Thanks for the review. I have enjoyed OTang 4Pres wheels on a previous surfskate and I am going to try some Love Handles on a new surfskate [as soon my broken toe heals!]. I like the OTang 77a compound. In real world conditions they perform really well as I think the softness deals with surface imperfections nicely and the comfort means I can skate a long time without feeling beat up. Great channel. Keep up the good work.
Awesome review aside, can we all give a huge shoutout to the Camera lady. That's some gnarly footage you got there. Had me on the edge of my seat watching Mark hit them concrete walls and release. Yew 🔥
Loving this series already! 👍 I'm eager to hear about each so that I can get a good idea on which one is best to upgrade to when the time comes. Will you do a final video summarizing all the ones you reviewed and offering your "top pick" for specific applications?
Great video and stylish lines. How do they compare to swelltech's original wheels? I find the originals a bit mushy and not hard wearing - 7 sessions and the edges are getting a bit jagged already.
Have you tried using wheels 70mm in the back and 65mm in the front? I think the LOVE HANDLES 65MM would be very good together with the 4 President. Both with 80a hardness... Thanks for posting this video.
Cool review! Do you think this are a great improvement compared to the stock ones in Slide surfskates? The terrain in my area is not very smooth in general terms so not sure if I need something that slides easier or not as the surface is also wet plenty of days per year... Maybe should go on with the ones I have and just improve my snap technique? 😅
@@MarktheLandlockedSurfer cheers man. For now, I'm more into street surfing as I don't think I'm still ready for the skate park. Have gone a couple of times but didn't do a lot and, even with that, fell down a couple of times😅 Are they also better for sliding? harder? According to the durometer, they're almost the same, but, apparently, the durometer doesn't mean a lot when you compare different makes...
Higher durometer will typically roll a little faster - they don't squish as much so there is less loss to friction. The trade-off of course is less traction so if you can't pump as hard, that could hurt your speed. That is why a lot of people use softer wheels for pumping in the street and harder wheels in bowls where most of your speed is from the transition rather than surfskate pumping.

These were my first wheels! I love the momentum they build, maybe a little harder to get going at first. Dig them a lot.

Haha, Actually the park follow cam was by another surfskater named Steve but he also did a great job, I am not easy to follow!

You read my mind! Will do a comparative summary at the end.

Hi, what about the grip comparing these orangatang with the standard 70mm Swelltech wheels?
I'd appreciate a Love Handles review. Thank you for these content
I have 2 more 70mm size range wheels to review, after which I'll be doing reviews on the 62-66mm wheels including Love Handles
@@MarktheLandlockedSurfer Very glad to hear it. Thank you!

hmm, never thought of that. Sometimes I ride a Carver back and YOW front and the height is a little different - That could be a solution.
Is there a big difference between 77a softness and 78a softness?
No, hardly noticeable

I found these wheels much better than Slide wheels on rough terrain, but maybe not as big a difference on smooth skatepark concrete.

would you recommend i higher durometer to get an easier momentum?

Taking a swelly on a skatepark? Dont you like your bones as they are? Its like taking a shopping trolley downhill!
