I'm sorry, but I am somewhat confused about the resolution. If its 8K and is spread out over the entire 360 degrees, what is the true output resolution of this camera when transferring it on a NLE timeline? ?Thanks, love your videos
Thanks Ed! Great question! When you transfer it to the timeline, you transfer the entire 8k. But the real question is, what is the actual resolution when you are looking at the video? When looking at the video, you are not seeing the entire 8k. You are only seeing a crop of it. So the actual detail is similar to 1080p. It can be higher or lower depending on the field of view you choose which can be anywhere from 0 to 360.
is it 2 20mpix sensors ? if 4:3 ratio that is not enough for 8k equirect not considering how blurry the pixels may be near the stitch line due to optics resolving power on the borders
@@360vroomers nope, in a 4k*4k square the image circle of a fisheye lens is only 12mpix and 12mpix*2=24mpix so way under the required 32mpix, not to mention that borders of fisheyes are very blurry, look at pro 8k 360 cameras, none are 2 lens design there is a good reason for that
Excellent video and info Mic - I’m so excited about the spec but I’m disappointed about the non-removable battery - I would have been happier to have 6 removable batteries that last 20 min each than a non-removable.
Will the Qoocam 8K have any ability to save to an external USB drive? 8K at 30 fps can go through 256 GB pretty quick and being able to save to an external SSD would be nice.
@@360vroomers Looking forward to seeing your review of this and getting more info on the Pro version. I was considering getting an Insta360 One X but I'll probably hold off a little longer.
The 8K got me. How's the on board or app software? Do you have to use other programs to get the best out of it? The only down side is that there is no waterproof housing, only splash proof. Great review.
Thanks JA G! They havent shown the app, and only said it would be an updated version of the current kandao qoocam apps on mobile and desktop. Re waterproof, the dive case is totally waterproof.
once you upload the 8k equirect to youtube how do you play it back on a vr headset ? what are the minimum hardware requirements for playback ? is kandao providing an optimized playback app for android devices like insta360 provided insta360 moment app ? is there another android app because youtube app does not even propose 8k resolution in the list of vr available resolutions on my phone ?
Hi Amanieux. Kandao doesnt have an app like insta360 moment. It will see if it is possible to use insta360 software to convert it. Otherwise, it is also possible to use visbit but i dont know the cost.
Great video, thanks! I just need a 360 cam for my holidays in March. This seems the right, but are they also known to have good software? Tech it sounds great, but as important is to have the iPhone/iPad software as great as the Insta360. Do you think they will do a good job with the software? Thanks.
Thanks Fridu54! Qoocam's software is pretty good. My only complaint is that the Android app has trouble connecting to my camera sometimes. You can see their app interface here: th-cam.com/video/xzdo9V14kY4/w-d-xo.html
8k consumer 360 camera amazing 😀 thanks for the news 👍 I am also impressed by the slowmotion capability 4K 120fps and on the top that a weak point of the GoPro Max. I am surprised that you can use 8k 360 video on a smartphone because One x down resolution to 4K and not 5.7k, I’m waiting for futur testing on that point. Waiting for your test. Regards
Looks really good Mic and not a bad price for 8K. Very interested in the workflow, stitching and image quality. BTW is the photo size greater than the Xphase Pro?
Hi Joe! Xphase is more detailed than Qoocam 8k photo. But Qoocam 8k photo will probably stitch well, and with DNG8, it may have similar dynamic range as Xphase 6-shot HDR.
man, nice review. Can you provide a download link for 360 videos from the QC8k @ 8K and 4k@120? also, 360 vids from 5.6k@30 from gopro max? So that we could see the difference for ourselves. I've seen mixed reviews about these cams so I figured its best to compare it through a file not compressed by youtube.
360 RUMOURS question just ore ordered the GOPRO MAX and I returned the insta 360 one x and now this comes out....... my life style is I’m sort of rough on my camera like shooting with rain or snow so I’m assuming this new 360 camera in the video is not water proof or super durable?
Hi Wasabi Gang! I would say this camera is not very rugged. The screen could get damaged if you drop it on a rocky surface. It is also not waterproof (it can be splashproof). Watch my next video!

thank you for the lovely video! do you have any info on it's weight? the insta360 One X stands at 113g with battery which is really good, we'd expect this to be heavier but how much is really important for ease of use and long filming days
@@360vroomers I've looked around a bit further, another person who's gotten his mitts on them says it's 243 grams. A bit on the heavy side since it's mostly held on a stick, but nothing unmanageable
Hi Jayne! Kandao has great customer service! When the first Qoocam had a problem with the tripod mount on some units,, Kandao shipped a fix to all units.
