I just want to say thank you, I did what you recommended by uninstalling the AMD audio and reboot. I did just that and now I can hear the sound on my Lenovo Laptop 👍🏿. Thank you again

@@SpiroYT You can go to support.lenovo.com/us/en and look up your model computer. Make sure to set the correct operating system when you go to the driver page. There on the driver page you should be able to download your audio driver.

Hiya, I know I'm very late to this party, but I just want to say THANK YOU very much for this video, it helped identify the problem and a fix for it.
Turns out, after we took our laptop in to have the battery removed (it was swelling), they must've forgot to reconnect the speaker wire and I've been using shoddy speakers for years without knowing a fix, so really, thank you :)
Thank you my sound came back on once i clicked on yes to turn on yes to audio enhancement. Great advice.

Thank you very much in my case it was a matter of drivers, I have an old monitor with integrated audio that is not even working , and the last time I updated all it installed the monitor drivers and screwed it all up I was not getting audio out of the 3.5 nor the integrated laptop speaker just from the USB headset so I uninstalled the devices and it's drivers restarted the PC and we are back to normal. very helpful

Hi, thanks for the excellent video it's very helpfull and complete (more than others that I saw). I finally solved the problem in a Lenovo Yoga 11e Thinkpad by upgrading the BIOS using de Lenovo Vantage app. Everything else didn't work. Hope this helps someone.

I have a Lenovo Z51-70 that is as slow as it gets. I was wondering how hard/difficult it would be to put in an SSD and more Dram/Ram? And the battery while I have it open. Also, how do you get it apart without driving my car over it? FYI I didn't finish typing because of a Windows 10 update on my desktop (didn't take my sound like on the laptop)...anyway, THANK YOU!!!!! You got the sound going on my little laptop.
You will need to get inside to upgrade the RAM and SSD. Although if you upgrade the RAM and SSD you will notice a big difference when it comes to speed. Here is a video on how to take you laptop a part:

@@EggheadFixers this video is very good but I don't see the computer battery coming out. Would have a video on that also? I just hope I order the correct stuff. I was told to let Crucial.com scan it and get what it says and it will work with it but I would love to know how to figure that out for other options. Also, how can I copy my hard drive to the new one so it is ready to go when I install it?
@@defan2105 You're welcome!! If you have an internal battery you will have to look up a disassembly video for your model computer
so you can get inside your computer. You can do this same method in the video you will just have to unplug the battery from the motherboard instead of taking it out.

My laptop is lenovo this sound is worse than my laptop when you turn on the video it is silent.

Hey... When i install and reinstall realtek audio driver it works .. but when i restart the system again there is no sound.. i downloaded the driver from manufactures site.. yet same problem occurs .. plz help
The next time it happens check that the Audio Service is running. Go to Start>Run and type "services.msc" (without quotes) then hit the 'Enter' key. The Services window will appear. Scroll down until you find "Windows Audio" towards the bottom of the list. Check that it is enabled, set to automatic, and running. If it isn't, double click on it and change the Startup type to Automatic, then click Start, Apply, and OK.
Reset the cmos battery fixed my lenovo e470 no sounds problem.

Hey, I was updating my drivers with Driver Booster since updating my drivers on device manager was just a lie, and I have my 4 output sound settings here. (Driver Booster is not a malware, I was doing some quick searchs and saw a windows report forum and it's not a malware)
1. NVIDIA Output - NVIDIA High Definition Audio
2. Headphones - AirPhone 3 Stereo (which I usually use when I play music, sounds etc.)
3. Internal AUX Jack (my camera mic for DroidCam)
4. And VoiceMeeter Aux Input (It's for an application called VoiceMod which I use for voiceovers and stuff).
Then I realize after I was done downloading and updating my drivers and rebooting my laptop, I can't see my Speaker Output option anymore, and I can't literally here a sound when I play my laptop speakers, how do I fix this problem? I'm watching the tutorial with no sound since I'm charging my headphones while I'm writing this comment. Hope I get a quick response.

