I like the voice over. You are doing a great job. I love that you look at this as a last gift you can give your mom. That is so loving and sweet. Hope you have a great week.
I have done de cluttering professionally, helped many people including extreme hoarders, i wanted to say that you have a natural instinct for sorting and are doing really well. all of your thoughts on why you are not getting in help are very valid and I would think exactly the same. this is no small task, you have the emotional side to deal with as well as the physical, it can be so overwhelming. you have done such a great job so far and when you get to the end of it you will feel so empowered and free. I love that you are treating your mothers house full of stuff with respect, she would have wanted you to benefit as much as possible from it. If i was nearby i would love to help you (for free) but i am on the other side of the world. looking forward to your next video, keep going at the pace that suits you and look after yourself well.
this process has been really eye opening for me. I have watched you from the beginning. This is something most of us will have to go thru in some way. It has also been an eye opener for me, thinking how family would have to do the same for my home. I’m working with my mum to clear her stuff while she is still able and willing, am now working on my own home to do the same. Kind of doing my own Swedish death cleaning thing. You are doing so great. We are all cheering you on. Keep the voice over, it’s more personal and that is what is great about you. You are real. ❤❤❤
Voice over is great. Glad you did a recap on what is going on. I’ve watched every video and I didn’t know what state you are in and how far to drive to your moms. I somehow had missed that. You are doing a great job. I’m a cat lover too. Can’t believe your cat is almost 20 years old!
The reason why I prefer the voice over is that sometimes I fall asleep and the music wakes me up. I always go back and finish tho bits so awesome to see all your progress. You’re doing a great job!!!
I LOVE the voice over!! ❤ Talking about anything is awesome! Especially your thoughts ❤ After explaining why you don’t want the estate sale people to do it makes TOTAL sense ❤
I like the voiceovers!!😃 I like how you did this video-explaining the reasons you are doing everything-telling us what you are going thru as you sort would be great, but so would random chit chat!! My jaw dropped when you said your cat is 20 years old!!😁 Truly enjoy your videos, Mindy!!
It does NOT look like a mess, take it from me- a semi hoarder. It’s a game of TERTRIS! You have to mess things up to clean things up. You are doing great. I’m sending you strength from my spirit. I’ve been where you are now. One thing positive I’ll say about your mom, she was a very neat hoarder. God bless her soul 🙏
Hi Mindy - I've been watching since about the beginning of journey but don't comment often. I applaud you for wanting to honor your mother's memory by going through things. It's a beautiful gift you can give her. You're inspiring me to clean up my craft supply now and not make someone else go through it, using hours of their time for something I can do now. It's not easy for a crafter to let go of things. We see possibilities, potential and dreams in such items. Looks like your mom had that vision too. Thanks for sharing your journey!
If you haven’t done your next sale yet, might I suggest moving some of the pictures up onto the couch if there’s room? They are usually displayed at eye level so being so low might be difficult for people to visualize in their home. I’m amazed at how much you get done in a day. You’re like the energizer bunny. Thanks for sharing with us.
I was thinking the same thing and wondering where would be the best place to be able to spread them out a bit. There looks like some nice sets of pics/decor in the stack that I would think will sell well if they're able to be seen.
I have watched your videos from the very beginning. It is hard doing this all by yourself. You have come a long way from at first being overwhelmed to now moving right along. Thank you for sharing your journey.
I appreciated the voiceover - I think that’s a good approach. I wonder if the local schools would appreciate a donation of some of the office supplies that don’t sell at your sale. So many teachers need to pay for supplies out of their own pockets. It might be a nice windfall for them to receive those unused binders and such. Just a thought that occurred to me while watching. You’re doing a great job plowing ahead with this very daunting task! Keep up the good work!🙂✨✨✨
OMG! What wonderful results you’ve achieved with the office - amazing change! Take yourself out for a meal and/or relaxation - you deserve every moment of that! Love seeing your smile and hearing more liveliness in your voice. You’re really making a lot of progress. You don’t seem as exhausted . . . You are healing, step by step, and it makes my heart happy to see you reach this point. You’ve met and beat the challenge of “overwhelm.” SO proud of you!
You did a great job sorting out the office! You can really see the progress when you deal with one room at a time. Wishing you well with this endeavor.
The office looks so much better - great progress. I like both voice over and music with the speed cleaning sequences. It is good that you can see yourself through this process now. You have a more definite plan and process. You are a great daughter.
