Just took delivery of my Model 3 last week! Such an amazing experience, from FSD (Supervised) to the dynamics. This has been inevitable for a while now... glad to see that we are being proven right.
LARS!! Great information as usual!! Thanks for your ongoing efforts!! Greetings from the frigid shores of Lake Huron!! Ontario- Canada!! Stay safe in 2025!! GIDDYUP!!
You are missing one important point. Tesla FSD and Robotaxis. Once FSD is unsupervised and working perfectly and robotaxis are everywhere all new car sales will collapse except for Tesla. Nobody will want a car that can't drive you home from the pub no matter how fancy it is.
Yep, there people here in America that say that, “ I will never buy an electric vehicle , I can’t do it” , but they don’t realize, there are more people that were clueless that electric vehicles exist than those that say they won’t buy one, so those people that were clueless, are buying them because they learned the benefits of owning one. So those that say they won’t buy one are seeing more and more electric vehicles on the streets around them every month. One day , those that say that they will never buy an EV will be the only ones driving gas/petrol cars, and I hope that they can find a gas station somewhere..😁😄
The other massive advantage China has is that it dominates battery production. This is great for making BEVs but also for the stationary storage industry, which is starting to explode and will be massively profitable and huge in scale.
That's about to change as both Panasonic and Tesla ramp in the USA. Then there's the Korean battery manufacturers in the USA. China had the market to themselves for 20 years but that's ending.
Just read an article that claimed Venezuela's oil exports to China dropped by a large percentage and hopefully that is because China is massively/rapidly moving to EVs and REs. If we want to compete on a long term basis, we need to evolve to renewable/sustainable economies instead of economies that are constantly besieged by international oil prices/sources.
Lithium ion batteries are exploding alright! 😂😂😂 Did you see the fire at Moss Landing in CA last weekend? It's the fourth yime since 2019 that that facility has caught fire!
However the best advantage they have is that they did not politicize EVs… conservatives have caused a big damage to the USA, by not supporting a new technology, they have allowed China to be First.
This just proves the genius of Tesla opening a gigafactory in Shanghai. The Model Y was the best selling vehicle, not just BEV, the best selling car in China in 2024.
Regarding the new Model Y: I will wait for the lower priced rear wheel version. They are supposedly making the car for less money, due to more efficient manufacturing methods, so the price should reflect that. I heard that the suspension was not a new suspension but simply tuned differently to achieve a smoother ride. If the price of the lowest version goes up $5,000 then there will be many people that cannot afford it. Thought Tesla's goal was to get more people driving EVs. They have the margins to keep this new version at least the same price like they did for the Model 3. I do not need or want to pay for options I don't need. Looking to buy when a $40 k version (after rebate) is available. If the rebate is removed I will continue driving my 2010 Camry which has been great with nothing but minimal maintenance. Much less than they claim on EV sales pitches. I want to go Tesla but I don't want to be taken advantage of so Elon can fund Trump. Hope he sticks to his electrification of earth , as he explained in his Duex plan, and focus a little less on Mars and politics. The electrification mission has taken a backseat to obtaining power. Buying a Tesla may be seen as agreeing with that. I don't, but it is the best and safest car in the world so I may still buy one.
Are we just going to ignore the fact that the CEO of our favorite company made some obvious variation on a nazi salute? Does that just not matter here?
You missing the point. China cannot get contracts to build out the number of charging points to adequately serve pure EV at the rate they need to supply them. As a result thei need to sell hybrids as a gateway to pure bev in the areas where service points are inadequate. In time, either they or others may supply the need, but b in the meantime, they are progressing towards full bev.
9:30 Speed of iteration. Chinese cars are getting noticeably better extremely fast.. Five years ago they were a cheap joke. Today they are directly comparable to the competition. In five years they will be much better than anyone else.
The first China Leapfrog graph is highly misleading because of the all cars exported from China over 70% are ICE cars and many of them are JV production under Western brands. This figure even include Tesla BEV's made in China.
This would be a real problem, if Tesla did not remove 50% of consumer owned car from the road by 2030. Why buy a car when you can Tesla over for $0.35/mile?
@@frederickfaller899 ??? It costs me €912 to insure my Tesla Model 3 LR (full coverage from a top-tier company)... 15% LESS than for a comparable BMW 320i! There are even cheaper offers on the market. As I drive around 20 k miles per year, that is 4.8 US cents/mile. You think it is that expensive? You are very remote from the truth!
I disagree. China will be held out of Merica and the names will become Rivian, lucid, Aptera and some unknown upstarts because legacy is inept. Ford may be the only legacy to stick around, but it will come in the form of naming the company. However, this is all moot because robotaxis (& robovans) will dominate North America. Once deployed and operational, it will take very little time for transition to become an everyday thing and here is why: True bankruptcy of legacy is inevitable and production will cease, and by that time robotaxis will have a production rate of 3-5 mil a year. Their use will be in an exponential growth pattern with the populous realizing that buying a car outright is financially stupid. No amount of gov bailout will sustain a company if there aren’t any buyers. Tesla doesn’t care one iota about increasing the production of its other passenger cars because of robotaxi adoption. This will in turn allow Tesla to hyper focus on the Cybertruck, Semi and Optimus. I could also see robotaxis peak at around 10 mil a year because 1) there isn’t any need to have a one-to-one human to vehicle ratio and 2) with FSD - and more importantly having humans removed from the operation loop - replacement of the actual physical vehicle due to collision damage will be near zero. “Owners” of individual passenger cars will reduced to just the ultra rich egomaniacs that have nothing better to do than show off. Tesla is the only player primed to make this a reality. It will fun to watch it play out. That is of course until the 1% decide to collectively retaliate and kill Elon. And I say Elon has done a fantastic job of surviving, but once the reality sets in on the collective, he will cease to be. Even more sad, the world’s population that could ensure this dystopian future never comes to fruition isn’t science literate enough to prevent it.
The Chinese do love Teslas and many other nations’ people. Chinese and Tesla could crush US legacy media, period. Union Bosses, union costs, little focus on future , unlike Tesla…manufacturing improvements needed to remain competitive could prove very costly. Elon is in the Chinese market and many others. Do read Elon is in touch with many nations to build GIGA factories, place stores in other countries - believe Saudi Arabia.❤️🔥 Tesla is making money on cars sold, unlike most others. China is trying to g to get where Tesla is. Yes, be nice. 😉Appreciate interesting and informative video.
stop quibbling over minimally influential difference. That's why Western automobile manufacturers are in the position they are in at this point and finding it so difficult to compete.
Great content always, thanks for putting up this video. Also i wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Astrid Bjornis for introducing me to the world of crptocurrency. Your guildance and expertise have been invaluable, and i am thrilled to say that i have earned significant income. Thanks for your help Astrid Bjornis
I started working with Mr Astrid Bjorn back in June, and my financial goals have never been clearer. It’s like having a strategic partner for my money with a solid track record.
went from no money to lnvest with to busting my A** off on Uber eats for four months to raise about $20k to start trading with Evelyn Infurna. I am at $128k right now and LOVING that you have to bring this up here
It certainly seems inescapable that rising EV share should destroy ICV sales… so, why hasn’t it? Seems like all the legacy automakers have maintained their global sales and profits. Doesn’t make sense to me 🤷♂️
We will see massive growth in car manufacturing in Mexico. It's already a mature industry there, with the Mach-E (AKA Mex-E) made there, among other cars. It will give access to the US and Canada through the USMCA, and Mexico has free trade agreements with something like 50+ countries. It will reduce shipping costs and Mexican labor is about 1/3 of the cost of Chinese labor.

