And it’s hilarious how even the 3rd time she still got voted out AFTER Colby.

She was the only member of the Villains tribe not to believe she was wrongly placed. Jerri has actually secured her place in Survivor history as the poster child for the darkness.
When she got Colby out during All Stars was so satisfying. It’s crazy cuz when I first watched the Australian Outback, I still never saw Jerri as a villain. Maybe Anti-Hero, but nothing villainous. She just got on the tribe nerves sometimes and she wanted to win (just like anyone else) but I liked her for most part. I thought Colby throwing that bucket of water on Jerri during a lost challenge showed me a glimpse of who Colby was.

Lol probably one of the top 5 neck and neck challenges I’ve seen. Well anyways, they had to pour a bucket into and empty container. However of course they lost. But you can see the frustration in Colby throwing the bucket of water he had from the challenge on Jerri kinda insinuating she was the reason for the loss at the end of the challenge. But really it was Amber because Jerri was trynna tell Amber the bucket it’s right behind her but regardless it’s a team effort tho. And Jerri didn’t react to him throwing the water. That’s when I knew I felt like she wasn’t a villain, cause if it was me, lol I would’ve snapped. But I think Colby gets away with things because of his first season edit, and well his good looks and southern charm. The more I saw him, even towards Hero Vs Villains, I just wasn’t a fan of his.

He pouted when he saw her come out when the tribes were revealed, called her lazy and negative in his confessionals when she did nothing wrong, and at his last tribal kept bashing her when she simply said "you gotta take out the threats to win". Meanwhile Jerri remained very humble throughout the season. It was very satisfying seeing her outlast Colby that season. It just sucks everyone still hated her even after All Stars and still loved Colby.
I've always been a fan of Jerri compared to Colby. I feel Jerri was just more open she wanted to win, and after the audience hated Hatch for his strategy gameplay, she was edited to be a villian for being openly strategic. I hope she'll play again one day
Jerri is one player who has such an incredible story. She was so despised in The Australian Outback and All-Stars and she became very lovable in Heroes vs Villains! It is also nice to watch her relationship with Colby progress from craving vengeance to the nice hug that they share when he was voted out in Heroes vs Villains. It would be interesting to see how she would play now.
She was complicated in All-Stars, kind of overbearing and conceited but with an honorable and graceful quality that surprised me given her Cruella build-up. I turned around on her and was sorry she lost, figuring no one else noticed she was a better person than advertised. Great to know she had a full-on hero game left in her.

@@kharihammon9784 right and this is before factoring in that Jerri is a very eloquent speaker, they're saying she'd likely get their votes without even hearing what she would've said. she only needed to touch that pole like a second sooner or not made russell feel quite THAT good about her (but as was pointed out in the video that's really not her fault), and she not only wins heroes vs villains pretty handily but also makes it that half of that villains' tribe are winners, with 4/5 of who's left having made it to the end at least once.
Jerri is my all time favorite survivor. I get so excited whenever she plays. I absolutely did not agree with how people responded to her and how Colby was treated as some great hero. While I do think season 40 should mark the end for all past players, I would make an exception for her.
Based on season arcs, Jerri is my favorite Survivor player of all time. Heroes vs Villains truly is a great season but I wish Jerri had a better edit. We could’ve seen Jerri and Colby becoming friends again instead of more Russell.
I think it’s hard to definitively say that her voting out Rob was the right move as it would have been an entirely different game. With Rob the villains likely would have won another challenge and gone into the merge with a numbers advantage and coach would likely make the merge and he seems like the most trustworthy ally she had

Most idol-finds seem like painful recreations. I remember one season the person finds an idol, and then the camera switches and they're wearing a different color pair of shorts.
Jerri is a villain, but became a hero. She’s never won - But She should and could have. She is an Enigma in Survivor. Her arc across her 3 seasons is perhaps the greatest in survivor history. Her growth as a player, and as a person is, I feel, unmatched. She truly embodies the title “Survivor” to me. She has survived 3 seasons of the game: The rigorous physical hardships the players face, as well as the enormous social backlash she received from her first and second seasons. #BlackWidow
On All-Stars, she came across as being lost in the gears. It wasn't too different than Jessica Simpson's attempt to reinvent herself in the country music genre going deep south.. Ironically, their stories ended on a high note centered around future reinvention and peace made with a very shaky past.

Jerri's story arc with Colby reaches a nice conclusion. It wasn't expected as Colby was in danger getting voted out early many times. the final immunity challenge is so painful to watch so close yet so far for a chance to be sole survivor. overall a great finish to the Survivor arc for Jerri Manthey...
I love Jerri. I love that history proved her right and showed how Colby is a "hero" created only by a sexist society. And as we (as a collective) became less sexist, he was no longer a hero. Just a conceited jock.