Hey there, you are doing great! I have 4 cats and a stray that gets in my garage which I take care of also. 2 dogs and 4 parrots 😂 You do your filming in the way that’s easiest for you. You are helping me get ready mentally when I will have to do this. So Thankyou!❤️
What’s your secret to having your cats live that long? Our oldest was 16. I’d love to get them to live to 20. I love the voiceover! Oh my goodness! That office area looks amazing now! You do great work!
You’re making great progress! I like a mix of voice over and music, like you did in this video. It would be interesting to see a comparison of income vs expenses for the work you’ve been doing to clear out your Mom’s house. Money you’ve spent on plumber, repairs on the truck, gas driving back & forth, etc vs income from the sales and selling your Dad’s beloved van. It’s great to see you smiling and excited when you accomplished what you planned - major progress in the office/quilting storage. Congrats!
I was thinking about all the quilting material - often crafters leave lots of supplies and it´s easy to think of it as wasteful. But the fact is that acquiring those things is an enjoyable act in itself and it looks like your mother loved that; getting her collection of quilting material and be around it, even the anticipation of what she thought she would do with it one day. It is nice to remember that and not just all of the unfinished or non existing projects.
I agree! I am a papercrafter and I finally realized about 5 years ago that I could craft daily and never run out of paper. I haven't bought anything since and I've not even made a dent in the stash. But I miss the days of "collecting" all the pretty patterns. It is a hobby unto itself!
It seems like the job of going through all the things that were your mother's is a good way to get through the grief and emotions and allow closure in the process. It must be hard to do alone, but sometimes when there are other family members involved it gets complicated. Good luck with your process and be kind to yourself. ❤️
Awesome accomplishment this trip. Sounds like you have a plan in your mind. I do like the voiceover, it was nice to get to know you better and your thinking process. Keep up the great work ❤All the fabric is a quilters dream.
Mindy, you are an amazing worker - got SO much done in just a couple of hours! Things are really falling into place at this point - and you have space to separate “classes” of items to sell, which makes it easier for you and for people to see and buy! Kudos to you! I like the voice-overs because, as many have already commented, you’re very good about describing your process and goals. These videos will be invaluable to others in the future who face similar situations in their own families. So your work will not only be a gift and thanksgiving to your Mom’s memory, but also a benefit to others.
You are improving with your videos and making great progress on the house. It has to be so rewarding for you to see the difference you alone are making on this journey!
Mindy you are doing a great job! Your videos are getting better and it's great seeing your personality coming out more now. This is going to be my reality also. My mom is 86, soon to be 87. She was always a lover of junk but after my sister was killed in a motorcycle accident 10 years ago my mom became a full blown hoarder! We can't even suggest getting rid of anything, she gets irate. I have 2 other sisters who admittedly can't deal with all the "JUNK"! It would all go to a dumpster if they have to deal with it. I have the patience and enjoy sorting through stuff so it will be my job to clear a 2 story house with a basement as well as a garage with an apartment above. She has stuff everywhere. She's organized and her house is clean, there's just SO MUCH! One thing i cherish from my dad is a message saved on my answering machine, just so i can hear his voice again. Maybe you saved something like that too... I have a cat that is also 20. She was never a people person but in her old age has become quite friendly. I enjoy watching you as you work on the areas as well as the chatting. I know it's hard to talk alot so the music fills in nicely. Keep up the good work!
You're doing great Mindy. I love cats too. When you get to the quilt and craft sale, be sure to look online and see some of the prices of fabric, rulers etc. Quilting is a big deal right now and fabric can be expensive. Any quilter will be thrilled to get it for a reduced price. best of luck to you, take care.
I like the voice over. I know it’s a tough job. I’m also an only child and I had to deal with my father’s belongings. You’re doing great take as much time as you need. God bless 💜👍
I definitely prefer voiceovers! I like to know your thought process as you're going through things and like with this room I'm curious what you are planning on doing with the fabric specifically.
I will be selling the fabric at a quilting sale I will be having in the future. I'd like to get all of the household stuff out of the house first, I need all the room I can get to spread out all of the fabric and quilting supplies for the sale.
I like the voice over! You can chit chat or talk about what you're doing, or both! I would want to clean it out myself as well. I have a hard time trusting people already, let alone leave them alone with stuff that could be precious to me and then give them 40% of the profits. No way! Thanks for sharing this journey with us! Its very interesting getting to know you, and your mom through you going through her stuff. You did a really nice job so far on her house!
I like coco's voice over 😸. And I'm glad to hear that Mr cat also has a home. You did really well moving all that stuff. You won't be needing a gym with all that lifting 😊
amazing progress in the office! you can really see the end in sight now. I know you still have many hours to go but the sorting process has been really valuable and you can see your happiness peeking through.
