@@HelensCorner yea it was really delicious plus soft , I have never eaten vegetable soup so soft and full of obstacles like dry fish ,plenty stock fish , pomo and meat
I'm very very proud to see this on the internet 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I love Edda and it remains my home. Writing from Zurich Switzerland, i represent Ekoli Edda ✊♥️♥️♥️
Remembering my Ibiam Girls days when Jane Nkama, my good friend, used to bring it to the hostel. Best vegetable soup ever. Thanks for sharing. Jisieike.
My friend from Afikpo, Ifeanyi Ejem, prepared this soup for me in 1991, while we were students at Amuwo Odofin High School Mile2 Lagos. I never forgot the soup because it was a Banger. I now know the name of the soup and will prepare it again. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
My favorite soup This is the soup I love eating each time I visit my home town Amangwu Edda Thank you Helen Corner for showcasing our local delicacy to the world #Egburegbu Edda#
The road to the market is very good and smooth with the beautiful buildings by the sides, I know the rate of inflation in Nigeria is top notch, people are living by God’s Grace. This so much talked about Afikpo soup is very, rich, delicious and healthy, your sis nailed it, it’s a great skill washing the ugu twice. I really enjoyed watching .
Helinkonko you really dressed for this soup oo. I love how my sister introduced and explained all the ingredients. I'm already salivating here. Helen abeg, when next you are coming to Lagos bring the vegetable oo so that I won't need to travel to Edda to get some 😊
One thing I have noticed about you is #originality You don't form unnecessary posh. U act like all these white TH-camrs that travel across rural Kenya, Ethiopia, Gambia etc. Theses guys don't mind sleeping in a Hut and tents Joining the locals in all their domestic activities. Kudos Ma.
WoW,, this is just like my native soup in Ogoni, both the look and the preparation the different is We pound our own vegetable in the mouter after boiling it, very sweet and enjoying,, U guys has kidnap our Native soup oooooo🤣🤣
i recalled my staying at edda east. that soup was my favorite and i know how to prepare it.. those days in afikpo, amasiri, owutu edda and i was living in ezi edda. went to etiti edda technical school. i love everything about etiti edda people most especially that soup
Things are really expensive now. Please oh I have to travel to get the ugu for egburegbu soup 😂. The soup is quite rich and culturally endowed. I hope to try it someday. Meanwhile I love the outside kitchen setting. I miss villa seriously.
🤣🤣 My video used to be short sis Some complained I should make it longer because they want to see everything not cut cut or fast forwarded, 🙏 I apologize if you are among those who love it short. Please watch what you can and leave the rest. Thanks for understanding.
You don't add crayfish in the original egburegbu but if you add on your own is not bad. But we didn't add crayfish because that is the original way to cook it.
From evert indication the soup derived its name from how the vegetable is being butched lol. That lady would do very well running a youtube cooking channel with her detailed explanations. That's an expensive pot of blood tonic.
Edda native soup. Not Ebonyi native soup. As much as I like to share this wonder of a soup with the world, I enjoy that it's not so popular. Lest, they bastardize it
Ate this soup last week made for a friend party ,had to come online to look for the recipe
Wow nice to hear that.
Thank you
@@HelensCorner the lady that gave me Egburegbu said they don't use crayfish , why ?
