  • My Jeep TJ Wrangler suffered an oil leak on our last trip and it is finally getting fixed! We also needed to fix the PSC Hydraulic line that was leaking. Both are fixed and good to go! The LS is also officially mocked up into the Chief! The next step is to get it to the sand blaster so we can start on metalwork and body work!

The tripod design is used when floor surfaces are likely to be uneven. If there are 4 legs and the floor is uneven, the stand, chair, cabinet, or whatever, will always rock back and forth unless you put a wedge under one of the legs. Also, the Wagoneer axles are shorter than the "Wide Body" Cherokee Chiefs. So you will need some spacers like you said in the previous video. And lastly... My opinion about what wheels to use - The Wagoneer wheels you have now are sporty for a station wagon, but don't look right for a Chief. I like a retro chrome truck wheel, like the 8-hole, 15x8". That's what I have on mine. It looks cool with a 33x12.50 tire. With your lift, you may need a 35" tire.

I get the concept of how the Datsun is mounted to the rotisserie, but how did you guys get the Datsun onto the rotisserie?

I am looking to do this to a J20 and maybe a Cherokee later. What transmission are you using? Are you using a new transfer case? I know you may have mentioned this in an earlier video, but it has been a few days. I will have to ask "my guy who does LS swaps" about the gasket kit.

    should've kept it all MOPAR

An LS is so much easier though. We could have done an older mopar motor but we wanted all the newer technology with an LS

I have sliders on it! They are paint matched so probably not easy to see them.