I think you've got a good mix of voice and music. So glad you are making headway. It must be a real weight off your shoulders releasing all this stuff. I bet your mum would have been relieved too. When your surrounded by so many "treasures" it's really hard to part with even one. It gets easier as you get more practice but it's still hard. My goal is to spare my children your experience. so far so good as I have reduced my stuff by nearly half including a lot of craft stuff. My kids are proud of me and can see I'm really trying to do it. Thank you for honouring your mum's stuff and not just going full on throwing it out
All that crafting and quilting stuff will make someone so happy. Gosh it sure makes you think about all the money we spend on stuff!! I think if your mom's home was dirty and hazardous it would be time to call them professionals and junk removers, but her stuff is clean and in containers. It's just cluttered. I wouldn't be able to do all this work. lol
So deeply sorry for your loss, and it is a lot of work. You will discover more about your mom than you thought you would. It will bring you some kind of comfort once it's all done.
Hi mindy, im not a only child and do have out of state family, but i havent seen anybody in yrs. Lost my dad 2016 massive brain dead stroke, dec 20. Mom had colon cancer at this time. Lost her jan 2 following year 2018. I was only person the house was left to. I too had to clean out everything and sell the house. My gosh, they came out of the woodworks wanting this and that. I can relate to your whole story. Happy Easter and hang in there.❤😢
Hi Mindy, i'm following your channel since the very beginning and i cannot say more than i'm so very proud of you and you can be so very proud of yourself!!! I lost my mom last week and now i can feel how you felt going through her stuff and feel all those feelings coming up when you see an item that remembers you of her! You are so strong and did the cleanout step by step and you're making so much progress! It's really really impressive! 🎉🎉🎉! You're so inspiering to me to go on and on and never give up! ❤ The mix of voiceover and music is great, please do so for your next videos! I'm looking forward to your next videos! Thank you for all you do! Lovely greetings from Germany! Petra
Thanks so much Petra! I am so sorry to hear about losing your mom, it is a tough situation to deal with. I send my condolences and big hugs to you. Please stay in good spirits and never give up! It will get better. 🙏🏻❤️
Great to see you power through the office stuff. I hope you are feeling better about tackling the clean-out now that you have been working at it long enough to see some real progress and figure out your next steps in the process. You have come a long way already! I like the voiceover or music, but it is interesting to hear your thoughts on what you are sorting and how you will deal with it. And I enjoy seeing you greet Cat when you get to the house - he's a beautiful feline and he knows all the best stops for his next meal! 😄😸❤
You made some significant progress! Good for you! You are smart keeping the paper shredder because when you go through your mom's papers you will probably need to shred some stuff. If possible, I would park the vehicles outside of the garage while you are working in the garage to give you more space to spread out and go through boxes. If you find donations put them in the pickup and take another load to Goodwill/thrift store. You might be able to post a flyer in the library for the quilting sale or at some grocery stores on their community bulletin boards. I like the voice over with you talking about various topics and some music here and there in between talking. But whatever is easier for you is fine since you are busy with the clean out.
Just curious, did your Mom ever make any quilts ? There are lots of supplies but I haven't seen any completed products. I understand how difficult it is to go thru your parents things, It feels intrusive and sentimental all at the same time. You are doing a great job a bit at a time. Honoring her cherished collections while selling what you can is a walk down Memory Lane and makes it feel like she is still with you in spirit. Voice overs are definitely better than music. Happy to be walking this path with you and I hope you take comfort in so many of us supporting you thru this journey.
No she never made any quilts. She did make a lot of crafty things earlier in her life. She sewed a lot and even sold things she made at local craft shows. She only got into quilting maybe the last 5-10 years of her life, but never actually created any, she just kept buying fabric and supplies. I think her greater joy was in shopping and buying.
Maybe you can get a quilter to make you a quilt from some of her fabrics or old clothes. A Memory quilt would be a nice keepsake of her cherished collection. You could barter, fabric for a quilt. I started sewing again during the pandemic lockdown. Making and giving away masks to family, friends and the hospital staff where my sister worked has now morphed into “what am I going to do with all this fabric?” So I started making baby quilts for the new babies in the family. I understand the desire to collect fabric, it can become an obsession very quickly.
That is a lot of hard work for you so good you break it down & go back home for a break. Makes sense to try to do everything you can yourself for now so you can keep your own treasures & put the money in your pocket. I like the voiceover update while you are working & adding music is fine too. Your doing great!!!
