My biggest beef with that song is that it's happening when a character is in DESPERATE NEED OF ATTENTION! That'd be like if in WALL-E the robots started singing a song while WALL-E was damaged! Or what if in Zootopia Judy and Nick started singing after Judy hurt her leg? Or how about if the dwarfs were to sing a song after finding Snow White's dead body?! Could you imagine if any of those happened? No! Because that's STUPID!
My thoughts on the list: 10. Yeah, it's annoying but at least it's short. 9. Not a fan of this film. To me, it kinda ruins Christmas and BatB. 8. I like this song, mostly from a single person POV who has never dated before. 7. At least they don't play the song often on TV depending on the channel. 6. Why did they make a sequel to this movie? And I thought North was Reba's worst film her in the filmography. Her singing was wasted on this. 5. This is a sorta guilty pleasure for me ONLY because the 3 dudes get the girls. As for the song, a little off given the time period but good singing. 4. Again, this is a sorta a guilty pleasure since this is one of my fave squeals, since, to me, that is, a bridge between Peter Pan and Hook. For the sing, I would just skip it on a bad day. 3. Not a fan of this film only because it clashes with the series but at least we get to see what Ariel's mom looks like. That's why I bought it. "I Wanna Be Like Other Girls" has always been a guilty pleasure for me, but it *definitely* feels out of place. I think Atomic Kitten's cover, being divorced from the context of the movie, delivers the message better.

You know, I find "A Guy Like You" to be an enjoyable song too.Yeah, it does interrupt the intensity of what's going on in the story, but at least it was a nice way of easing some tension and had some great vocal talents by the voice actors.
I agree about "Fixer-Upper." It would have been better if the song had been about the trolls prodding Anna to tell them what she really KNEW about Hans, and her slowly admitting she doesn't know all that much about him because they've only known each other a day or so.

10) Definitely on my top 10 worst Disney songs list. I really hate this song with a burning passion. As much I like Frozen fine, it's getting pretty old from the re-runs on tv, merchandises overshadowing other franchises like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled, and the songs being used for parody and mockery. 9) I find it ok-ish. "One mistake"? More like "Big Mistake" for this song. 2: Though "Return of Jafar" is more of "he said he said" whether its good film or not. But with this song with Gilbert Gottfried sang, it just comes off as so bad that its laughable at first. But in the end, this song doesn't have "A whole new world" into it. captain hook was supposed to have a song in return to neverland called "i'll give you one guess" but got cut for time. sad because the movie is only 1 hour and 12 minutes long.

My opinion on this list: 10. This song is...decent for me. I think I only like it because it sounds fun and has an almost gospel feel to it. But I think those are the only good points I have. As far as "The Morning Report" goes...I asked Disney expert Jim Hill (who does a periodic "Why For?" column on his site, where readers send in questions regarding Disney movies) why the makers of the Special Edition chose THIS song from the stage show, no more than a cute throwaway, rather than one like "He Lives In You" or "Shadowland" or "Endless Night", which portray illuminating character moments. Jim explained that the addition of "Human Again" to Beauty and the Beast ended up being more costly than the animators had anticipated, since they had to reanimate the Beast's chamber afterward to reflect the servants' cleanup. When it came time for them to choose an addition to The Lion King, they picked "The Morning Report" because it could be easily dropped in or cut out without having to do any re-animation of existing scenes.

When it comes to great animated musicals, you usually can't beat Disney. Disney is a heavy part of my life, and for good reason. With films that, for the most part, have endearing characters, wonderful animation and a pedigree of great songs and morals, it's little wonder how they have become such a powerhouse to this day. Even if something Disney makes isn't up to snuff, it usually has enough charm and character to be worth something. ...Note, however, that I said *_"usually"_* and *_"for the most part."_* Alas, as Hewy said, even Disney can sometimes fall prey to mediocrityitis and Dull Syndrome. From mediocre and blasè direct-to-film duds like _Beauty And The Beast: Enchanted Christmas_ and _The Hunchback Of Notre Dame 2,_ to the heartbreaking cinematic failures like _Chicken Little_ and _Home On The Range,_ Disney has a motley assortment of fails and bombs. (Though to be fair, _Chicken Little_ and _Home On The Range_ at least *_tried._* So there's that.) But even the Disney fails can usually have some redeeming qualities. ...That, sadly, doesn't translate to Disney music fails. When a bad Disney film exists, it's one thing: As I said, they usually have some redeeming qualities to look forward to. But wen a bad Disney _song_ exists, it is a pox upon music. It makes people want to hurl, go insane and then stab their eardrums. (In that exact order... *IF* you're lucky.) Annoyingly obnoxious, condescending, out of character, horribly sung, overly preachy, plus MANY other reasons... Whatever reason, the worst Disney songs are in need of a massive culling.

