Wow, well done, that's inspiring. Living in Canada, I bought a 2000 4x4 v8 Tundra this summer. Fixed all small mechanical issues, including preventive Timing belt and Lower Ball Joints change. Frame in really good shape, will remove little surface rust and repaint it. Rust here and there but fixable. Interior in real good shape. 330000km (205k miles), this truck is a true survivor for our salty area. Clearcoat is pealing, paint and finish needs to be redone completely. I want to wrap it instead of repainting it. Your wraping videos truly inspires me. Thank you for sharing this.
How well did the green vinyl stick to the textured black vinyl over time? Love the look but would worry about that starting to peel off eventually. Thanks!
Hi Edward: first time seeing your video. I plan on doing something similar and was wondering how did the vinyl on vinyl hold up? Did you get separation? Thanks!
Yo Ed, been watching your videos for a while, they keep getting better and better. I am an aircraft mechanic myself, and the quality of your tutorials and video editing/music are by far the best i've seen on youtube in terms of overlanding. I would say that up there with tacomabeast and LLOD if not better. keep doing great vids!
Perhaps you address it in your other videos but I haven’t seen it yet. Have you thought about adding the NSV light bar and doing an instal video? Curious on your thoughts.
i'm curious how the wrap has held up to trail damage. i imagine the in the tundra being wider you're more likely to get pin striping --just curious how the wrap is doing vs a standard paint job with trail damage and showing scuffs/damage
I so want to do this... I have a 2000 NISSAN Frontier with 509,389 miles and looks like new, BUT I want to get it WRAPED in either Desert TAN, or the light OD Green ! I live in NV and travel to WA, so Tan or Green???
nice work dude! you nailed it. been watching your videos now for a while. you've been a huge inspiration to me, so much so i bought a tacoma (always wanted one) and started an overland project to get me, my wife and son out into the backcountry. Thank you!
Nice job Shinn, truck looks real good like this version of the truck wrap. Seemed a lot easier then the first wrap you did. I just planed and booked some time down the shore yesterday camping on the beech with the wild horses 🐴
Hello my friend hope you are well. So sorry we haven't been able to visit you for a while we have been busy moving house etc. But great to catch up with you. That is one monster beast of a truck bro. Very cool indeed. Thanks so much for sharing your video with us. Stay safe and catch up again real soon.
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for several months now. I love your videos. Great stuff brother. I really really like the green wrap. How durable is it to all the elements of weather and the day to day driving elements (dust, sand, rock pebbles from the highways)? I’m in northern Utah so I’d assume similar weather climate. Also, how do you like your ditch lights? I’d like to get a pair for my Tundy.
Looking good Edward....impressive how you did that...just saw your camping by the road video too...to much snow in the mountains sill I noticed that too...when does it melt typically? Hows your daughter doing these days....do you run to the mountains when she poops in her diapers....jkg
@@KrokemOutdoors lol. But seriously, one thing I would totally do to my truck down the road, I would paint it in Raptor paint. Looks badass and is very durable.

Nice job! I'm looking forward to be doing my hood and roof on my 2005 toyota tundra. I've seen your other video too. Thank you!!
I really like that contrast in colors and textures. Really great job, Edward!!
Thanks Craig! We'll see how it holds up over time. This one is supposed to be able to self heal, so I'll be testing that out as well soon.
Your truck looked even better in person at the Rigs-Coffee meet up. I’ll stick to raptor lining my Ram 3500. Very good editing on your video. Cheers!
Can’t go wrong with raptor lining 👍. See you on the next rigs and coffee !

Wow! Looks fantastic man! Y'all did an awesome job! Great inspiration for my future project!
Would recommend! 🤙

Very nice work, indeed..! Can anyone tell me how well these products hold up in Las Vegas desert sun..??
Good question!
@@KrokemOutdoors It may be TOO GOOD, as no one has bothered or has the experience to answer.. boob toobers, ya don't have to luv 'em.. LOL!
Brah i also need to wrap mines up but Man U made it look easy by urself wanna wrap mines before she start going out on real adventures
Definitely try a small area to get a feel for it first 👍