Go at your own pace. Both my parents has passed. I am the youngest of five but I felt like the only child bacause did a lot for my parents and had to fight with my siblings to help out and it was a mess. Years have passed and bloodlines mean nothing and I know God is my strength. Keep on pushing🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Great progress. Will be a big difference when you find a new home for the quilting stuff. Your kitty might just be louder than one of mine which I thought was not possible ❤
Ι really like the voiceovers, I love getting to know about your thought process as you declutter and also get to know you a bit better! Either way I love your videos and your vibe, we have a lot of similarities in terms of family, I'm an only child too, no children of my own and dealing with stuff too.. so the videos really speak to me. I'm always looking forward to watching them! Also purple is a great colour on you, not so relevant 🙃but had to mention it!
You are making great progress! Remember, Dana K. White from a Slob Comes Clean always says, "Better is good!" I like the combo of voiceover and music for the time lapse. Don't you wish things went as quickly as they do in time lapse when you're working on these types of projects? I'm not a hoarder, but as an older empty-nester, stories like yours keep me motivated to make sure I go through what we have annually and pare down so we do not get to a point where helping us if/when we leave the house we raised our family in or cleaning out after we are gone will be a burden to our adult children and their families.
I like the combo of talk and music! Excellent work, love the strategy of grouping like with like! Very motivational and making great headway! Mom and dad are proud of you, daughter!
The voiceover and just the asmr of your timelapsed cleaning is nice. I was thinking it might be cool to set up a couple tables in the livingroom/kitchen with the quilting fabric, smaller pieces (a couple yards) $1 and larger pieces $5. Take photos for marketplace and then reach out to all the crafting/quilting communities in the area with a weekend 2-3 weeks out that everyone can come over and look. I'm guessing a problem with some of the sales is that people don't have lead time to plan to come over and just skip it when they might otherwise come. I wish you lived in an area close to me; I'd be over to help in a heartbeat! I've helped my mom declutter her closet and basement and I've read Marie Kondo 50 times and have a little ebay shop as a hobby. Its so much easier when its not your own belongings and I'm able to take charge and direct really well when I can be objective. Don't ask about my own stuff, that's another story ;-P
You’re doing a fantastic job, and the house is looking great! I like the combination voiceover and music. I have 2 cats-one is very vocal, as well. I can’t believe Cocoa is almost 20!
Good job decluttering! I’m wondering if you have any of your mom’s completed projects since she had so many supplies? I would love to see some if there are any in her home! I personally like the voice over more than the music- but do whatever is easiest for you! Glad Mr Cat isn’t a homeless kitty- just a neighborhood moocher!
Hi Mindy, OH your kitty was really telling you something. I thought it was so cute. Glad Mr Cat comes to keep you company. I love cats but can't have one where I rent. I like the voice over & the music. When you said cleaning out your Mom's house was the last gift to her, I thought that was such a beautiful way to put it. I know she is proud of you & watching over you. I do have a question. When are you planning on moving into the house? I give you a lot of credit for working so hard at it. Remember to take care of you too. As my Mom would always say "Keep your chin up" ☮️💜 from Wisconsin
I like the voice over and sharing the stories of your mom. Did you find any quilts she made? How old was your mom when she passed? You're doing an amazing job and the office looks great!! I know your mom appreciates the love and time your putting into her possessions.
Hi Mindy, you are sounding so much better, your grief is definitely sounding less painful, and you are coming across so much more positive. A mixture of voice over and music will be less of a strain on you to think of things to say. With all the stationary if you are left with a lot have you thought of maybe donating it to a school in a less affluent area?
I like either one, voice over or music but I did like your summary about yourself. You got so much done with the office area. Way to go, Mindy! When I look at your Mom’s house, I am just very grateful that, for your sake, it was clean. You are very fortunate that she kept it that way otherwise it would be even more sad to do this job. I do understand and agree why you wouldn’t want estate people going through all her stuff. To me, it would feel invasive. Anyways, I have been watching your videos from the start and you seem to be getting into a rhythm with it all which is helpful. Hope you are having a good day.
Well done! I would definitely not sell any of those bookcases till your very last sale. You might want to consider taking out the glass doors in the cabinet against the wall. Lots of space in there for you to put smaller items. Can't wait to see more progress! You're on a great roll!!
WOW...it looks like you have a small fortune in fabric; it is so costly now. I wish I was there to buy some! Don't sell yourself short on it; if any of it is vintage, it's worth even more. I hope this is helpful.
Once the house is decluttered are you going to keep it and move there? Or are you going to sell or rent it? Maybe you haven’t decided yet. You’re doing great, as more goes you seem lighter. Best 😊
I like the voice over. You are doing a great job. I love that you look at this as a last gift you can give your mom. That is so loving and sweet. Hope you have a great week.
Thank you! I hope you have a great week as well.
