- As you know I love to thrift while saving money and our environment as well as use some creativity. I've shown you my thrifted bedroom and craft room already, now you tour my main floor rooms and see all my thrifted items as decor. Come along with me for some fun.

I love your book choices . My dad is a retired English professor , so reading was a huge part of our childhood , my brothers and I . I read to my kids every day / night and now to my grandson ! I will be back .

I thrift and decorate with my fines. It is fun. Nothing too much matches , I just buy what I like. But it all looks clean and neat and cozy just like your home. I also have plants. It is fun bringing the outside inside. Your home is nice.

Put an inexpensive dimmer switch on your dining room chandelier then you have options for how bright. About the same cost as new bulbs. Enjoyed your home tour

Loved your video. Debbie Macomber book was one of my firsts years ago. I went on her Cruise back in May of 2015. Sweetest person. Her yarn shop has now closed as well as her little eateries and gift shop. I stayed at Cedar Cove in for a few days after the Cruise.
I read...I did crochet not knitting on the cruise.
I have knitted as well though. Gosh! Want to say more but I subscribed to you today.

My reading 📚 tastes are a bit different now.
I too make junk journals but I always make them as gifts to those the Lord puts on my heart.
I know....I could be selling them for over $100.00
I have been retired since 2013 June. At that time I sold my home in San Diego and moved North to where I have been almost 11 years now. Physically I don't do as much as you. I am disabled...struggling with Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis....other things as well. Makes life difficult!
I do what I can daily...

It is a beautiful place but I’m sure you miss him.
It’s Beautiful there I lived there a total of 12 years, 6 yrs as a Army brat and 6 years as a soldier ( nurse ) and a spouse of a career soldier. Nurnberg, Weisbaden, and Hanau are some places where I lived. My oldest daughter was born in Nurnberg in 1983. I last visited in 1992 but I’m returning for a visit this October. I hope you can visit your Son in Germany.

What is your decorating style? I am curious to know if you have collected items that caught your eye and love to display in your home. Self expression is a wonderful way to live. I myself every couple of months visit the salvation army stores, value village, and many thrift shops to support our community and also bringing home an item that brings back a life memory. There is no such thing as a thrift store house, like shabby chic, vintage style or whatever you choose decorate your home. There are magazines that are specifically dedicated to such styles. When you finally know yourself well then you will know your style .

Have you read the Sister Chick series by Robin Jones Gunn? It's about friendships of middle age to older women and how they help each other overcome. And there is fun travel in the mix too.

Your home is beautiful. Remember......people on social media usually only show picture perfect areas. Behind the camera it is an absolute mess.
True I do watch a few TH-camrs who show the clutter and areas needing cleaning but I know many don’t do that. I had started decluttering and rehoming so there was still stuff there to go. My adult son took the glider to workout. I had got it thrifting for about 6.50 so it was a deal.
You have a really nice home. Maybe a little too many things though.
I have, in the past, gotten rid of a lot of furniture and items but I end up missing my books and book shelves and some decor. I hear you but maybe I didn't show my space well since I actually do have a lot of open space. I do however have 1 large wooden book shelf and a small one. I enjoy having my books :)
LOVE THIS!!!...what state do u live in?...LOVE UR KITTY & PUPPERS!!!...Ive got to say...youve got some really nice shaped legs mama!!!...what id do for my legs to look like that...u must be a very active person!!!...also...i find it quite humorous that u leave those plastic tags on stuff...its very clear to us thrifters that ur a sister thrifter!!! lol.. 💖

I have gotten rid of items I regret also but not many. I usually enjoy decluttering and having less to clean but when the mood hits, I will thrift some new to me decor 😊

I think people are confused on house tours….this is a tour of your thrifted hauls….not a house tour!
Maybe I will give a full house tour at a later date. I have already done videos on my craft room and bedroom so there is only bathrooms and 2 bedrooms left.
