Am a northerner from kano,love okpa so much,dont allow my igbo neighbour breathing space to the extent that when ever they are ordering okpa from enugu my own has to be included.I don't mind it even when cold,I can eat it all day round.Thank God I have learnt how to make it.Thats what I ate yesterday night/this morning 😂

Oka has natural taste. Palm oil, salt, pepper and seasoning cubes ok to make delicious okpa. Okpa is Bambara Nuts in English

Pls must you put the okpa one after the other or you can tie it and put all of them at the same time
You can tie it and put all the same time...but then ensure to shake the already tied okpa a bit before putting it ( if you are not putting it directly) in the pot, this will help have a uniform consistency and reduce the risk of one part being stronger than the other

The measurement actually depends on the quantity of the okpa you are cooking ❤️
I used 2 cups of flour with 2 and a half cups of warm water for mixture. Also like quarter cup of water to blend the pepper. Then I cooked for 1hr15 minutes, depends on how big the quantity in each nylon is. The one that was very small got cooked quickly while the other took extra 15 minutes or so. Try that and see if it will be better.
Who told you the okpa will be spoiled am using hot water direct from kettle then use your spatula to turn it
