I just spent 2 days, successfully transfering all the pics, vids, contancts and apps, and logging in etc etc...wth my new phone..from the old phone...and then, used this to WIPE all the data and factory reset my old phone .........until i just realized...I I JUST RESET MY NEW PHONE AND ALL THE DATA I JUST PUT ON IT .................... I just wiped everything!!!!! I'm crying...

Whenever there is a major OS OTA firmware, I still like going into boot recovery and wipe the partition data a few times then perform a factory reset

I was getting this. In settings I had to search for Samsung account and log out. After that I managed to factory reset successfully.
The same problem but i icant login into my email beacuse it got deleted

I think i will do this because i am having alot of issues with my phone about the google account i deleted the original account that i added when i first bought my phone and even thought im sign in on my new account is giving me issues.
I did factory reset before i did the back up. Can i still do that?
how do u factory reset with the phone off? I'm trying to use the normal vol down, bixby and power buttons as i have a samsung 8 plus. whenever i do this i get a warning screen and it doesn't let me reset
Power button + vol up till u see the factory reset menu and navigate with vol keys and select with power button

How do get out of it though
I just bought a new Samsung Galaxy and transferred everything on it from my old phone. After that I installed the Sim card in the new phone, as well as my SD card. Now, before I do the factory setting thing here, should i First take out the Sim card and SD card? Because my phone number is on the Sim that I want to keep. And I don't want the info on the Sim erased as well. Any tips would help. Thanks in advance!! BTW...all my files, Data, contacts, everything is still on the old phone that I will use again.

How do you get all of the things that you backed up back on your phone?
I'm required to write my google account password and says it's incorrect password and i cannot reset, I don't know why
You forgot to say that the gmail account and samsung account have to be deleted also. if you are selling the phone, for example.

My screen is cracked but I can use it up until the delete all part but it won't recognize it when I pressed delete all. And i have to send my phone off to insurance do not want to send with all my personal information on it!

Even after cleaning memory all off & resetting it, the Galaxy Samsung S7 starts to go black after 3-5 min. Have to blow-dry to get it to come back up. Believe that tells me it is not software but a hardware issue. Thanks anyway.