I like a combo of both music and voiceover. You are doing amazing! This is not a small task and it takes a lot of strength to do what you're doing.

My cat was 19 when she died, I miss her SO. Love hearing the kitty talking 💜💜💜
Voice over is the BEST!

I have watched your videos from the very beginning. It is hard doing this all by yourself. You have come a long way from at first being overwhelmed to now moving right along. Thank you for sharing your journey.
I am happy to see you can celebrate your victories; your smile lights up your whole face. Well done.
I like the voice overs, both about what you are doing and chitchat.

You did a great job sorting out the office! You can really see the progress when you deal with one room at a time. Wishing you well with this endeavor.

I really enjoyed the voiceover portion of the video! You answered so many of my questions. Thanks! You’re doing an amazing job.

Nice job it was nice hearing your excitement about the office 😊
The voice over is nice. I like whatever you post.

God bless 💜👍
yes i like the way you do , and explain about the cat , thank you for sharing ,
Nicely done!! You're handling this like a pro
I vote for you to do whatever works best for you. Progress is being made!
It's very nice to know a bit about you......Thanks for sharing
Yes voice over is great! So much better! You are doing a great job!! This helps more than you know!❤
I think you've got a good mix of voice and music.
Thank you for honouring your mum's stuff and not just going full on throwing it out
Great progress! I think these mini sales will work out well for you and will be much less daunting than one huge sale.
I like the voiceover! Would love to hear you talk about whatever you want to share😊
Happy Easter and hang in there.❤😢
It is so satisfying to see the progress you are making! You're doing great.
The mix of voiceover and music is great, please do so for your next videos!
Thank you so much! It means a lot to me!
Great video! You've done so much decluttering and organising!
Office looks great!! You’re doing great!!!😊❤
Just curious, did your Mom ever make any quilts ?
Your kitty is just georgeous❤
Hey Mindy wow you come a long way really proud what your doing ,I like the music and the voiceover.
You are doing an amazing job Mindy!❤️
Ι really like the voiceovers, I love getting to know about your thought process as you declutter and also get to know you a bit better! Either way I love your videos and your vibe, we have a lot of similarities in terms of family, I'm an only child too, no children of my own and dealing with stuff too.. so the videos really speak to me. I'm always looking forward to watching them!
Also purple is a great colour on you, not so relevant 🙃but had to mention it!
You are making great progress! Remember, Dana K. White from a Slob Comes Clean always says, "Better is good!"
I like the combo of voiceover and music for the time lapse.
Keep up the good work❤ you are doing amazing🎉
I like the combo of talk and music! Excellent work, love the strategy of grouping like with like! Very motivational and making great headway! Mom and dad are proud of you, daughter!
Hi Mindy, I like a combination of voiceover and music. You got a lot done!
I definitely prefer chat to music. You’re doing great! Proud of you.
You are making progress Mindy - I like your VoiceOver with music. Persistence wins in the end.
I like the voice over better than the music! I really loved the way you did this video! Mindy, "What a difference with the office!"
Good job decluttering! I’m wondering if you have any of your mom’s completed projects since she had so many supplies? I would love to see some if there are any in her home! I personally like the voice over more than the music- but do whatever is easiest for you! Glad Mr Cat isn’t a homeless kitty- just a neighborhood moocher!
wow ! great job !
I like your videos, do them the way you like 👍
You have become a professional organizer! You’re doing amazing!
Great job! Real progress🙌🏼
It's coming along great! Your mom had a lot of nice stuff! I wish I lived nearby lol - Mrs. N
You're doing amazing!! Well done, I like the voice overs
You're on a great roll!!
wishing you only the best. smile more often , you have a beautiful smile.
Subscribed since the very beginning. Cried with you too. 🥲💕Watching this made me start going through my stuff. I would never want to burden someone 😭
You have such a beautiful smile. We need to see you smile more.😊
WOW...it looks like you have a small fortune in fabric; it is so costly now. I wish I was there to buy some! Don't sell yourself short on it; if any of it is vintage, it's worth even more. I hope this is helpful.
I love that you’re answering questions in the voice over. How did you come up with your channel name?
Once the house is decluttered are you going to keep it and move there?
Or are you going to sell or rent it? Maybe you haven’t decided yet.
You’re doing great, as more goes you seem lighter. Best 😊
Hi Mindy, you’re making progress! I like a combo. I like the voice over to get to know you better and the music is nice too. Safe travels ❤
video starts at 4:40
The office looks great!
Enjoyed the voice over & learned how the estate sales work from you. I now wouldn't use them as the 40% is shocking & def too much!
