Praying for your health and that, even if the worst comes to pass, that you are able to spend time with your loved ones, to check off some of those ‘bucket list’ things we all put off, and that wherever we humans end up in the next life, you’re given peace and joy. It’s amazing that three years on you’re still with us. Shows just how strong you are. Sending love and prayers.
The idea of turning death into a triumphant, honourable and high energy crossing is inspiring, we so often associate it with a slow, tragic goodbye, like it's some kind of failure, this is quite the antonym that I think this universal experience deserves.
Truest statement I've came across in a few years, without a shadow of a doubt. Sharp goosebumps as soon as i started reading it. a part of me definitely already knew what was about to come
As of me writing this, it is September 22, 2024. Despite it being three months a way from Christmas, the last few weeks feel like Christmas because we have been gifted with a whole series of videos featuring the incomparable Einar Selvik and Eivør Pálsdottir. The vocal power they project, accompanied by the melodic splendor of the Danish symphony, is so inspiring and uplifting. I thank the producers of this channel for sharing the talent of these men and women with the world.
Helvegen, since it's release, has always been the most beautifully heartbreaking song I have ever heard.. Recently, my longtime friend and love of 10 years passed away. Almost a year ago now. This song spoke to me even more so on the nght I heard he was gone. It helped release my sorrow. He and were both of Norwegian and Scottish ancestry, identified with Norse paganism/Asatru, and both wore mjolnirs proudly. He even learned some Norwegian language when he was younger. I was always very proud of him, and I miss him terribly. Hearing this song at a show now, I would not be able to experience it without breaking down in tears. But I hope someday, when my heart has healed a little more, to see Wardruna and to hear it live. Then it will be good. Skål to my lost love, wherever he may be, and to anyone else whom this song has touched.
My uncles wife, play in the National Danish Symphony Orchestra on violin. I am very proud that she have played with Wardruna and Einar Selvik - cause i just love their music ❤️.
And I agree, the entire concert should be put on Spotify. The Danish National Symphony Orchestra are doing an outstanding job! Best music Einar and Wardruna could play with!
This whole series of songs with the Danish concert has been awesome. Because of these I decided to get tickets to go see Eivor in October. Would love to see more colaborations with Eivor. This kind of music is so stirring. :)
FINALLY! This epic piece of art is on youtube. Took a while... Anyways, Einar Selvik / Wardruna and Eivor should make an album together, I wouldn't mind an orchestra with them as well.
I see The Danish National Symphonic Orchestra - I click like before the video even properly loads. I see Einar Selvik & The Danish National Symphonic Orchestra - I triple click the like button before the video even properly loads.
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I've ever experienced. Had to wipe tears several times, and was covered in goosebumps throughout. This perfomance of the deepest song I know, left me in true awe. Pure magic. Or Seid as it would have been.
I can't enough of this song. Every version has it's own beauty and almost every version brings me goosebumps - over and over again. Takk, vakkere norske mennesker ❤ Greetings from Netherlands
Amazing music with such power behind it! Love seeing the Danish Orchestra combined with such talent! This music will move through you if you allow it .
Música mágica llena de buena vibra. Soy de Cuba del caribe. Y siento la misma conexión con la naturaleza con esta música, como la que me provoca los tambores Batá. Felicidades.
And now I don't know which version is better, this one or co-op with Aurora. Both sends chills, both calm the soul, but in entirelly different way which i can't even explain. Listening to this is a whole new experience, it's not only listening, it's feeling, traveling... Masterpiece.
Speaking as someone of Scandinavian descent, I don't speak the language, have never lived in the region, but this resonates somewhere I can't explain. Absolutely fantastic. 👁️

as much as I love the Wardruna, Einar and AURORA performance, I think this is the most emotional and moving version I have seen....props to the vocalists (E & E), the orchestra and the choir, just tremendous......
I’ve have listened to this song more times than I can’t count but this version is absolutely astonishing. So intense. I gives me chills. Just love this band so much
Each version of this song gives me goosebumps and awakens something primal inside me. I can feel my heart beating with the drums, and I feel like something stronger than life is calling me. It’s weird, I know, but this song is transcendental.
I first discovered this song shortly after my grandfather passed away, and he was the grandson of danish immigrants. Now my father is passing early due to cancer, and the dark beauty and passion of this song almost brings me to tears.
This song is so powerful. Each remake getss better and better if that's possible this is so powerful . I'd love to hear it in English. I just love this song and it's meaning . I felt the power and I had no clue what they were singing about. When I found the words I was yes that's what I felt! Amazing here
I watch this after I see the commercials where Swedes decry their Swedishness and say it isn’t anything…European culture should be treasured, and passed down to our children.
Im canadian (w/ euro background which i have been told to be ashamed of despite having euro relatives who underwent extreme hardships). Went to an art gallery w/ other students in my college program who refused to see the european section bc "we see that every day". Meanwhile my fiance and i were looking at castles in europe for our wedding this past summer. Idk how to describe what we experienced. Theres this extreme beauty and heaviness that these ppl willl never understand. We r told to accept certain cultures but not ours.
@@bluehydrangea5506respectfully, I haven’t had the same experience. Nettopp!
Already have, on Stirdur Saknur from Eivør's last album Segl
So... let's talk about the elephant in the room :
When do we get a collaboration between Wardruna, Eivør, Aurora, Heilung & Myrkur in a single song ?
Would be a blessing