Thanks for having me wait, this will definitely be beyond the MAX, now to see what Insta360 comes up with before I get my pre-order money in on this one
Hey there Michael! Yes it is quite large but not too hard to carry. It is like a smartphone. As for software, qoocam apps are decent. In the first qoocam they were missing some features at launch but they updated them regularly.
For consumer 360 cameras, the highest framerate right now is 120fps. Samsung Gear 360 could do it at 720p 120fps (1440 x 720), while qoocam does it at 4k 120fps (3840 x 1920). I don't know which consumer 360 camera can do 1080p 240fps.
@@360vroomers Pity, the 180 3d mode was the reason I got the original Qoocam. I think it's a fantansic mode in VR and I used it more than 360. Hopefully Vuze come out with an updated Vuze XR.
But now that this camera has been released, I hear so many actual customers dissatisfied with this camera. Some people cannot connect to wifi. Some say the fan is too noisy. I am really confused. I want to buy one, but really really scared. Can I get some advice please?
I haven't had any problems connecting with wifi. About the fan, you can hear it, but it is not super noisy. It is similar to the noise of one of those handheld fans. And when you record a video, the fan turns off.
Cool! I have a Insta360 One X. Sometimes I switch to 4K because I want 50fps but it's significantly less sharp than 5.7K. So the 8K is definitely a good feature!
@@360vroomers Thanks. Do you know youtuber CreatorUp? He had a video after yours and said something about a "Pro" version with GPS and other things. It was hard to understand him because he was talking very fast. You are in his video and waved at his camera.
Excelente material como siempre, muchas gracias. Excelentes caracteristicas, aunque se va a quedar un poco para vídeo de acción, aunque me gusta la transmisión en vivo. Se demorará la insta 360 x v2?
Thank you for this review! Looks like you had a bit of travel to do first. I would love an affordable 8K camera for VR museum tours coupled withg probably Oculus Go or Rift S headsets. I hope Kandao's workflow and editing software is reasonable. My questions have already been asked, but they are: does it have GPS? When do they expect to be able to deliver in quantity? Thanks again.
Thanks Steve and Liz! Yes i had to fly 12 hrs to Beijing. This would probably be great for museum tours. Unobtrusive yet also very high resolution. I am checking re GPS. They will ship in December.
Thanks for the great video Mic! There's one thing though that needs a bit clarifying, do you CAN or CAN'T record/live stream while camera is connected to an external power bank or power supply??? And how about live streaming, can you use your own RTMP server instead of TH-cam/Facebook etc.?
Hey there Juha! Yes you can record live stream 4k 360 while connected to a power supply. Yes I'm 95% sure you can use your own rtmp server although i haven't seen the app itself.
@@360vroomersHi Mic! Thanks for your reply. It looks like Qoocam 8K has only USB C, Mic in and MicroSD ports. That means you can't charge the camera or mobile phone while live streaming as you have to sacrifice USB C connector for the cable between phone and camera.
Thank you for this Mic! I'm wondering if the protective case blocks the vents for heat dissipation? If so, could that cause the the camera to overheat and shut down? I want to buy a 360 camera to record my daughter skiing without having to aim the camera. Also, does it have spatial audio or is it stereo like the One X? All I saw on their website is that you can attach an external mic to it. Thanks!
Hey HowieDub! I asked them that same question and they said the frame doesnt affect the internal temperature much. 😮 The built in mic is mono. But iirc you can use zoom h2n or similar to record spatial audio
Hi Firebrand. The new Qoocam 8K is only 2D 360. To have 3D 360 capability, you need a pair of lenses side by side for stereoscopic capture. It may be possible to use two Qoocam 8K units side by side for stereo capture.
Hey there Gareth! Yes if it provides real 8K quality then yeah it could be a gamechanger! I'm sure it can do a hyperlapse. The current qoocam does a decent job at it, with adjustable speed.
Hi Afeez. It seems easy to shoot with thanks to the touchscreen. The workflow seems similar to most 360 cameras. The difference is that it can transfer files to your phone via cable, like insta360 one x.
Is the camera heavy since it is almost double the size of the Gopro Max. I assume it is thinner. how many mic does it have? Too bad it is not water proof. Would you able to record any good audio using the dive case. Would you use it as an action cam?
