competitive games build up a very subtle feeling of dread inside me that I don't notice until I've logged out.
on the other hand, single player games can be a really healthy form of escapism. I try to approach them the same way I'd watch a good movie. Comfortable seating, no other distractions for 2/3 hours, only focused on one thing. Finding the patience to do this is tough though!

I agree. I think that they can be a really good part of a "balanced diet" so to speak. But much like with food, it can be quite hard to achieve/maintain that balance.

Far cry 3 fav game. When i played silent hill 2, 3 and 4 it always felt like a chore but the music inspired me to play more

I liked far cry 3 until it became completely repetitive, then I tried 4 and 5 and saw they were literally the exact same game with a new map

I thiught i figured out the secret when i stopped smoking weed and just did benzos and psychs on the weekends. Then i did like 78 pills in a 5 day binge. Stopped for 5 days. Didn't sleep. Did 2 pills and had a seizure. I dont know how doing the benzos caused the seizure though