@@yourcrazybear Strangely Tesla has paused on Mexico, which may reflect geopolitical concerns or something else. I am not sure what is going on there. Any insight on your end? Maybe change in focus to Cybercab? My next vote would be BYD, which I saw a ton of at the Mexico city airport. Possibly Xpeng or Zeeker, etc., next?
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 385K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated..
As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure.. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience.
how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally.. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking??
I think that’s the wrong reading. He likes what he perceives to be best for the USA economy. EVs and green technologies need to compete on their own merits. It’s not as bad as it seems at first glance.

The demise of ICE vehicles can't come fast enough in my opinion.
not gonna happen
Been waiting for this video since 2007, when I heard about The Roadster and the EV1 for the first time.
Hallelujah!

Better and more accurate numbers please.
Yeah. Only BEVs count.

Why do you include Tesla.
Great insights as always
Exactly! 😊
Legacy automakers risk being obliterated not so much by China specifically but by the automobile electrification movement in general.
Doesn't China have their own FSD?
Not so exited about the chinese takeover, as Lars is.
It is more likely that BYD will bankrupt rather than taking over BEV. The secret is in debts and suppliers.
I hope BYD does not go bankrupt. In the game of whack-a-mole, it’s better not to be the tallest mole.
EV Lars ✔️🖖🌎Yes the competition is coming for Tesla! But instead Chinese are coming for you oems old ice bucket heads😂

Charge Charge Charge ! WHERE YOU GET ELECTRICITY FOR ALL THESE CARS?!😂😂😂😂😂😂
solar, wind and fision nuclear. and fusion nuclear one day.
Same places we always get electricity from. There was no source of grid electricity before the Niagra Falls plant was built.
Sun delivers by far more energy than we ever can consume.
Norway is 98% electric cars and dont have any problem ,dont increase much
