I was disappointed in myself at not realizing at first that Majima intentionally didn't talk in front of Makoto to keep himself out of her life, but I'm glad at least Pekora picked up on it
Well, here’s hoping that they play Kiwami 2 eventually and play the Majima saga, because there’s added stuff for that arc.
@@somewillhateme The worst part of the Majima saga in Kiwami 2 is that it's so short and how neutered the Mad Dog style feels. I'm pretty sure it was missing things/moves, but not sure what. Been awhile since I've played either.
Ending of it was really nice though, despite it all.

@@Malysitos They have auto detection & switch board to change expression manually. If they set expression manually, it would stay that way forever unless they changed it to other expression manually. The auto detection won't override the manual expression.

I think kiryu is the constant in the franchise but zero is truly majimas story. Zero is the only one outside of souls where you can play as him

When I finished 0 back then, I'm lost but after replaying it so many times, I think that Majima is sane and just chose to live his life freer and crazier. Considering he is so lost in the whole of zero.

Great stories, I could not stand to ever play the games because of the gameplay, but I have watched streamers play them and the stories are brilliant.
@@Ishlacorrin I feel the gameplay is something that you will get into, once you give it a try. Take the disco or Karaoke for example. I fkin hated them at the start because I was a primarily PC gamer and controllers are hard, especially since I use the logitech stiff af ones. But after awhile. It became something I consitently returned to and was sad that the disco would be removed from later parts.
@@kunou_noah Nah it's less the controls and more how the game plays in general. The world fights and that style of game just do not appeal to me. Might look into it if the games go on massive steam sale or something, but at this time I have around 200 other games higher up my to-play list.

@@Ishlacorrin Thing is, playing it and watching it, brings a different experience, at least to me. Especially since most people don't 100% the game, with the side content one of the attractive points of the Yakuza games. Like, a super side character from a side mission that ends up being involved in the main story later on.

@@frostytrope8580 Yeah I burned myself out a bit by playing 0, kiwami 1 and 2, 3 and 4 back to back. Started 5 but gotta take a break. But definitely will play 5 and 6, then like a dragon. 5 feels like zero 0.5 so I'm sure to like it (also can't go wrong with more Saejima).

@@Evil-V That's the difference between people who start with Yakuza 0 and people who played from the beginning (with original 1). We already know who Majima is because we started with 1, 2, etc. We get to see this interesting contrast between current Majima and Young Majima.
Yakuza 0 starters only see it from the chronological beginning, so it can be jarring when Majima becomes his "true self."
It's sad that Majima lost Makoto. But he also gained KIIIRYUUUU CHANNNN~~~~!!!

for me (storywise) its Yakuza 0 >>>>> Yakuza 6 > Yakuza 7.
No matter how much i watch that Majima scene its rly gets me... First time feels like pekora but second time and more...feels like Miko.. Realizing how heavy the choice he made for Makoto's happiness 😭

I just finished playing yakuza 0 last week. I just started yakuza kiwami today. Man Majima really changed.
probably due to the OG game, yakuza 1 and 2 came out before 0, that's why even the remake for kiwami's writing wasn't as good as 0. Nobody will know majima has this side of him without yakuza 0.
No spoilers, but play Kiwami 2. It has sort of a dlc called Majima Saga. Won't regret it.
@@LKicksBucket Actually, Yakuza 4 was the first major hint of Majima being more than just a crazy guy with the introduction of Saejima, his sworn brother. 0 was just the expansion of his backstory and character.
thats what makes it beautiful imo. There is always more than what it looks. the story behind his craziness. not just majima but other character too. I sincerely believe this is Yakuza series major charm.
His Mad Dog persona is all an act, an excuse to do whatever the hell he wants without the risk of making himself vulnerable. By the end of 0 he was absolutely done with being someone else's puppet
People often Say that Kuryu is the perfect man, and he is pretty damn good, but Majima has the tenderness that most of us could never achieve. The strength to keep going forward, no matter what, while having to face such darkness.
Well, if you follow yakuza series you know why they are saying kiryu is perfect.

I cry every time I see Majima's zero ending. And when I first read the translated version of the full version of I Love You, I cried so hard my voice went out for the rest of the day.
I've seen this seen like half a dozen times from other people playing the game and it always makes me cry. Majima has it so rough. And then the drums from Receive You play and I instantly get pumped up.
Very nice editing, having both Pekora & Miko together in a single video made it much more enjoyable, as I am able to see the contrast and sometimes how in sync their reactions were.
Cant wait to see their reactions to the majima-makoto massage scene. TEARS WILL BE SHED.

@@naufalrayfi460 in fact, his Mad Dog persona is some kind of coping mechanism. People with depression sometimes go with a danger-seeking persona to invoke emotion stimulation to cope with feeling of emptiness.
Poor Majima... but also, in all his heartbreak, he discovered his true calling: the Majima everywhere system. Lowkey really sad ending for him though, love this game so much