In my opinion, when it comes to the two Iago songs in _Return of Jafar,_ I personally saw “Forget About Love” as the lesser of two evils. I’m not gonna deny it’s a bad song, I just find the concept of a reverse psychology love song, being sung by IAGO of all people, hilarious.

People hate on Return of Jafar so much! I haven't laughed so hard with any other Disney sequel (and I, like everyone else, HATE those direct to DVD/VHS sequels!) This was probably the only sequel I liked, in spite of the quality going downhill like the others. And in spite of Iago being the one singing that song, it was so friggin' catchy ^_^0 I had earworm for days. On another note, I was never able to buy the Special Edition of The Lion King, so I had no idea those two songs existed...and I'm kinda glad I didn't. Thoughts: 10: Never understood the popularity of this film and I don’t really care for any of the songs. 9: It’s a thing that exists apparently. Not bad enough to warrant much vitriol. Just pretty boring and forgettable. 8: Never seen this one, but there’s probably a reason this film isn’t remembered as much as other Walt-era films. 7: Was cut for a reason. 6: Doesn’t even have the courtesy of being laughable, it’s just plain bad. 5: I probably didn’t mind this when I was a young girl, but looking at it now, yeah, pretty terrible. 4: Even without the gross humor and stereotypes about what boys do, this is just awful, it’s not even catchy and those boys can’t sing. 3: Arguably the worst one here since it’s not even funny-bad. 2: The song itself is too funny to hate. The animation though is cringeworthy. 1: So awful, it’s kinda funny in a way. Like Forget About Love, it also has terrible-looking animation that is just embarrassing to watch, especially considering how amazing the animation was in the original. That’s what really gets to me most about these direct-to-DVD sequels, the awful animation. I know I used to own a few of them when I was a kid, but thankfully, I don’t remember too much about them.
Overall it's a really well put together list and really funny, but I would say the #2 song ""Forget About Love" 32:46 isn't bad in my terms because I think it's catchy and fun. But I say this song should have been #2 "I'm More Than A Peacock Princess" from the direct to video film 'Disney Princess Follow Your Dreams' the music isn't bad but the singing for Jasmine ins't the same as the Aladdin trilogy making it very off and the lyrics are terrible. Morning Report clearly shows how some things work on stage in a musical but don’t work in a musical movie, and that’s why you have to adapt for film/stageshow (IE The Producers and Phantom) Madness of King Scar needs to be in the new live action Lion King

