    The right tool for the job! Results are outstanding! In NH, I try to mow end of May and middle of July. "Usually" less rain and a lot of heat stunts growth past that. Maybe another round in late Oct just to make an area look pretty.

    Seems like a good place to plant wildflower seeds. The one thing I notice with driving backward is the tire tread is opposite what one would want when good traction is really needed. You need a small leaf blower to clean the screen and the AC unit, learned that from Tractor Mike. My fields look like that (minus the trees) every August when I mow the first time. I don't mow earlier so the wildlife has their nesting/bedding areas. Weeds easily 5' high, would be great to have that setup!!

    It’s called CRP(Conservation Reserve Program) this is a CRP-Grassland. They have a CRP for timber as well it’s a lot of different ones but this is a grassland one. And within they suppose to mow off so many acres every year and leave a portion standing for wildlife. Reasons why land can go into this program is due to erosion control or if it’s low producing land based on soil type. Landowner gets a rated payment per acre based on soil type and signup type for a contracted amount of years.

    • @joescheller6680
      @joescheller6680 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      But they are suppose to have established grass stand and control of the weeds to get your payment. Somebody on the conservation board is not doing their job.

    The three industry best flail mowers are made by Maschio… Tigre, Bisonte and Bufalo. Bisonte is a rare mower in the USA. They will totally eliminate any Vegitation 4” and bellow. Not all of the models have bidirectional gearboxes, I had to custom order it on my Bufalo 300 but my Tigre doesn’t have it. I run the Bufalo on my Fendt 724 with 200HP PTO, I once ran over a 8” dia log in tall grass and the Bufalo shredded it like mulch for about 4’ with no issue. That’s crazy. There was no damage. What makes these mowers so heavy is the double shielding which no other flail mower on the market offers.

If you think mowing on a reversible is better, you should use one of the 6-way 3-point buckets they make for them. You'll never want to go back to a traditional FEL.

      Yes.
      Not traditional FEL. Apparently some sort of 3 pt mount type loader available.

    There are options for a front three point and pto on most tractors used all the time in europe

    I can see the benefits of mowing brush with this tractor. I mowed 3 acres with my 1025 with a rotary cutter sure it took all day but I think a lot of time was spent stopping to clean the rad every so often so we didn’t over heat. This tractor doesn’t seem like it would have an issue like that.

    Instead of mowing twice, what about using a controlled burn? Mow you a fire barrier on the outside perimeter roughly 30 feet wide, and then burn the rest?

    Hand held leaf blower might be handy

    In your search engine put in: Help I broke my tractor on half. I had a Antonio Carraro early model that was strong, but was convinced to get the latest contractor model. The new models did not have 6mm plate steel sections at the join but cast iron!!!!! Hope the other brands stuck with plate steel.

    A Battery powered leaf blower would help with dust clean up. Just a suggestion.

      Correction: The "government" pays nothing. As with ALL giveaways, the TAXPAYERS are FORCED to subsidize special interest's profit and whims to funnel the benefits to them (eliminate competition).

      There IS a bit of a difference when it comes to farming. A stable food supply is definitely a national interest.

    Hey, my dad and I we’ve been using flail mowers for back in the early 70s to do custom mowing for building processes for the building for communities and things like that. We mowed all over the Jasper county in the state of Ohio. We use international 7 foot mower we put a John Deere Blades on it yet we mowed a lot of territory out with them. I loved it. They would not rock it run over beehive or something in the ground and you have bees all over the place. You can mow right alongside the road hit anybody’s windshield of that tractor 70 years old and I don’t do much mowing other than my house in the church so I don’t think I really need one this is the godly redneck Sam have fun. be safe. May our God bless.

      I believe this particular flail retails for something around $12,000. It is incredibly heavy duty, so really not out of line in my opinion.
