    It's always nice to see someone who knows how to fit the pump and rad the correct way round. I have been building custom water loop pc,s for around 17 years and have tested every orientation possible and having the tubes higher than the pump where they enter the radiator is a must. I run a i9 10900 and a rtx 3080 my temps are 25 idle and 38 to 45 full load.

    Another great vid Graham
    I fitted a H100 platinum (white) with LL120 fans to my build 2 years ago...it seemed fine but there was a recall by Corsair of 1 batch due to possible leaks and mine was in that batch number.
    To cut a long story short it took them over 3 weeks of constant to and fro messages (they usually take 3 to 4 days to respond to each message) before I finally got a replacement.....then the next day another arrived!....I got back in touch with Scan (their UK RMA agent where it was sent from) and they said as an apology from Corsair I could keep it......So good result in the end as I got a spare cooler :)
    Since then I have had 2 other RMA's to Corsair (LED's faulty in 5 LL120 fans and a PSU) and again they took 2 weeks or so to sort each out .....EVENTUALLY you do get a satisfactory conclusion with Corsair but they get you pulling your hair out in the interim.

      A lot of people often bash me for focusing too much on looks and RGB, but I'm like "uh yea that's why you buy stuff like this? If you don't care about looks and RGB, go buy a Liquid Freezer II, it's hideous but it destroys all."

    I relay think people overthink the AIO placement thing, the CPU puts out so little heat that I find it hard to believe it's going to make a meaningful difference on case temp. it's a AMD 3600 so 30-100W max heat output spread over the entire radiator, id be amazed if there was more than a few C change in front and behind the radiator.
    Now going from 2 fans to 4 fans will make a masive change in air flow and temps.

    Had one ... yeah, I said had one and reverted back to an air cooler. This Corsair cooler doesn't work well, due to it's 2-point mount (although the new 4-point mount for AM4 is available (but watch out as you easily overtighten this system)) and it's use of the watercoolant sensor to control the fans and pump. Resulting in a bad cooling. My CPU, Ryzen 5 3600X dropped 5 to 10 degrees with a simple Deepcool AS500 Plus vs this H100i Capellix cooler.

  • @TheVoidpure123
    @TheVoidpure123 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I also agree fully, the Arctic liquid freezer II is awful to look at but the performance/money -ratio is amazing nevertheless.
    Personally I've always used Corsair AIOs and will continue to do so, although if I'm aircooling then it's Noctua all the way. ^^
    Edit: Saw that you said that this AIO comes with Corsair Lighting Node CORE, it's actually named Corsair iCUE Commander CORE, which is based on the fuller version iCue Commander.

I wanted to get a AIO but the ones that I wanted were a few dollars more than had, so I went with an air cooler.. but the RGB o that stopped working too.. I think I'm doing something wrong cause all the RGB I get seems to die :( lol - I'll figure it out one day LOL

    Twist and pull!... Yes, I learnt that the hard way 😅. Although it wasn't very bad and I could bend the pins back with a credit card 🙈... It still works fine! 😄. And by the way, every day I'm more glad that I don't care one bit about aesthetics 😄. I go for bang for buck (with a minimum of quality, of course), checking performance, features, etc., but nothing else 😂.

    I was stuck between buying this and the Kraken Z73, but I went for the Kraken because I do not like the way the plate+pump combo looks. Its too blocky.

    • @Adamant_IT
      @Adamant_IT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, you can use just the long-screws and bolt everything together in one go. The other method is longscrews and fans on one side, then short screws to bolt to the case on the otherside. It depends on where and how you're mounting it for what works best.

  • @swinnburn

    Of course the cheaper alternative water cooling solution comes with a downer, sometimes they gunk up,and because you can't see the condition of the liquid inside the unit you don't know it's condition?!? What's so good with separate parts is that you can see the liquid, flushing is easier and then replacement of liquid just adds peace of mind😌🌈

    Adam can you possibly do a show on how to use AMD Ryzen master to it's full potential please, as it can be somewhat daunting! Cheers Clive

    • @Adamant_IT
      @Adamant_IT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I haven't really got to grips with it myself. It's useful for monitoring in situations like this, but I don't feel like it's very useful for trying to apply a 'daily' tune, as it has to run on startup and in the background. For Ryzen 5000, I've found that Curve Optimiser in the BIOS (look for AMD Overclocking section, and then PBO settings) has been the most help. An all-core negative offset of 10 or 20 lowers the voltage set across the boost curve, which lowers temperatures and lets the CPU naturally boost a bit harder. But even still, it's diminishing returns, and if you go too hard, you run into Clock Stretching, which is when the CPU is running faster, but not _working_ faster.

    • @Adamant_IT
      @Adamant_IT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, clean off the old paste. You don't need to use any fancy removal fluid. I use isoprophyl alcohol to make it easier, but just a wad of tissue will also do the job.

    • @Adamant_IT
      @Adamant_IT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      P400a has fan mounts dead-centre with the middle of the case, so the radiator will almost certainly hit VRM heatsinks.
      Your mileage may vary, but I've wasted hours trying to make a 240mm rad top-mount in one of these before, on a mobo with only modestly sized VRM heatsinks.