I don't know why, but his voice never really bothered me, and I haven't really like "I'm Looking Out For Me" and I thought the music voiceover actors for Aladdin and Jasmine were actually pretty good, even if they didn't sound exactly the same. "Nothing in the world" on the other hand, never did it for me for some reason. On a related note to not get any sleep. I don't suppose you know what humane way of getting rid of woodpeckers do you? Spoilers for the Hunchback stage musical: I really appreciate how the changes they made adapting Hunchback to the stage not only made the story and tone better, but also effectively retconned the events of the sequel out of existence.
I agree with "Fa la la la Fallen in Love" being the number one worst Disney animated song ever. In fact, to me The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 is the king of bad animated movies. It made me angry, it did as a kid, and it still does to this day. First off, remember how dark and edgy the first film was? Well now it's toned down to be more lighthearted. Okay, I can give that a pass. What else is wrong? Well, the animated felt like it was drawn from a chalkboard! Some of the Disney direct-to home video sequels have horribly bad animation (Belle's Magical World in this case) but some of them had good animated (101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure and Bambi II in this case) but I think the animation is at it's worst here. Also, remember when Pheobus was smart, but in this movie, he's very slow-witted and dumbfounded! Like at the end of the movie, he was wrong about all of the circus people, when they were no good, and were stealing shit. That's a prime example to the movie. HOW CAN YOU SCREW THAT UP?! Oh, and also he considers the circus people just as bad as the gypsies considering the fact that Esmeralda is a gypsy, his wife! That's racist. Oh, and BTW when did Esmeralda's eyes turned blue for no reason when they were green in the first film, and why does Quasimodo still live in Notre Dame after he was accepted into society at the end of the first film? Oh, wait yeah. That's right, the writers are too stupid that he can't leave the gargoyles behind. So what? They're happy for him that he's accepted into society! And now to be fair, I didn't think the gargoyles were terrible in the first film, but they were in this one! Especially they're song: "Fa la la la Fallen in Love". I mean, what the hell does that mean anyway? "A Guy Like You" was perfect. The lyrics were fun and it was really catchy, but the lyrics in this song is just stupid and poor song writing! Especially when Quasimodo sings "An Ordinary Miracle". It's so ear piercing! Compare to his singing voice in the first film. And not only that, the first film had a perfect nice ending! There was no need for a second one! They only did it because the audience felt bad for Quasi that he didn't get the girl in the first film, and Madeline is a bland and wooden character. What a great way to waste you're talent Jennifer Love Hewitt. The little boy in the movie Zephyr is also bland, wooden, and annoying as well, heck he was voice by Haley Joel Osment who did Sora from Kingdom Hearts for crying out loud. But the most worst character in the whole film is definitely is Sarousch. He's a really poor villain compared to Frodo! He looks more like a comical Disney sidekick for crying out loud! So basically, I always hated this film when I was a kid. I still regret watching that sneak peek to it playing at the end of my Disney's Dinosaur VHS and buying it at my local Hollywood Video when I couldn't rented it, I had to but it. It's an insult to Victor Hugo, it's an insult to fans of the original novel, and fans to the original Disney classic. It is in my opinion, the worst Disney animated movie of all time.

Yeah...I guess the emperor's daughters wanted to be like modern American girls or something....even though *Colonial* America didn't exist then and wouldn't for a long, long time. That was my problem with the first one too. I didn't know much about ancient Chinese people when I was little but I knew about Americans and I somehow figured that ancient Chinese people didn't act like Americans. I also was confused as to why they spoke English, even though I knew it was Disney and would be in English. It was just weird since it took place in China.
I kind of agree with Roshi on Gilbert Gottfried’s singing voice being hilarious. Rest in peace Gilbert, you will be missed.

Harry Thomas Pictures And, it feels like they're trying to force Anna and Kristoff to fall in love. Whenever I listen to the CD, I skip that song. And, whenever I watch the movie, I fast forward through it.
My biggest beef with that song is that it's happening when a character is in DESPERATE NEED OF ATTENTION! That'd be like if in WALL-E the robots started singing a song while WALL-E was damaged! Or what if in Zootopia Judy and Nick started singing after Judy hurt her leg? Or how about if the dwarfs were to sing a song after finding Snow White's dead body?! Could you imagine if any of those happened? No! Because that's STUPID!

"I Wanna Be Like Other Girls" has always been a guilty pleasure for me, but it *definitely* feels out of place. I think Atomic Kitten's cover, being divorced from the context of the movie, delivers the message better.

I agree about "Fixer-Upper." It would have been better if the song had been about the trolls prodding Anna to tell them what she really KNEW about Hans, and her slowly admitting she doesn't know all that much about him because they've only known each other a day or so.

10) Definitely on my top 10 worst Disney songs list. I really hate this song with a burning passion. As much I like Frozen fine, it's getting pretty old from the re-runs on tv, merchandises overshadowing other franchises like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled, and the songs being used for parody and mockery.
9) I find it ok-ish. Same can be said for the mid-quel-ish movie.

3: "Ariel's beginning" is rather a descent film and the last of the sequel/midquel/prequel of DisneyToon studio. Though like Mulan 2, it started normally and kinda good, but it got ruined in somewhat quick pace and a stupid disco fashion choice for Marina Del Rey, even i kinda feel bad for Benjamin. "One mistake"? More like "Big Mistake" for this song.
2: Though "Return of Jafar" is more of "he said he said" whether its good film or not. But with this song with Gilbert Gottfried sang, it just comes off as so bad that its laughable at first. But in the end, this song doesn't have "A whole new world" into it. Despite of weird low budget animation what we noticed. But i think i have a similar imagination from Roshi if Iago talks about love in other way.
1: Jesus hell, this is even worse than the Iago song! The lyric is so bad that we're still questioning "Why you put Falalala element in a love song?! You literally stole it from Christmas song!". And of course, like any others, its another filler songs for no purpose in order to have a relationship with Quasimodo and a little girl. And as i agree with Roshi again, this is another unnecessary sequel.

