol seriously your designs are really cool and I am excited to try several once I have the time
Looks awesome! Love the gray/natural combo. The base seems like it would also be good if you wanted to have different tops (like if you wanted to swap out the laptop stand for a camera/light stand or something). Really cool build!
I really liked the desk and was impressed by your craftsmanship. If I were to do something similar I would make one with a fixed height for me (I'm 6'2"), a single top, and a base of 1"x6"s for more support. Since I am not a carpenter, this would be the easier route for me. Would you have a video of this type of build? Again, nice work and I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Wow! I've been thinking about my own small footprint standing desk for awhile now. Your design solves some of the problems I've been pondering. Thanks for the video! You are the idea man! Keep up the good work!!
OMG this is exactly what i need right now !! i would just add something behind to hold the laptop power supply and a way to control the cable management !!! execpt taht this is a real cool project i always get joy to watch your work !! from Senegal ! keep it up broo
Great COW stand. My ONLY suggestion would be to fill the base screw holes with epoxy before connecting the second layer of plywood- if the screws ever work loose there would be NO way to fix the wobble. Love your stuff. Congrats on going F/T!

Awesome as usual! Wonder if a TV lift mechanism could be incorporated?
I'm loving the new builds Glen. I've had an idea on how to grow your patreon numbers.

Thanks, bro! I think so, as long as the bottom is heavy enough
DIY Creators you are doing great job, I just can't stop watching your video. My Hands in the air man. Love you!
the shot of you lap topping out in the wilderness got me :)
lol :D
Dude I was DYING.
Lmaooo that part was hilarious but it’s an awesome desk👌
Hey! You never know when you will be camping and need to bring a laptop and adjustable standing desk!
Should have used camouflage, though.
Only DIY guy on youtube that not only shows you how to do it with proper tools, but also how to do it if you don't necessarily have the perfect tool for the job. Great work!

Glad to see a black man in the woodworking/craftsman space on TH-cam. Great build 👍🏾
Another beautiful, clean build. The socket with built in USB charger is a great choice and the cable compartment is an amazing idea.
Glenn’s Ideas are way too good. No other youtuber has this much imagination and skill.👌👌
Every project you put out there has great design. Practical but with a cool clean style. Very glad to see you are doing this full- time.
Thanks, Mike!

You always come up with the most clever designs!

Thanks, David! I appreciate the feedback
yeah i agree with that !
Nice, I like the contrasting colors and the mobility of this project.
This is a great workable design. It has the ability to be easily modified for anyone's personal preference. I really do love the work that you do in these videos.
BROTHER IT,S NOT ONLY GREAT BUT BEAUTIFUL TO WITNESS YOUR WOODWORKING ,MAN YOUR A INSPIRATION PLEASE KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING THANKS.
This is great! I love how you had to catch yourself from going overboard. This is on my build list for my husband and me.
Thank you!!!!! No one else does like you. You are a wonderful man that does wonderful work that is always explained in an understanding manner. Thank you
I’m in 7th grade middle school woodshop class, I’m gonna do this as a project, thanks you inspired me!

GLEN THIS IS FANTASTIC!! I love the shot of the greenery! This is a great idea for the garage!!
Thank you, Absolutely

another amazing project...and so useful in today's world of technology.
I like the simplicity of this. None of those silly pneumatic lifting devices.
The best standing desk i've ever seen as a DIY project
Congratulations on making this a full time job! Can’t wait to see what else you make.
This is a pretty cool build! I love the idea of having a standing desk that takes up so little space. Great build!
Thank you :D!
I love the power point and storage port, I'll try this as a sofa desk!
Thank you, sure thing go for.

Why do you do such amaizing things, and make it look so easy.
Awesome project. I have neither the tools or skills so will ask my carpenter to build one for me. Thank you for making these videos!
Awesome. I like the built-in USB/110 volt outlet with the 10ft extensions. Well done.
Also first American I've seen using safety gear on the table saw! Congratulations!
This is awesome and very pretty.
Bob would be happy of all the clamps.
Due to backpain, and a little spot to install a station for my PRO laptop and additional screen, I will inspire myself with this standing desk ! Thanks for sharing !
Awesome build, simple, easy, quick, best part simple tools required,
Been watching your videos for weeks now. Can't believe I'm just now subscribing. You've given me a ton of ideas.
Nice build Glenn. I know what you mean with having to stop yourself and wanting to add more features to things. Sometimes keeping it simple is just better.
Yes, Some time you have to just stop :).
little RGB wont hurt much glenn... haha
I love it. I love the build. I love the video. That said, research has already debunked that working standing up is good for your health, as well as that it alleviates back pain. I believe the new thing they are encouraging is the kneeling desk-chair.
Thank you, interesting. I personally find my self-more focus standing up. Totally possible though.

