One of the things that I love about acapella is that covers of songs allows me to like songs that I've never liked before. Pentatonix has done that with a few of their arrangements. But Peter's version of this song is my favorite of this. He is the master of layering, and this song brings it. I just close my eyes and let the sound envelope me.

This song is such an interesting choice for them because it's got no beatboxing and Kevin is such a beast. However, it beautifully showcases their musicality and gets him the chance to sing some serious vocals.
I remember in their early days haters were saying PTX was a one trick pony. They'd just have Kevin and Avi do some crazy beats and then Scott would "Oaaahhahhooo" and that was their shtick. So I think it was SO amazing and important that they released this, showing that they can make INCREDIBLE stuff without their "Meat and Potatoes." PTX fan for lyfe right here haha 😊❤️

Sang this song in the choir of my university. I joined them in my third semester almost 8 years ago and on the first day we started working on this exact song with the exact same arrangement. I'm surprised how I'm still able to almost flawlessly sing along the bass part. Now I'm working 250 miles away from my home, which is also the area where I studied. Right now I'm planning to return home for a fresh new start and to take up choir again. Till then I'm content to sing along like right now :)