It's like my Realtek Speaker output option got deleted and I can't get it and don't know how to get it back again.

@@DRice4ever In device manager is there an audio section and in the audio section does it still list the speakers? Is there any driver listed there at all? i have an issue where if i twist or move my jack it makes a weird sound and then the sound starts lowering by itself could i fix this by replacing the jack ?
The Front-Firing (top) speakers on my brand new X1 Carbon DO NOT WORK.
The only sound that comes out is from the 2 BELOW the Laptop, which are the Sub-Woofers.
There is NO SOUND from the Top 2 speakers near the Display screen above the Keyboard.
Why is this?
Lenovo is really, really slow in getting this resolved, and since I have just received it from them, they really don't want to fix the problem right away, and want go slow on getting the X1 sent back for replacement.
Very, very irritating. It makes me very hesitant to ever buy directly from Lenovo again.
Do you have ANY IDEA as to how I can fix this myself?
I am desperate here. Please help!
You can always replace the speakers yourself but if it's under warranty I would try to get them to do it. If they keep unsuccessfully repairing it then you can request what is called a depot repair which is when you send it in and it comes back repaired. People hesitate to use this option but it usually works better then them sending out a technician.
@@EggheadFixers Thanks. Lenovo has been painfully slow in responding to my Repair Request, and has been inept in dealing with the Phone Customer Servive end of things.
They told me to take it to a Best Buy to have it repaired, and I just laughed and told them NO WAY was I going to do this.
I do not trust Best Buy nor their 22 year old employees to do anything right.
I am forced to send it back to Lenovo for Repair.
I just wish that they would just send me a replacement unit instead, but they refused.
@@quasimodo5405 Ya they really should just send you a new unit. It's rather ridiculous not to send you one that actually works lol. I wouldn't trust Best Buy to fix my computer either. Most of the geek squad are under paid and not trained enough. You made the right call.

In my almost new Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IIL05 there is no sound devices in the device manager. Drivers update and Bios update don't help. Only way to get sound is via HDMI because it gets the sound from the graphic chip and not from the sound chip. This also means the headphone connecter won't work and using a bluetooth headset will also not work. Changing the speakes will not help with this problem.
Did you try installing the needed sound driver?

2 issues 1) half inch air bubble across the top of my screen 2) led lights have created a 4" light halo on the bottom left of my screen. How do I fix these issues
Sounds like you may need to replace the screen.
The issue I'm having is that when I connect my bluetooth earbuds I get sound coming out of the laptop. But when I disconnect the bluetooth I get no sound at all.
You may need to select in the settings your Bluetooth headphones as your speakers then change back over to your speakers when you are done using them. How to do this: If you are using Windows 10 at the bottom right there is a speaker icon . You can click on that. Once you have clicked on that a box will pop up there is an arrow at the top right of the box to expand the box...click on that. Once the box has expanded then you should be able to select your headphones as your speakers.
My lenovo laptop worked completely fine but suddenly the speakers of the laptop doesn’t work. I plugged my headphones in to check the problem but i cant hear anything from the earplugs as well. What should i do?
Have you tried reinstalling the driver?

Was your audio working before you installed a new driver? Or was this during the diagnostic?

That's strange. What happens when you plug earphones in? Can you hear any sound?

My speakers worked with external source an mp3 player but not with desktop.i switched output to the tv I was using as a monitor. Got sound but limited to tv speakers. So look...im guessing sound card. Seems about right to me.save me from buying a card if I've missed something..thanks

I would try checking your Windows logs. Windows logs every time it runs into an error and will give you the information you can google to see what caused the error. You can access these logs by doing this:
You can do this by Press ⊞ Win + R on the M-Files server computer.
In the Open text field, type in event viewer and click OK.
Expand the Windows Logs node.
Select the Application node.
Now from here look for the date and time you had the blue screen. It should have recorded an event at this date and time with a red icon or yellow one next to it showing a problem. You'll recognize it because it looks bad. Click on one of these events. Down below it will give you an event ID number. You can google this to pinpoint what is causing the problem.