Yeah for sure
Jack of all trades! #loveyou
Thanks Babe😘
Awesome. Looks Good Brah!🤙🏽🤙🏽
Is that wrap a ruff sandpaper finish or smooth Will it collect dust 👍✌️🇨🇦
Yessss! Here's that next at-bat I was talking about bro 🤙✌️-Josh
Yup! 🤙👊
@@KrokemOutdoors nailed it!
Looks great! I've been wanting to wrap my hood but I have zero wrapping experience. I may give it shot soon though.
Definitely would recommend getting a small sample size to test and play with the material first. Takes some patience but is worth the effort 👍
Awesome install thanks for sharing...
Nice work, awesome Tundra.
looking good man!
Thanks Sean!
Looks great, bro!
Thanks Bryce!👊 Let's plan a trip sometime soon brother

Great job. Looks professional. Very impressive
Thank you very much!

That looks fantastic ...Thank you for the tips Edward
You bet my friend👍
it looks great. And the most important with taste!
Thank you!
Dude the wrap looks sharp. Excellent
Thanks Mason!
Wow! It looks awesome! Nicely done!!!!! 👍👍
Thanks!🤙
Hey quick question what are the hood dimensions? I need to wrap a Tundra hood
Relaxing and meditative! 👍🏻
yes Sir!🤙
Looks good!
Thanks Ken!
Another informative episode Edward. I feel as if I could do this myself now. All the best brother.
Looks great
Thanks Jason!
Looks great man!
This looks amazing, great job. I am gonna have to try this on my rig!
Right on!🤙
great job
Thanks Tom!

Nice job
Thanks Doug!
You could go into business doing this!! Great job
Maybe after a lot more practice 😁
wow that looks really good dude.
man you’re getting really good at this. makes me wanna wrap my jeep too :D
I think you can do it, man. Just a little bit of patience, but it's worth it if you have the time (in my opinion).
Kinda feel like you were a Marine. Only a jarhead would sport a high and tight and olive drab green. 3/3 L Wpns Plt
I love the color and hairstyle ;)🍻
Another great video! I want to get a black hood stamp for my rig.
Thanks, just the center part isn't that bad if you wanted to try it as a DIY
Cool video Edward. Makes me feel I can do something like that myself!!
With patience and research, you definitely can👍
Question in cleaning the vinyl is it the same as cleaning your paint job or is the process different
Nice job! I always like learning a new skill also. I might give wrapping a try, you made it look easy.
Thanks Aaron, definitely doable with some patience and time. If you do, try a small area first to get a feel for it. Good luck!
Always a hit 🔥🇺🇸
Thanks bro, and I appreciate the shout outs 🍻
Nice👊 wish I had a portion of your patience. Awesome 👌
I think you have plenty ;). Thanks Gus✌️
As tedious as it looks the end result is amazing!
Thanks Tim, I feel it's definitely worth it overall. (Although I may not be thinking it during the process, lol)

Hmmm... I'd say whichever location you are in more during the year is the color you may want to go with. But either way, both colors are awesome
I don't know a lot about the wrap. Would a heat gun have helped loosen it up for you to take it off?
I tried using it, but found the vinyl ended up tearing more easily
Nicely done man! That textured vinyl looks awesome. You have far more patience than I do haha.
haha thanks Sam. I just don't drink coffee that day and zone out. I think it helps, lol

do you need to register a new color code with the government agency since the wrap color is different from the manufacturer
Since it's not the actual paint, i'm not aware of having to.
Appreciate the shoutout my man! Glad you like the rugged stuff as much as I do!
definitely will have to look into this route when I do the whole truck👍
I was to do something with my hood bulge and grill surround, what do you recommend? Plasti Dip spray, vinyl wrap, or spray on bed liner?

Perfect time to appreciate a non-scooped hood :D
Hahah so true. A hood scoop would've killed me in this process
@@KrokemOutdoors looks awesome!
Get rid of the toyota emblem grill for one that says toyota. Its literally the last thing that will make your truck perrrrrfect.

I'll give you a discount and do it for 3k😜

Where did you buy your wrap?
Metrostyle
Now come do mine, my truck paint is flawless except for the hood, the clear is pealing
Normally it would cost a couple of grand, so I'll do it for just one😛