Hi Alan! Yes it's heavier than i expected, partly because it has a metal frame. It is thinner than max but thicker than Theta Z1. If you use a dive case, the audio will be muffled. Yes I would use this as an action cam because of the protective lens and the 4K 120fps capability. But it is not rugged -- the screen could get damaged during a fall, for example. But that is true also for the MAX.
Hey there Adventure Biker! It will be shipping December! They said they are sending me a test unit next week so standby for a hands on review! Also check out the news about insta360's next camera! th-cam.com/video/hyQ9Il2lVzI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks DynamiteKorean! The aperture is not adjustable (fixed at f/2), but yes it will have manual ISO and shutter speed. The shutter speed can be as slow as 60 seconds., although I don't know yet the highest shutter speed. I am also checking the ISO range.
Thank$ Mic great review as always . This could be a late birthday present for me :) I will hang off until Qoocam8K is being sent out for delivery to see what photos & videos are like & if Insta 360 brings out a new camera with waterproofing without dive case & a few other features to top Qoocam8K
I know right? Really good value imho. They said they will send the review unit this month. Let me know if there are particular tests you'd like to see!

Hey there Flabig! good to see you buddy! Yes the mobile workflow should be easy. They can transfer files wirelessly or via cable. You can even do overcapture from 8K video, at full resolution on most phones!
@@360vroomers my impression of Kandaos Qoocam app and support is positive. I hope they will continue it on this successor and the workflow for 8K Videos is really as easy as you say. Right now it looks like a must have camera. I hope the reviews confirm that
Thanks Paulie! Yes the replaceable lenses are a separate accessory. You can attach them over the regular lenses. I don't know yet the cost of the replaceable lens.
Apologies if i missed it but will there be a “hero mode” or this what they call “vlogg” mode, if so is this the one lens on the same side as the screen or can it be the away facing lens?
360Rumors thank you for that info. Im sure lots of folk would appreciate that. Been mulling this product over and on paper it looks incredible especially in terms of features per £/$. Im seeing a lot if negative reactions to a fixed battery which I completely understand as you explained the reason. This will make me hang back too. I think they have what looks like a good product but this seems like it could be proof that they have specced it too high and the battery demand is so great that it wont really be an action camera and is edging toward prosumer levels where adding an external power bank or a mic isn’t an issue but for me im inclined to keep my one x and shoot photos in HDR and maybe look at the MAX as something i can put on my helmet for action sports, this thing looks huge. Which is fine if you are prepared to carry extra gear rather than be in the moment as you often say .
Hi anything yes it is available for preorder now. You can get a free invisible selfie stick with your preorder here: bit.ly/buyqoocam8k When you view an 8K 360 video on a regular TV, it will look something like 1080p to 2.7K, depending on how "zoomed in" it is.
Kandao Qoocam 8K at USD634 (although I think there's a pre-order price drop now at USD 599)? I think GoPro MAX is still sitting pretty. There's enough room for everybody at different price points. :)
Hey Mic, Great scoop as usual. looking forward to your full review. What is your thoughts on the the required SD cards? would UHS-II be mandatory to write at full reso and full bitrate? or will UHS-I still be sufficient?
Hey there Wayne! They said that to get the full resolution, you'll need a V30 rated micro SD card such as Sandisk Extreme Pro. They didn't say uhs-ii. They specifically said sandisk extreme pro will work, like this amzn.to/36OKHSw
Hey there Travis! They didn't say it has to be uhs-ii. All they told me is that it has to be v30 rated. And they said the Sandisk Extreme Pro will work.
Thanks Eysteinn! Yes that's true... and actually Z1 can also use Kandao Raw+ stacking (Kandao made the software free). I think Z1 will still be better, but the Qoocam 8K will come very close -- at least that's what I think. :)
This looks like the camera I've been waiting to upgrade from my olllld lg360cam to. The non removable battery combined with short lasting time even with the inbuilt one worries me but I'm glad they added the kind of things that power users want, external mic port, charging while filming and all that good stuff.
@@360vroomers I'm less likely to care about bulk than someone who wants a sleek pocketable one. The sheer performance seems to outweigh the functional flaws in the design.
Hi Archit. I saw parts of the workflow. On mobile, you can connect the camera to your phone via cable. They said you would be able to convert 8k video to overcapture on your phone. The desktop app they said would be similar to the current qoocam studio.
Hi J! I haven't seen the app. They don't have an extended selfie stick, but you can use the telesin with the Qoocam 8k. you'll have to be careful though because the qoocam 8k is heavy, so the extended selfie stick will bend a bit.
