Actually Makoto has seen Majima's full face on Y0 epilogue, but he didn't say a word and stopped the other guy from saying his name so she didn't recognize him. Also after his change of personality at the end of Y0, he always talks in a crazy, not serious manner (like at 0:32). But at 5:48, he reverted to his old Y0 way of speaking when talking to Makoto(for some reasons Makoto still didn't recognize him there)

Oh my god, the majima saga is so, SO SAD. Yet it makes perfect sense, and it isn't forced or anything, it just.. flows Majima best character 10/10 very complex story and emotions within just one man
I never play this game, but damn. Just by this short video, I could feel what he's been carried for such a long time. Man...I didn't even realize that my lil tear came out of my left eye.
You can't even imagine for those of us who play Yakuza 0 playing as Majima, going through the thick and thin for the sake of protecting and saving Makoto, and in the ending for him to send her off into the arms of another man who is a civilian, just so that she could have a normal life without any ties to the dangerous Yakuza underworld...that was even more heart-wrenching. This video is sad and emotional as it may be, it is a happy ending in a way that it concluded with both of them finally got the closure after all these years. Despite Majima is not the main character of the Yakuza franchise (except for Yakuza 0 where he is one of the two MCs in the story), he easily one of my, if not my most favourite male character from a fictional story, regardless of the media type (be it game, anime, manga, novel or film).
give it a try. it's one of the best game franchises out there. the thing i love about it the most is it offers more than just a great story be sure to start with 0, so as to follow the story in chronological order

Majima tried really hard to avoid her recognizing him: -Attempted to not say a single word, so she wouldn't recognize her voice -Covered his back tattoo, so she wouldn't notice it. -Always faced her from his good side, to try to hide the eyepatch side as most as he could. -When he said "you worked the knots I've had for 18 years", you can hear clearly he deepened his voice as much as he possibly could, that way his voice pitch wouldn't give him away. Truly a gentleman.

Yeah better if she gets some time off, as someone who just played through the 3 games before they started I can say first hand it gets alittle exhausting, the story and that is good and all but when you get interrupted by a group of random thugs around 5 times before you reach any destination the combat can get annoying.

I really love how zero and the kiwamis really fleshed out the character of Goro Majima, a sadistic bloodthirsty psychopath in his original appearance, these games revealed more of the deep thinking morally conscious man who developed his mad dog persona to cope with the harsh realities of life in the Yakuza.
Just finished majima saga and hell he is the best character for me. Sometimes crazy, sometimes do cool shit, sometimes have his heart broken. Even ryuji respect him. What a nice character in this franchise.
