My grandfather used to fry ribs all the time. He also used to smother ribs. I sure miss going over for his cooking on Saturdays.

Great share. My mother who's from Charleston, SC (raised in Florida) use to deep fry Spare Ribs all the time back in the 80's when we were growing up. However, she use to fry them naked with just salt and pepper seasoning.

This is a nice touch with the deep fryer. My grandmother used to fry her ribs a large cast iron skillet. Sometimes we ate it with coleslaw and other times with pan gravy and cornbread or rice, some vegetables like mustard greens.

I used to make deep fried pickles and we will eat them with mustard! This was back in 1972 and 73 this is how I made my money to go to the football games in the basketball game. Almost 46 years ago i'm not trying to tell my age.

Great ribs, I seasoned my flour instead of seasoning the ribs and then flouring. Seasoning the flour made the ribs less salty while preserving the flavor. Thanks chef!!!

The sodium is no joke. I stop using season salt all together. Onion, Garlic powder. And a touch of Pepper and pink Salt
