    Great Channel Rob and good to see a British drummer flying the flag. Would love it if you could do a Bonham hand foot triplet lesson. The speed you have on these is amazing and would love to learn some tips about getting them fast. I can get to about 180bpm and struggle to get them any faster. So frustrating :) Cheers

    • @DrumsTheWord
      @DrumsTheWord  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much for your support! I might be able to do something on this in the future but like all things related to drumming licks, the key to getting faster is usually just repetition, patience and time. Thanks again and keep up the practice!

    • @DrumsTheWord
      @DrumsTheWord  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just use the one that's built into the drum kit. Nothing specific. Any metronome will do the job at the end of the day! Good luck and thanks for your interest!

      As a drum teacher, this was explained beautifully. I watch all his videos myself in order to advance my personal teaching. If your are having trouble take it slow and re-watch. Its not easy at first. Try not to rush through and play too fast. If you still need help understanding, then you might need to learn a little music theory. It will help out alot in understanding where the beats line up and why they are played the way they are. When I 1st started drumming I had limited music theory knowledge and I couldn't improvise. I only read the music and played or had to play Simon says with someone showing me a pattern. Once I studied a little bit of music theory, it all started clicking. Still not the best by far but always striving to be better. The only competition is myself. Hopefully this helped :)