10. This song is...decent for me. I think I only like it because it sounds fun and has an almost gospel feel to it. But I think those are the only good points I have. Never realized how questionable some of the lyrics were but hey, always nice to hear and see a different perspective. 😊
9. Eh. This song just didn't sit right with me.
8. I barely remember this song. "Higgitus Figgitus" and "Madam Mim" were memorable for me and if those are the only two songs I can remember from the movie, then that is almost sad.
7. This song is okay but I really wish that they put in "Shadowland" from the Broadway show because it would have shown Nala leaving the Pridelands and that song was just so beautiful!

As far as "The Morning Report" goes...I asked Disney expert Jim Hill (who does a periodic "Why For?" column on his site, where readers send in questions regarding Disney movies) why the makers of the Special Edition chose THIS song from the stage show, no more than a cute throwaway, rather than one like "He Lives In You" or "Shadowland" or "Endless Night", which portray illuminating character moments. Jim explained that the addition of "Human Again" to Beauty and the Beast ended up being more costly than the animators had anticipated, since they had to reanimate the Beast's chamber afterward to reflect the servants' cleanup. When it came time for them to choose an addition to The Lion King, they picked "The Morning Report" because it could be easily dropped in or cut out without having to do any re-animation of existing scenes.

When it comes to great animated musicals, you usually can't beat Disney.
Disney is a heavy part of my life, and for good reason.
With films that, for the most part, have endearing characters, wonderful animation and a pedigree of great songs and morals, it's little wonder how they have become such a powerhouse to this day. Even if something Disney makes isn't up to snuff, it usually has enough charm and character to be worth something.
...Note, however, that I said *_"usually"_* and *_"for the most part."_*
Alas, as Hewy said, even Disney can sometimes fall prey to mediocrityitis and Dull Syndrome.
From mediocre and blasè direct-to-film duds like _Beauty And The Beast: Enchanted Christmas_ and _The Hunchback Of Notre Dame 2,_ to the heartbreaking cinematic failures like _Chicken Little_ and _Home On The Range,_ Disney has a motley assortment of fails and bombs. (Though to be fair, _Chicken Little_ and _Home On The Range_ at least *_tried._* So there's that.)
But even the Disney fails can usually have some redeeming qualities.
...That, sadly, doesn't translate to Disney music fails.
When a bad Disney film exists, it's one thing: As I said, they usually have some redeeming qualities to look forward to.
But wen a bad Disney _song_ exists, it is a pox upon music. It makes people want to hurl, go insane and then stab their eardrums. (In that exact order... *IF* you're lucky.)
Annoyingly obnoxious, condescending, out of character, horribly sung, overly preachy, plus MANY other reasons... Whatever reason, the worst Disney songs are in need of a massive culling.

People hate on Return of Jafar so much! I haven't laughed so hard with any other Disney sequel (and I, like everyone else, HATE those direct to DVD/VHS sequels!) This was probably the only sequel I liked, in spite of the quality going downhill like the others. And in spite of Iago being the one singing that song, it was so friggin' catchy ^_^0 I had earworm for days.
On another note, I was never able to buy the Special Edition of The Lion King, so I had no idea those two songs existed...and I'm kinda glad I didn't. Jeez, that was painful to hear...Wait, Scar had a duet with Sarabi?! O.....K..... '_'

1: So awful, it’s kinda funny in a way. Like Forget About Love, it also has terrible-looking animation that is just embarrassing to watch, especially considering how amazing the animation was in the original. That’s what really gets to me most about these direct-to-DVD sequels, the awful animation. I know I used to own a few of them when I was a kid, but thankfully, I don’t remember too much about them.
When I was young I grew up with the morning report because I had the special DVD with that had that song.
Overall it's a really well put together list and really funny, but I would say the #2 song ""Forget About Love" 32:46 isn't bad in my terms because I think it's catchy and fun.
But I say this song should have been #2 "I'm More Than A Peacock Princess" from the direct to video film 'Disney Princess Follow Your Dreams' the music isn't bad but the singing for Jasmine ins't the same as the Aladdin trilogy making it very off and the lyrics are terrible. I would like to know if you think the song is either worse, same level or better than 'Forget About Love'?

