If the top three are playing their best in their primes, I'll take Federer every time-except on clay-that goes to Nadal! Djokovic is a close second no matter how many majors he ends up with.
No other tennis player has every shot in the book like Federer. This guy hits shots that I've never seen any other player hit...amazing talent and effort!
I think it will be a long time before we again see a tennis player with such a rare combination of anticipation, awareness of opponents movement, footwork and ability to improvise beyond what most players can imagine. Add to that that he appears to be a genuinely nice guy and you have a really rare diamond.
Maybe not the greatest ( in records ) may be surpass by others amazing and talented players like novak rafa but no one can take his genius away from him ! He is the one the crowd cheer for , the one that bring a crazy atmosphere in the stadium ( not the only one) the one that produce the most amazing and creative shots, one of the greatest ever and the one that everyone will remember

Then along came a male Swiss tennis player by the name of Roger Federer 😳. Both their stylistic powerful tennis are so similar and such a sight to behold 🤩! Roger’s mastery of all his tennis skills complemented by his athleticism is otherworldly! IMHO, Roger and Steffi are the greatest ever!

It's so difficult to have a GOAT but in terms of pure raquet skill Federer is the best of the best. His technique is unparalel. Other players might have more athletism or other skills but Federer is with a raquet what Paganini was with the violin!

Federer is 6 years older than Djokovic. The difference is almost more than half generation.
Federer won 18 master titles (best 3 sets) before its format was changed from best 3 sets to best 2 sets in 2008.
Djokovid won only 2 master titles (best 3 sets) before 2008 after he turned pro in 2003.
Just comparing the # of master titles is not a good metric b/w Federer and Djokovic.
Federer with total 103 single tiles is the GOAT always no matter what people bring stats.