Tx for this video. I subscribed. I’m as exited as you are over this camera. Insta has a challenge! 7:33 It would be nice if you use turn and swivel look at your 360 photo (on top of swiping).
I probably should have preordered from amazon, it is all sold out :( I wonder if it will restock. Wanted to see review and new insta360 announcement first
It appears bulkier in the CEO's hand in your video than what appears in their announcement video ... is it bulky or heavy to be handled easily on any selfie stick and move around like in some activities as a rollercoaster for example ..???
hey there Maha! Yes it was bigger than I expected. It is a little narrower than a smartphone. It will still be ok to bring it when moving actively such as in a rollercoaster.
Woww.. Kendao is a very impressive 360 cam I have ever seen on this price range.. I just can forget about gopro max or insta 360 1X by just adding less than 100 bucks.. Even this size is slightly bigger than of two cameras but seriously I'm very confident to use for my professional work with this quality of images n video. Just adding to my wishlist for next year's budget.. Tqvm Bro for always making spectacular 360 cam review. Keep it up...n I'm always waiting for your next review of kendao qoocam... thanks again... :D :D
Thanks bro! Yes it really does seem like professional quality in a consumer size camera, and with a consumer price. I'll post the qoocam review as soon as I get it.
I used a combination of cameras: panasonic fz1000, gopro hero8, gopro max, and i think insta360 one x also. And of course broll footage from qoocam 8k from kandao.
I'd really like to know the resolution per lens....looks like a cool toy and all, but I'm not so sure about this being an honest 8k with just two sensors at this price point. If this is an honest 8k, 589 USD is a screaming bargain.
This will set a precedent. From now on, all future 360 consumer level action cameras will need to be 8K with high bit rate and large sensor to stay competitive. The one issue I have is the non removable battery. My own view is that they should have gone for the smaller removable battery size, to future proof the camera from obsolescence. Most people don't film for longer than 20 minutes and always carry spare batteries. I always plug into a battery pack for long shoots. Future cameras no doubt will seek to address this issue. It will be interesting to see how this effects sales of the Gopro Max. I expect this will impact Gopro significantly, even if people choose not to buy the Qoocam as yet.
GoPro will still sell a tonne of Maxs to the uninitiated on brand name alone. For someone looking specifically for the best bang for buck 360 camera this certainly has my attention.
@@360vroomers Any idea how fast it can be recharged? I'd like to use this diving, and I can't bring powerbank underwater, so i need to charge it quickly between dives. I see the selfie stick can hold a phone below the camera. Could a powerbank be kept there, out of view and plugged in while filming? I wonder if external mics could also extend downwards to be as out of view as possible.
Thank you for the reply. Qoocam looks more action camera and video oriented than the xphase. Seems like a good upgrade from insta 360 1X for a selfie stick size camera.
Thank you! Very informative. I'm still saving up for a 360 cam amd was torn between the GoPro Max and Insta360. The Qoocam 8k looks promising. Touch screen and mic jack are awesome additions. Viable vlogging and travel cam. Hoped it was more waterproof even just for a meter or so. Looking forward to your review especially using the onboard mic. Love the removable lens feature. Hope the workflow is easy.
Impressed, absolutely. I understand your comments on the price point, and they do have valor, but on the other hand you'll have to admit that over time we can expect improvement at the same price point (adjusted for inflation) as well. So honestly, it's the price point keeping me from pre ordering on the spot...really waiting, what insta360 will come up with. One thing that also keeps me wondering is, if the touch screens are really such a big advantage, as they largely add to the camera size. I mean, with the phone I already have a touchscreen, and one even bigger than any of them out on the market yet. Form and size of the OneX let's it keep it on me pretty much all the time, with cargo pants even in my trousers pocket, along with a very small "emergency " selfie stick. From my perspective I'm not willing to give that up for a display that (at best) just can to what my phone already does. Ah, and also I admit I have high hopes that I can use my dive case on the OneX successor as well. As you see, there are some points for me that Insta360 has the chance to make better/different than GoPro or Kandao...wait and see 😉
Thanks Cardellino! It takes a few seconds to connect the app to the phone every time. With the touchscreen, you can change the settings any time. As for the image quality, yes i think we should see more 8K cameras in the future if the qoocam sells well. Re insta360, i will have more news soon.
Non-Removable Battery is kind of a big issue. I don't understand what they mean by they couldn't find a removable battery. They put a batter in it -- so its removable. They need to develop a custom external battery pack that hugs the camera, asap.
