- Since wearing ONI Denim, I have been interested in Tanuki Jeans. Let´s check how good these jeans are.
This is not sponsored. All garments are bought with my own money.

Tanuki is an amazing brand. Great denim collection you have there. Ever growing
Thank you. I like trying different brands and learning how different or similar they are.
I know this video is about the jeans but I just ordered one of their modified type 2 double indigo jackets. I was aware of Tanuki but I was looking around for some PBJ modified type 2 jackets but stumbled upon the Tanuki and the measurements looked better for me. I was also unaware of all the drama surrounding Tanuki. But all I really want is a modified type 2 that is well constructed and fades. I see you're trying to do some thorough videos and I appreciate that, but sometimes the raw denim subreddit overthinks these things a bit.
😉
How do these compare to your Edwin EDS made in Japan? I feel like they are probably similar quality even though these cost more.
Well, the EDWIN is classic denim, which, for some people, is boring, and the Tanuki is a more modern approach (talking about fabric); both are excellent choices and depend on what you are looking for and your budget. The Tanuki is very nice, but If you are looking for a
Classic style of denim EDWIN all the way
Thank you for the vid. Can you name the exact model of this jeans ?
"NT 16.5OZ NATURAL INDIGO TAPERED ONE WASH". Belongs to the N line (natural indigo); this is the tapered version.
How much was it? Also what size did you get?
I think that Tanuki makes beautiful and high-quality denim, but is rather aimed at the mass market. He's kind of faceless, in my opinion.
It is true, but there is a phenomenon with this brand. It looks like the lack of information makes it difficult to typify where it belongs; this brand was born for the Western market, and even at the beginning, its presence on Instagram was like no other Japanese brand, which is not a big deal. Still, the lack of backstory is like having no spirit; it is ok for other brands, but for Japanese denim brand fans, it is like something is not right.
@@UrbanLadUK I agree with you
