Knowing Suiseis story of struggeling to get a foot in the vtuber bussiness and later Hololive, it's really heartwarming to see her supporting newcomers.

Ye, because she had been through those times before, she can really empathise with these small Vtubers, really heartwarming to see especially congratulating her on her 2k subs, 2k might not seem like a big number but to a small channel like Maru it's huge on top of receiving the Congrats from Suisei herself the emotions must be through the roof. Kudos to her big heart.

she only have 2k subs in total in feb 21 then after this Susei encounter she gain 26k on March 7. so in 2 weeks she get 24k subs, currently shes at 46k subs...
putting a work is good, but exposure from an unexpected one like Susei is better.
We can't really imagine how big of an impact small things like this to help starting vtubers in their career. With how countless vtubers debuting basically everyday getting your name indorsed by someone popular whether directly or indirectly can help them immensely to kick start their engine and getting their name in people's radar.
Very happy Sui-chan's still looking back at her roots and helping fellow vtubers a bit of a boost.
The best part is that when Maru got streamed sniped, she was celebrating 2k subs and now she just passed 22k subs.

@@DBT1007 It's probably due to the different ways of viewing vtubing in general. We all had different perspectives about it, some sees it as a way to gain fame, some sees it as a good source of "income" and others sees it as a hobby/entertainment. Not arguing with you or anything but at this point it seems impossible to have a pure vtuber world.

I think most members started as a struggling streamer or Internet personality of some kind.
Take Ame, she used to be a Twitch streamer (not a Vtuber, she used her real face) and mostly played FPS games and things like that; but despite being a cute White girl, she didn't want get any attention at all. It's hard to stand out when there's just so many established streamers. Then she joined Hololive and boom. It's why she's so thankful to be in Hololive despite not really being interested in anime and anime culture at all.
Same thing for Vtubers like Calli and Vox, who are also not really all that interested in anime culture but becoming Vtubers has done wonders for them. You can clearly see how thankful Vox is to the CEO of Nijisanji.
One other funny detail was how Asano Ruri herself was in chat commenting with things like "Surely it's not the real one" and "If it's the real Sui-chan I'll thank her later." Then after Sui-chan revealed herself she goes "SUI-CHAN THANK YOU" and "I'M SORRY I SAID IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE THE REAL ONE" lol.
1:41 Suisei's little pause here, along with quickly cleaning up the error, was both cute and impressive.

This is just really wholesome, her reaction is real and cute. It is nice of Sui-chan to drop by and play with them, and gave her support like that.

I just love "pay it forward" stories like this. Suisei is being humble about the whole thing, but yeah, she knows how showing support for indie Vtubers and upcoming new talent to a group really appreciate it when vets in the space come to support them.
I mean, she's been in their shoes before so she knows what it's like to knows what it's like to be a small relative nobody trying to get noticed.
And being respected for doing so and not considered as "corporate lady who knows nothing" by the receiving end of indie vtubers like Calli did, hence spark the making of her "Off With Their Head"
I really wish a world where both indies and company vtubers can be seen as equal, not competing

Suisei congratulated her for 2000 subs in this video. Right now Maru's at 12.2 thousand - a sixfold increase from when she was sniped. That's the kind of impact a simple mention from a well known person can make.

This is so wholesome! That's one of the things I love about Sui-chan, she's never once forgotten her roots as a struggling indie vtuber and this small act of kindness towards another fledgling indie has blossomed into a big outpouring of support from the Hoshiyomi.

@@reggielacey2235 suisei started as indie vtuber then got recruited into cover's inonaka music first. Then she was struggling too in there but probably after one of her viral suicopath moments, she got transferred to hololive, got a makeover, started debuting new songs and got better and better.

I was afraid there might be a lotve ppl who gave her a sub to make her happy but didnt come back. but she's regularly getting 10-15k live + vod views, and her stream today got >30k. I really hope she and the rest of vsen can keep their momentum going
