This is such a smooth ride. I was able to enjoy this more than the other giant coasters at Six Flags. It's a high thrill, but so nice and smooth. No jerks and whiplash. It's one of the best!

this is my all time favorite roller coaster. its longer than any other coaster i've ever been on and its great you can put your arms up the whole time and scream. except the first drop looks like your going straight down.

THIS IS MY ALLTIME FAVORITE COASTER. This is the kind of coaster that if they ever shut it down I will CRY!!!!! I even find this better than the kingda ka and el toro. NITRO FOREVERRR!!!!!!!!! =)))

I love this ride, even though last time I went on it I passed out after we hit the helix and didn't recover until we pulled into the station, but it was still awesome!

I was tricked to go on this! I was told that I was going to go on Batman, but walked right into the entrance of Nitro (We were at Great Adventure)! It was my first huge roller coaster, and I was deathly afraid of the height while waiting in line. The first drop was terrible, and I didn't get to enjoy the rest of my experience as I shut my eyes due to anxiety from the first drop! Now that I look back, it was VERY fun! A great coaster to get on!!

But Then That Was Taken Down After 2 Years :(

hey there, this is a great video! nitro is amazing. me and my friend went to SFGA one day when the weather report called for lightning, and there was a maximum of 100 cars in the parking lot. we rode nitro 23 times in a row! yeah, this is great. thanks for the post. =]

I recommend going on Nitro. Not many people go on this ride because it is toward the back of the park and everyone is concerned with Kingda Ka, El Toro, and the Water Rides. This is an excellent ride from experiencec and i suggest that people go out and ride this.

Nitro isn't crazy...It's one of the most fun coasters in Sixflags. I say if you go on Kingda Ka and make it, you won't ever be afraid of a ride. I went on Kingda ka 12 times in a row because my uncle used to work in Jackson's Sixflags. (I would of went more but I didn't feel to good and ended up throwing up :()

It depends on what kind of roller coaster you like. Kingda Ka is a stratacoaster, Nitro is a mega coaster.

The ride itself is pretty smooth but when I first went on it this past summer, I went on it after Kingda Ka and this drop still felt insane.
The climb up is so long and the whole time you're trying to prepare yourself for that first drop but that drop went extremely steep and caught me by surprise.
Sit in the back like I did, it's a much better experience.

six flags great adventure.i went on this in 2001 when it first opened. its only a lap bar and the drop is like 250 ft.

in my personal opinion, i think this is one of the best rides @ 6flags. maybe best. i havnt bn on kingda ka, but i think it might go by so quickly that u wudnt get to enjoy it as much as say...nitro or el toro. idk tho.

six flags was great, thanks for asking :] and we actually went on Kingda ka at night, there was only a 10minute wait, so that was awesome. but sadly, we didn't have time to go on Nitro :/ oh well, Ill just watch the video again :D

Yeah, 2 years on and they still don't have the train launching down to a T. I had to wait about an hour to ride Ka. But the other two times we got right on in under 30 mins. It's an amazing ride, just needs to be about 2 minutes longer. But hey, it's a prototype. How many coasters go 400 feet in the air from the ground? 3 if I'm counting right.

How??? Well No Lie...I Have Been Taping For Well Over 25 Years & As The Years Went On The Camera's Were Getting Smaller & Easier To Handle.
Though The Main Key To Keep ANY Camera Still Is NOT To Extend Your Arm's Out...I ALWAYS See People Holding Their Camera's Waaaaay Out In Front...Especially On Kingda Ka....Once You Are Launched & Your Body Is Pushed Back....That Spells Bye Bye Camera. LOL

Only bad thing is the way up. It takes too long. They should fix it so the ride up is like the way up on El Toro, fast and smooth.