This was one of the first seasons I watched and I remember thinking Jerry might win because she was under the radar if she could just win that final immunity
I think come final 4 of Survivor HvV, either Sandra or Jerri would be crowned winner, cause no one liked Russell, and Parvati was quote in quote in Russell's back pocket all game being dragged to the end. So if Russell did bring Jerri and Sandra with him in the end, the outcome of who wins would still confuse me because I feel Jerri would get Danielle Parvati Coach and Colby's votes Sandra would still have Courtney and maybe Rupert's votes and I am conflicted from there. So Sandra and Jerri both had a path to winning come final four. Jerri could have clean sweeped all or most of the votes to win if she sat with Parvati and Russell, but she and Sandra had the best game plans to win that season out of the four remaining.
If it's a Jerri/Parvati/Sandra F3, very hard to say who wins. Sandra would get Courtney, Rupert. Jerri would get Colby, Coach. Parvati would get Danielle, Russell. Amanda, JT and Candice are the ?? marks but Amanda and JT didn't want to let Parvati win again, so it would probably between Sandra and Jerri here with slight edge to Jerri since Amanda and JT considered Jerri a bigger threat before they were voted out, but who knows really. In a F3 of Jerri/Parvati/Russell, Jerri wins this one pretty decisively. Jerri gets the votes from all the Heroes and Coach. Parvati would likely get the rest of the villains votes.

I also wish all 3 Villainesses made the F3. It would've been so much more iconic and it would've leveled out the lopsided editing we got in the actual season.
you can't convince me that the Tyson vote out wasn't rigged, or manipulated by producers to keep Russell and Parvati in the game. It made absolutely zero sense.
tbh, after danielle was voted out, I kinda think this was Jerri's game to lose. Like, if Russell didn't win immunity and kind of force Parvati to take her out, I think she would've gotten jury votes against Parv and Russell at Final Tribal
It's funny how editing makes us (the audience) love and hate someone over the course of playing survivor due to the narratives they want us to portray. That being said I thought Jerri or Colby both could've won easily if they're in the F3
I was so mad at her when she backstabbed Boston Rob and remained mad at her until the family visit episode. It was like, finally she shows Russell that she was mad at him and doesn't like him. It was also a funny episode because Parvati and Sandra were mocking Russell out in public. It's like the girls are finally showing they aren't scared of him & Russell was pissed he can't control them anymore 😅
I really disliked Jerri towards the end of this season. She really took a liking to Russel and submitted to him, whereas Parvati in contrast aligned herself with Russel but only for her own gain and strategy. Jerri was Russel's puppet this season.
Honestly she played it perfectly she allied with him and then told him that Parvati was taking credit for all his work and would be a threat in the jury. However I think he proved himself as Parvati's puppet which Jerri didn't expect. Also Jerri annoyed the cast in season 2 like Russell annoys the cast so they actually got along pretty well.
I wonder how the final tribal votes change if Jerri is in Parvarti’s place in the final three? I mean, Sandra is still very likely to win, but Jerri gets Parv’s vote, and I wonder if Jerri, playing less directly with Russell would be able to flip some of the Hero votes her way.
After some thought I think that Jerri’s best Final 4 is for her to convince Parvarti to vote with her against Sandra, if at all possible. Russell and Sandra are never voting for Sandra, so this becomes a fire making challenge between Jerri and Sandra. In this case whoever makes fire is gonna be end up the winner of HvV, by being the only one of the three to garner the Hero votes. Jerri probably beats Parv 5-4 instead of 6-3, but a win is a win either way.
So am I the only one that didnt love jerri this season? She was out her element strategically the entire time and lived in fear of russel and did whatever he said. Her biggest move was blindsiding rob which she instantly regretted and all her "good move" of switching to Russel got her was a jury seat. As someone who actually liked jerri her first couple seasons this was my least favorite version.
Well, ofc she seems like she was playing differently and that's bc her first 2 outings didn't work at all. A change of play style was definitely needed. Since she played under the radar this time, and bc Russell was a massive screen hog this season, ofc the edit will make it look like all of his allies were his puppets. But she clearly thought out her moves carefully by herself and the truth is playing with him was better for her. She would've been #5 or 6 in Rob's alliance instead of #4 in Russell's and the Danielle vote allowed her to move up to #3. She was shown to have been talking with the Heroes after the merge in secret scenes and she even became good friends with Colby. Her fatal flaw was not aligning with Parv at the F4 to take out Sandra, as Parv tried to persuade her, but she herself was convinced that Parv was perceived to be the better jury threat (which this turns out, was the wrong perception). Overall, she seemed like a much more pleasant person. Russell and Randy called her the nicest person to talk to out of the whole villains tribe in interviews, and I think that speaks volumes as to how she improved her social game too.