I definitely agree that “Forget About Love” isn’t THAT bad. I personally find the concept of a reverse psychology love song hilarious. I always hated “I’m Looking Out For Me” a LOT more. No one asked for an Iago solo song.
The movie isn’t as great as the first one, but I’d say that song wasn’t actually bad either. It’s pretty jazzy which I like.

5: For an 'I want' song it is more specific not just see a new world or find true love, and provides an opposite viewpoint compared to 'honor for us all'. Instead of peasant girls being dressed up as royalty for marriage we see princesses wanted to be like commoners. Kinda reminds me of 'What simple folk do' from Camalot. Just saying. They sever said they were going to back out of the marriages, just venting out what they really want out of life among their sisters. acting like real sisters.

I wish that the voice actor for the villain of Little Mermaid Ariel's Beginning. I thought she sounded good, but she got paired with bad writing and a bad villain to voice act.
Marina's voice actress is Sally Field, from Mrs. Doubtfire and Forrest Gump fame.

Morning Report clearly shows how some things work on stage in a musical but don’t work in a musical movie, and that’s why you have to adapt for film/stageshow (IE The Producers and Phantom)

I like Like Other Girls from Mulan 2...as bad as others think it is. Also, please review Mulan 2 and Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning, and Hunchback Of Notre Dame. Also, To Be One Of Us is a garbage fire, compared to the great quality of the rest of the film.

I really appreciate how the changes they made adapting Hunchback to the stage not only made the story and tone better, but also effectively retconned the events of the sequel out of existence.

I agree with "Fa la la la Fallen in Love" being the number one worst Disney animated song ever. In fact, to me The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 is the king of bad animated movies. It made me angry, it did as a kid, and it still does to this day. First off, remember how dark and edgy the first film was? Well now it's toned down to be more lighthearted. Okay, I can give that a pass. What else is wrong? Well, the animated felt like it was drawn from a chalkboard! Some of the Disney direct-to home video sequels have horribly bad animation (Belle's Magical World in this case) but some of them had good animated (101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure and Bambi II in this case) but I think the animation is at it's worst here. Also, remember when Pheobus was smart, but in this movie, he's very slow-witted and dumbfounded! Like at the end of the movie, he was wrong about all of the circus people, when they were no good, and were stealing shit. That's a prime example to the movie. HOW CAN YOU SCREW THAT UP?! Oh, and also he considers the circus people just as bad as the gypsies considering the fact that Esmeralda is a gypsy, his wife! That's racist. Oh, and BTW when did Esmeralda's eyes turned blue for no reason when they were green in the first film, and why does Quasimodo still live in Notre Dame after he was accepted into society at the end of the first film? Oh, wait yeah. That's right, the writers are too stupid that he can't leave the gargoyles behind. So what? They're happy for him that he's accepted into society! And now to be fair, I didn't think the gargoyles were terrible in the first film, but they were in this one! Especially they're song: "Fa la la la Fallen in Love". I mean, what the hell does that mean anyway? "A Guy Like You" was perfect. The lyrics were fun and it was really catchy, but the lyrics in this song is just stupid and poor song writing! Especially when Quasimodo sings "An Ordinary Miracle". It's so ear piercing! Compare to his singing voice in the first film. And not only that, the first film had a perfect nice ending! There was no need for a second one! They only did it because the audience felt bad for Quasi that he didn't get the girl in the first film, and Madeline is a bland and wooden character. What a great way to waste you're talent Jennifer Love Hewitt. The little boy in the movie Zephyr is also bland, wooden, and annoying as well, heck he was voice by Haley Joel Osment who did Sora from Kingdom Hearts for crying out loud. But the most worst character in the whole film is definitely is Sarousch. He's a really poor villain compared to Frodo! He looks more like a comical Disney sidekick for crying out loud! So basically, I always hated this film when I was a kid. I still regret watching that sneak peek to it playing at the end of my Disney's Dinosaur VHS and buying it at my local Hollywood Video when I couldn't rented it, I had to but it. It's an insult to Victor Hugo, it's an insult to fans of the original novel, and fans to the original Disney classic. It is in my opinion, the worst Disney animated movie of all time.

Yeah...I guess the emperor's daughters wanted to be like modern American girls or something....even though *Colonial* America didn't exist then and wouldn't for a long, long time. That was my problem with the first one too. I didn't know much about ancient Chinese people when I was little but I knew about Americans and I somehow figured that ancient Chinese people didn't act like Americans. I also was confused as to why they spoke English, even though I knew it was Disney and would be in English. It was just weird since it took place in China.
