Thank you for sharing Megan. I noticed right away you are different from the average Mandarin teacher on TikTok. I have traveled some myself, going to Asia several times to a few different countries including China. I have spent the bulk of my life in Minnesota USA though and I am fascinated with the different ways of life in other countries. It was a bit of culture shock for me the first times I traveled. I’m 65 years old and retired now. I teach a little English on WeChat as a volunteer and enjoy making friends from all parts of the world. As someone who grew up in the U.K. with Chinese roots, I thought you spent time in Australia due to accent before you said 'U.K'. I would say your fluency is probably 9/10 as most people in U.K. will not even be able to use sentence structure and words like you - very natural but 'educated natural' 😉