There is not a lot of space, in the camera because it's already full of processors. It appears that the internal battery they have has a higher energy density.
Veeery promising ! The price is a little high ... but, if the 8K are “really” improving as it should be... it will be the top! Waiting with anticipation your review Nick!

is it 2 20mpix sensors ? if 4:3 ratio that is not enough for 8k equirect not considering how blurry the pixels may be near the stitch line due to optics resolving power on the borders
Hey there buddy. Each sensor can produce 4000 by 4000. If that is true then it enough for 8k.
Yes. That's my view too
Hey there Rich! I hear you. One possible workaround is to use one of those usb powerbanks shaped like a short handle, although it is a hassle.
Hey there [-_-;]! I hope they create a dedicated accessory that adds removable battery.
360Rumors yes that’s worth considering 👍🏼
360Rumors yes that’s worth considering 👍🏼
Will the Qoocam 8K have any ability to save to an external USB drive? 8K at 30 fps can go through 256 GB pretty quick and being able to save to an external SSD would be nice.
The pro version will be able to save to SSD. Not sure about the regular version...
@@360vroomers Looking forward to seeing your review of this and getting more info on the Pro version. I was considering getting an Insta360 One X but I'll probably hold off a little longer.
I don't usually get excited about tech specs, mostly because I am a bit of a tech-tard, but wow! This camera looks amazing! Great breakdown. 🤠👍
Thanks Tim! Yes i think it's very interesting news for anyone with any remote interest in imaging! 😁
Regards
Thanks captain! Re 8K editing on mobile, you'll be able to convert it to non360 video. But in 360 video, i believe the resolution is limited to 4k.
@@360vroomers Thanks Mic, Dying to see what Insta bring out next month.
40 minute record time looks like the main negative to me! Hope that increases for whoever comes out with a competitor!
man, nice review.
Ok sure! In the meantime, check out this updated comparison th-cam.com/video/DmYBKbL3WhU/w-d-xo.html
360Rumors looking forward to it thanks for replying
How much longer do I have to wait for the next generation of insta360 One X cameras? Should I just go ahead and buy the current offering?

‘in depth review’? This was just the ‘first impressions’! 😁
Conservator yes I know, but Mic is so good in his style and in his detailed report that it becomes quite like an “in depth review”’! 😉 🙂
Andrea Baggio I cannot argue with that!
thank you for the lovely video! do you have any info on it's weight? the insta360 One X stands at 113g with battery which is really good, we'd expect this to be heavier but how much is really important for ease of use and long filming days
Hi ediotism! I am checking with them but i estimate around 200g.
@@360vroomers I've looked around a bit further, another person who's gotten his mitts on them says it's 243 grams. A bit on the heavy side since it's mostly held on a stick, but nothing unmanageable
Great report Mic! How are their customer service? As far as if there was a problem with your camera and you had to get it fixed? Thank you
Hi Jayne! Kandao has great customer service! When the first Qoocam had a problem with the tripod mount on some units,, Kandao shipped a fix to all units.
Thanks for having me wait, this will definitely be beyond the MAX, now to see what Insta360 comes up with before I get my pre-order money in on this one
Hi Kacey! That's a very smart choice. And in fact, I will have news about insta360's next camera. Stay tuned!
@@360vroomers excellent, exciting news! Thank you
I would love the see the 4K output quality after color grading. Does it support LOG or HDR for video?
Hi Coder. It does not have hdr video. I will check re log mode. I will post samples.
Thanks I am concerned for the size and the quality of the software?
Hey there Michael! Yes it is quite large but not too hard to carry. It is like a smartphone. As for software, qoocam apps are decent. In the first qoocam they were missing some features at launch but they updated them regularly.
Is the amazing 120fps the highest framerate?
Or maybe 240fps at 1080p?
For consumer 360 cameras, the highest framerate right now is 120fps. Samsung Gear 360 could do it at 720p 120fps (1440 x 720), while qoocam does it at 4k 120fps (3840 x 1920). I don't know which consumer 360 camera can do 1080p 240fps.
Pity about no 3D. Do they have plans for 3d? Also does it have stereo/quad mics? Mono sound on the QooCam was a big downside for me.
I think they found that there was not as much demand for 3d 360 which is why the q8k is 2d 360.
Hey there Patrick! Yes the 8k would be a huge improvement! The 4k 120fps is also a huge upgrade from the one x 3k 100fps or 4k 50fps.
I'm looking forward to your full review. Does it have GPS?