So if Russell did bring Jerri and Sandra with him in the end, the outcome of who wins would still confuse me because I feel Jerri would get Danielle Parvati Coach and Colby's votes Sandra would still have Courtney and maybe Rupert's votes and I am conflicted from there. So Sandra and Jerri both had a path to winning come final four. Jerri could have clean sweeped all or most of the votes to win if she sat with Parvati and Russell, but she and Sandra had the best game plans to win that season out of the four remaining.
But, I'm curious, would Jerri win against Parvati vs Jerri vs Sandra or Jerri vs Russell vs Parvati?
If it's a Jerri/Parvati/Sandra F3, very hard to say who wins. Sandra would get Courtney, Rupert. Jerri would get Colby, Coach. Parvati would get Danielle, Russell. Amanda, JT and Candice are the ?? marks but Amanda and JT didn't want to let Parvati win again, so it would probably between Sandra and Jerri here with slight edge to Jerri since Amanda and JT considered Jerri a bigger threat before they were voted out, but who knows really.
In a F3 of Jerri/Parvati/Russell, Jerri wins this one pretty decisively. Jerri gets the votes from all the Heroes and Coach. Parvati would likely get the rest of the villains votes.

Honestly, wish this was a real final three just because I dislike Russell that much but because Jerri HAD it this time

I could see Candice voting for Parvati here since Candice said in the actual show that she wouldn't vote for her since she was like an abused wife in her relationship with Russell...but if she does oust him in this scenario, then she would essentially get Candice's vote here.
I also wish all 3 Villainesses made the F3. It would've been so much more iconic and it would've leveled out the lopsided editing we got in the actual season.

you can't convince me that the Tyson vote out wasn't rigged, or manipulated by producers to keep Russell and Parvati in the game. It made absolutely zero sense.
More than that, the Heroes hadn't seen that move; so it meant nothing to them.

tbh, after danielle was voted out, I kinda think this was Jerri's game to lose. Like, if Russell didn't win immunity and kind of force Parvati to take her out, I think she would've gotten jury votes against Parv and Russell at Final Tribal

I was so mad at her when she backstabbed Boston Rob and remained mad at her until the family visit episode. It was like, finally she shows Russell that she was mad at him and doesn't like him. It was also a funny episode because Parvati and Sandra were mocking Russell out in public. It's like the girls are finally showing they aren't scared of him & Russell was pissed he can't control them anymore 😅

I really disliked Jerri towards the end of this season. She really took a liking to Russel and submitted to him, whereas Parvati in contrast aligned herself with Russel but only for her own gain and strategy. Jerri was Russel's puppet this season.
Yet she voted for Parvati to win and bashed Russell after the show.

Honestly she played it perfectly she allied with him and then told him that Parvati was taking credit for all his work and would be a threat in the jury. However I think he proved himself as Parvati's puppet which Jerri didn't expect. Also Jerri annoyed the cast in season 2 like Russell annoys the cast so they actually got along pretty well.

I wonder how the final tribal votes change if Jerri is in Parvarti’s place in the final three? I mean, Sandra is still very likely to win, but Jerri gets Parv’s vote, and I wonder if Jerri, playing less directly with Russell would be able to flip some of the Hero votes her way.
After some thought I think that Jerri’s best Final 4 is for her to convince Parvarti to vote with her against Sandra, if at all possible. Russell and Sandra are never voting for Sandra, so this becomes a fire making challenge between Jerri and Sandra. In this case whoever makes fire is gonna be end up the winner of HvV, by being the only one of the three to garner the Hero votes. Jerri probably beats Parv 5-4 instead of 6-3, but a win is a win either way.

As much As I love Sandra Jeri really should've won
So am I the only one that didnt love jerri this season? She was out her element strategically the entire time and lived in fear of russel and did whatever he said. Her biggest move was blindsiding rob which she instantly regretted and all her "good move" of switching to Russel got her was a jury seat. As someone who actually liked jerri her first couple seasons this was my least favorite version.
Well, ofc she seems like she was playing differently and that's bc her first 2 outings didn't work at all. A change of play style was definitely needed.
Since she played under the radar this time, and bc Russell was a massive screen hog this season, ofc the edit will make it look like all of his allies were his puppets. But she clearly thought out her moves carefully by herself and the truth is playing with him was better for her. She would've been #5 or 6 in Rob's alliance instead of #4 in Russell's and the Danielle vote allowed her to move up to #3. She was shown to have been talking with the Heroes after the merge in secret scenes and she even became good friends with Colby. Her fatal flaw was not aligning with Parv at the F4 to take out Sandra, as Parv tried to persuade her, but she herself was convinced that Parv was perceived to be the better jury threat (which this turns out, was the wrong perception).
Overall, she seemed like a much more pleasant person. Russell and Randy called her the nicest person to talk to out of the whole villains tribe in interviews, and I think that speaks volumes as to how she improved her social game too.
