What a rad shop. Was surprised to see other brands in there. The Black Powell Street Shirt was sweet...I had a pink one in the 80s. Thanks for the tour👊🏼
I shed a tear of joy when I visited the PP shop. I could have put an exact copy my first skateboard together there. Skull and sword with Indys and Bones wheels (not Rat Bones, wide ass Bones). It's good that the pioneers of skating are not forgotten, it truly was a golden era.
What a cool place to check out, especially if you were into skating back in the day! I had that Tony Hawk board and I remember the Bones Brigade stickers. Very cool experience and thanks for sharing! And Happy Belated Birthday!
Thanks Kevin! Yes,especially if you skated back in the day, but even my wife and teenage daughter thought it was cool and neither of them skate. I didn’t show it, but they had a small fridge of cold drinks and a stash of packaged snacks for visitors. My daughter was feeling a little hangry before we headed inside, so it was perfect 🤣 How thoughtful of them 👍 it’s awesome that you had a Tony Hawk board, it’s such an iconic design ❤️
Oh wow, I bet that would have been cool to visit. Seems like they had a monopoly on pads in the 80s and then just disappeared. I never learned what happened to them, probably didn’t have enough cash flow to make it through the 90s when vert died back in popularity 🤷
Its a little bit disappointing...should have more Ray Rodriguez, Alan Gelfand, Jay Smith and Tim Skruggs and Mike Mcgill and Scott Foss...without these pioneers PP would not exist as we know it. Big Ups George and Stacy ❤ from a pioneer too...Cheers from Lido Isle, Newport Beach, CA. 😊
Hey Happy Birthday Matt! No better way i can think of to spend a birthday than a trip with loved ones and a visit to the Powell Peralta shop!
Thanks! It was indeed a great birthday. 🥳
Very cool! ❤️🔥🕊️

Yeah, it’s cool that they have a legit shop with all sorts of brands. I was a little surprised to see such variety too ❤️

The grey (with neon Rat Bones) T-shirt is so rad ! Good choice 👍🏼

Good times for sure
Thanks for sharing. Definitely looks like it would be worth the trip.
Thanks! Totally worth it if you’re in the LA area!!!
Coolest skate brand ever. I’ll never forget watching Animal Chin while living in San Diego. I got to skate Del Mar a year before it closed.
Oh wow, so cool that you got to skate Del Mar 🙌🙌🙌

You catching any fish lately
I’m not sure what you mean here, but if you’re asking if I’ve literally caught any fish lately… I haven’t gone fishing in over 15 years 🤣
