Yeah, but you left out the fact that most people don't speak/read Old Norse. Luckily, I have an understanding. This is from stanzas 1-7 of Vegtamskviða, y'all want some of Odin practicing necromancy? Here ya go: Once were the Æsir All in assembly, And the Ásynjur All in meeting, And concerning this The mighty gods assembled Why were Baldr having Baleful dreams.

It was bloody In front on his chest And the Father of Chants, Growled from afar, Forward rode Óðinn Earthly-ways resounded. He came to the highest Above of Hel.
Then Óðinn rode For the eastern door, There he knew of a Seeress’ Burial Mound, He knew enchants so He recited the chosen chant Until unwilling she rose Still dead she recited these words:
"What man is that Unknown to me That has brought back my Burdensome life? I have been covered with snow And strained with rain, And drenched with dew Long was I dead."

"Here stands for Baldr The brewed mead, Of the fresh brew, A shield lies over, But the Might of the Æsir Is suspense Forcefully I spoke, Now I will be quiet”
Everybody's talking about the song or how much they disliked the game, but I read the description and apparently you took these photos yourself? They are really, really good, and I feel that not enough people are giving you credit for that. Thank you for sharing them with us.

They saw unity's beauty after 6 years, so give Valhalla some time and we will see how suddenly everyone liked this game when it came out, in a couple years.
I love everything about the game and have been playing since it’s release from the graphics to whatever else I think it was amazing and personally I loved the longevity of it. So sad that it’s come to an end

I didn't like Valhalla much but there was a few moments in that game where you truly feel the immersion, one of them is synchronizing in Norway to the "out of the north" track and better yet going berserker in the midst of a castle assault with this track playing in the background!
@Merciless Freak Not at all. Ivarr didn’t kill him at all. Ivarr lied to get Eivor to fight him. There’s several clues given throughout the mission and the fight, as well as their conversation beforehand. Ivarr wanted to fight Eivor, so that he could either be the greatest Vikingr, or die and enter Valhalla. Eivor refused to fight him, so Ivarr acted in desperation in order to make Eivor fight; he lied and took credit for Ceolburt’s murder.
@Merciless Freak One, Chill. There’s no reason to be so standoffish about a video game, my friend. Two, Yes I’m aware of all of that. Three, those aren’t clues, the game literally tells you all of that. But during the fight and the conversation before, Ivarr contradicts himself multiple times on how exactly Ceolbert died. Also, Ivarr is a devout in his believe of Asatru. He wants to enter Valhalla. Murder doesn’t get you into Valhalla, but dying in battle does. Ceolbert didn’t seem angry at him as he was dying, he called out to him even. Ivarr’s reaction wasn’t an “overreaction” if you’d paid attention to the fact that he was genuinely getting along with Ceolbert much more as they spent more time with each other. Also, remember Ivarr scrambling to get Ceolbert an axe as he lay dying? He wanted Ceolbert to enter Valhalla. If that was the case, he would’ve left an axe in his hand in the cave where he stabbed him…. Unless it wasn’t Ivarr that stabbed him. Also, remember how he spoke to Eivor during the fight. “I’ll make you scream like Ceolbert screamed!” It was just spoken about how Ceolbert didn’t scream at all when he was attacked. Another indicator he’s lying. Also, he brings up Eivor’s father. Why? To piss Eivor off. It’s extremely clear he’ll say ANYTHING to get Eivor to fight him.. including “I killed Ceolbert.” He also swore by his honor that Ceolbert would be fine. Breaking a vow like that won’t get you into Valhalla. He knew that, and he intended to keep Ceolbert safe. Also, again, it’s pure speculation that Ivarr left the camp to find Ceolbert. Everyone says they saw him leave alone. He wanted to be killed by a warrior he knew was worthy and sent to Valhalla, so he lied to Eivor to achieve that. If you took half of what the game gave you at face value instead of paying close attention to a plethora of context clues and contradictions, then it might perhaps be easy to miss how muddy the truth truly was in that situation. However, that Ivarr killed Ceolbert is absolutely NOT set in stone. It’s meant to be ambiguous and unclear.
@@XXXTENTAClON227 It’s not “clear” that’s the reason he was doing that at all. The whole thing was meant to be ambiguous and the ambiguousness of him saying his name is part of that. It’s why that part of the game has been one of my favorites so far. We really don’t know. We can only guess.
‘Up rose Odin, the old enchanter. He put on Sleipnnir’s saddle.’ Something so badass about a god that needs to do human things like saddling his horse.

This song coursed through my veins and was my heartbeat with every vicious strike against this so called leader and the terrible thing he did.