Thanks, man!

Awesome brother may Almighty GOD keep you healthy, happy, wealthy and wise to make more useful videos for people Amen
Funny that you just published this as a friend was asking about a stand-up desk. I will be building something based off of this design. Great work!
Awesome project, sir! And yes, I agree with your simple's better approach. Clean and functional.
A second monitor with an articulating arm would be a great addition but this is great idea even in the more simple form. I think I am going to need to build this for may garage. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, my pleasure!
Love the build and the cup holder idea even sounds legit especially if your using it in the shop for planning
ARE TOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?! You are a freaking genius!
Congrats on going full-time, Glen!!!!
Thank you
Fantastic build. This is the perfect project for my growing stack of pallet wood.
Very cool! A friend of mine just asked me the other day if I could build one of these for him. I had never seen one before so this video is very timely. I really like all the ideas you have for this. One of your best projects.
Yet another brilliant design and crisp build video. Thanks
this is better than anything that's on sale. I'm going to make it this weekend. thank you!
Yet another excellent project. Well done.
I just wanted to give a thumbs up for your ideas and video it has helped myself with my own furniture creations, and definitely helped kept my mind at rest during this Covid-19 outbreak. Thankyou!

I am inspired yet again my friend. This will be my next build from pallet wood.

Great project! There are a lot of neat little tricks I learned form watching your workflow. Thanks!
You did it 4 years ago!?)) Oh my God, and I just see it... My respect)
Wow! I've been thinking about my own small footprint standing desk for awhile now. Your design solves some of the problems I've been pondering. Thanks for the video! You are the idea man! Keep up the good work!!
Man, your brain works ALRIGHT! Awesome job!
Thank you :)
Love this! And great for apartments, doesn't take up too much space.
Outstanding build and design Glen!!! I need to make a pair, cannot wait for your plans.
Combination of functionality and simplicity. Well done Glen. Admire ur step to become a full time content maker 👍👍👍
Thanks Josh!
I love this my brother. I haven't constructed it yet but I can already see myself using it. Keep up the great work.
This looks awesome, definitely going to build it at some point. The shot of you working with your laptop in the bushes is great!
Thanks, Drew :D
Dude, this an awesome build. I'll be checking some more of your videos. Build On!!
Awesome project man!
OMG this is exactly what i need right now !! i would just add something behind to hold the laptop power supply and a way to control the cable management !!! execpt taht this is a real cool project i always get joy to watch your work !! from Senegal ! keep it up broo
Thank you :)
Great idea been working on making a desk for myself this gave me a spark on how I wanna do it.
Nice project Glenn. Hoping you are successful in your going full time. Looking forward to more great projects.
Nice and clean look. Adding a arm or build in holder type slot with charger for tablet and/or phone would be a nice option too.
Thank you, yes good ideas for additions and can be added at any time.
You've gotten yourself a new fan! Love your videos. All of them!
Sweet! Thank you
This is an amazing I standing desk option. Your projects always look amazing and I love the videos and explanations. You have a gift.
Excellent job with the video!! So easy to understand and so well produced!! One of the best that I have seen!
So glad I discovered your channel. Just love your projects. I'm going to do this!
This is an awesome project! Feels like going back to the heart of the channel. I'd love to see more creative wood projects like this!
Would like to try this myself someday. Probably with larger mouse pad area & stowable keyboard shelf
Lucifer you beat me too that idea.
mouse's pad, correct....
Great COW stand. My ONLY suggestion would be to fill the base screw holes with epoxy before connecting the second layer of plywood- if the screws ever work loose there would be NO way to fix the wobble. Love your stuff. Congrats on going F/T!
This is extremely nice. One of the best I’ve seen
Great work, man. I’ve enjoyed your projects over the last few years.
Thank you for creating this content. I enjoy your creativeness and ideas. Keep up the good work.
Great colours.
It’s really good.
