    Can we measure the surface area after using this technique

      Hello, I tried doing it, but it is not a straight forward one. Please try it out if this meets your satisfaction. (1) install the plugin MorpholibJ (github.com/ijpb/MorphoLibJ/releases/tag/v1.6.0-FixMicrostructureAnalysis). This plugins require stack images to analyze. try to save multiple image of your 3d image eg 5-10 images and create this into a stack image. (2) use this stack image for further analysis. open this stack image using imagej, convert into 8 bit . now select the morpholibj plugin and select analyze, analyze regions 3d, and select all the options required such as the surface area. All the best. Let me know if this worked

    Well, I find the derived 3D image less informative than the original one: only continuous hills, wheareas the 2D image gives information about the objects' morphology, size and their subsctructure, which consists of some luminescent dots. If you can explain the advantages of the 3D plot in this specific case, I'll be grateful for learning something new, expecially about necessity of 3D for these objects. Thanks!

      Hello, thanks for watching my videos. I appreciate your insightful observation. You brought up some excellent points regarding if 3D image generated using ImageJ is merely a representation of the 2D image. It is true that some morphological aspects and substructures are highlighted in the 2D image, which can be important for understanding what is being displayed.
      I think with this 3D representation it may provide us with the ability to see the depth that increses the understanding of the spatial arrangement and interactions among structures. 3D rendering may offer insights into the morphology of complicated components by exposing internal features and layers (users can rotate the 3D images) that may be hidden in 2D. Let me know if this answers your question.

    Sir, how to create 3d surface plot of a bruised apple's grayscale image?

    • @nrttaye4033
      @nrttaye4033  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I think it is possible to do. I tried with an orange (mimicking bruise) with a grayscale 8 bit image. here are the steps: 1) threshold the fruit selecting only the bruise, 2) use the freehand selection tool and clear everything outside the fruit , 3) now the 3D plugin can be used. Let me know if this works. All the best.

    Can I find layer coating technique using this technique?

    • @nrttaye4033

      Hello, thanks for the question. For the ImageJ analysis a photographic image is required along with a scale for measurement. if the coating (decorative/functional/economic) can be photographed such a way that the coating has a contrasting color compared to the underlying surface material then ImageJ may be used. For coating thickness measurement a different technique (th-cam.com/video/h6S_oXbt9RI/w-d-xo.html) may be applicable using ImageJ. Hope you find this useful.

    how to add a calibration bar on a 3D image

    • @nrttaye4033
      @nrttaye4033  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello. Calibration bar can be added only in 8 bit images and may not work on RGB image types. After generating the image click on save plot. if the image is in gray scale, then pseudo color can be added using the lookup tables options. to add the calibration bar, click on analyze, tools and select calibration bar.
