What they probably ended up doing though was train on similar data sets that Open AI uses: like you know, the internet. You probably have heard of it. And in the past year or so, a ton of content publicly on the internet are ChatGPT outputs, which yes was most likely used by DeepSeek for training given that it's you know, public data.