Thanks Mike! I didnt hear any mention of GPS but i am checking with them and will update you
@@360vroomers Thanks. Do you know youtuber

Great Video Michael! Thank you.
One question: do you think the Kandao Qoocam can compare with the insta 360 pro 2 for video quality?
Based on what kandao's ceo said, yes the qoocam 8k may offer comparable quality. But we'll have to wait and see.
Excelente material como siempre, muchas gracias. Excelentes caracteristicas, aunque se va a quedar un poco para vídeo de acción, aunque me gusta la transmisión en vivo. Se demorará la insta 360 x v2?
Muchas gracias Sammy! I'm sure Insta360 is working on their next camera. I will have get more news about it next time.
Well, Kandao website says it supports charging while recording so that's excellent news!
Why is there no 3D 360 capability? @3:55
Hi Firebrand. The new Qoocam 8K is only 2D 360. To have 3D 360 capability, you need a pair of lenses side by side for stereoscopic capture. It may be possible to use two Qoocam 8K units side by side for stereo capture.
This camera literally looks like a huge game changing 360 camera! 😳👏🏻👏🏻 I wonder can it do a good hyperlapse?
Hey there Gareth! Yes if it provides real 8K quality then yeah it could be a gamechanger! I'm sure it can do a hyperlapse. The current qoocam does a decent job at it, with adjustable speed.
How is the work flow. I am more interested in the video capture and work flow
Was there a "Pinch & Zoom" function on the Qoocam screen as well? Could be cool, but I guess you can do it on your phone anyway once imported :)
Iirc yes the screen supports multitouch and can do pinch to zoom. Sadly i forgot to test it.
Great info....I'm interested! When will this be available in the US?

Apologies if i missed it but will there be a “hero mode” or this what they call “vlogg” mode, if so is this the one lens on the same side as the screen or can it be the away facing lens?
Hi Simon! This is a feature they said they are planning to add. But it is not available at launch.
Alright ! I'm gonna wait your full review to know more about the workflow using the Phone App. Thanks a lot for this video! Very informative! :D
Thanks buddy! I will post as soon as possible!

Currently, it is not compatible.
Game changer! The Gopro Max looks to be history already!
Hey there buddy! Yes it's so strange that it could be leapfrogged in just 2 weeks!
Gopro playing catch-up already lagging behind
It is amazing, intersting so quickly chqnging...just bravo, and hope such level up keep continue, but not forgeting their older cameras:)
GoPro max marketing is just to good to be called history in its sale. But product wise it's just miles behind qoocam .
At 10bit 8k 200mbps you can bet your ass its going to be UHS-ii lol going to be a bich to edit even with h.264
@@360vroomers I think in Hugh's video he mentioned video quality may be capped at 8bit for the uhs-i class cards. Hope you can confirm the facts :)
I'm very interested to know if it beats Z1 in image quality. Z1 still has the biggest sensor.

Did you get a chance to see the work flow?
Hi Archit. I saw parts of the workflow. On mobile, you can connect the camera to your phone via cable. They said you would be able to convert 8k video to overcapture on your phone. The desktop app they said would be similar to the current qoocam studio.

@@360vroomers tx! looking forward to your review!
That may indeed be the case. The true test will be how well this camera sells. If it sells well then yes you bet 8k will be the new standard! 😀
Won't the mic appear in the footage?
Yes but if you reframe it, then it should not be in the shot unless you reframe it really wide.
How do think the image quality at 8K stacks up against something like the Xphase Pro S?
Hi Simon!! Xphase is far more detailed. But this camera will have pretty good real 16bit raw+ mode.
Hi Simon! Good question! Xphase will have more detail, and at least equal dynamic range. i expect qoocam will have better stitching.

Excellent. Can't wait to see some 8K video footage out of this cam.
Thanks buddy! Me too, i'm looking forward to actual 360 video and photo samples.
Does this thing do horizon leveling?
It has stabilization for photos and videos. In their current app, there is no manual roll control, unlike max or insta360 for example.
Kandao just dropped the bomb! Can’t wait for the official review, I can see also see insta360 one x update around the corner!
Hey there Edmund! Yup it's a shock to the whole 360 industry! I will have info about insta's next cam in my next video - stay tuned!
@@360vroomers cool when's that going to happen ?
putting the Z1 on hold for a couple of months
When does the preorder ship?
Hi there scstudios8! They will start shipping in december.
Waiting with anticipation your review Nick!
thanks buddy! Yes if it performs as promised, then it's actually a very good price!
