My takeaway is that if you spent $5 more on a can of spray silicone you'd have a true comparison. Of course the $300 tent already has been treated. So the $35 tent would have been as dry as the $300 one

That was a pretty fun comparison between the two. Thanks for putting yourself through storms and tornadoes and hurricanes and whatnot to give us good reviews. You're crazy and that's why I like you LOL

I used that ozark one for about a week up in Breckenridge near Bakersfield. Had some rain that turned to snow and it did fine. BUT I did spray it with weatherproofing first, but I'd do that with any tent. Didn't use seam sealer though. An alright investment if you aren't planning consistent long term use imo. But then again I've heard stories of crazy people using those ozark tents for years without issues.

They are not a bad tent but like you say, how will they hold up over time. Im glad yours is working good for you, not a bad tent for $30

3:42 am and I’m setting in front of a fire on my suchdeco portable fire pit watching your video I was asleep in my onewind hammock and my kids crashed my sleeping party lol it’s sprinkling right now but hey I’m happy that $30 tent is worth the money if it don’t rain to much. Good looking lake you have there 🔥⛺️👍 enjoyed the video!!!

A little seam seal for a few bucks on the Ozark, then you have a steal!!

There is alot of different ways to have the zipper flap not interfere with the zipper. Every thing from one side / or two bonding tape. Friend of mine just put the clear adhesive ( to jang things on walls )tape with some old yent material. He made tabs on flap. Wish one could put two tents and make one prefect. The positives of Ozak is the extra area and the light inside does show the world what you are doing.😊

I’ve got a 3 person Ozark trail. It’s fine. Not sure I would use it during a rainstorm…but for general shelter camping? $40 over $300 every day.

Thanks for this comparison video. I’m on a fixed low income, so I was considering buying an Ozark Trail tent, but your video is having me look elsewhere for a better more waterproof tent. Thanks again, and happy camping!

I have the ozark trail. I have a can of silicone spray for it but its currently winter and I don't need it yet but I'm in New England with incredibly rainy spring weather. Ya know its a great budget tent. And then it will end up my guest house tent! Lol! But I'm sorry I didn't like the Wolfson very narrow. I think you for the video. When I finally save up for the mansion tent I still don't know which one I want.

    • @LifeWithKernelLee

It is a good budget tent for sure, the other one is pretty narrow. Lots of good selections out there. Thanks for watching

This might sound like a silly idea but the idea of applying all-weather duct tape to a large cardboard box, and then testing it in a storm seems fun. Btw Ive been struggling a lot with my mental health and these videos help me escape

I've bought a large Ozark Trail tent for our family. It rained ans we were drenched inside the tent. I got rid of it. Then I heard good news about the OT tent you are reviewing in this video. So I bought it, spent a snowy night inside the tent, and water came in from the sewn in corners. Ozark Trail tents are BAD NEWS.
