I just went through my pantry and am weeding out! Question: what do you recommend when the canned goods say “contains bioengineered food ingredients”? I was shocked by how many canned goods I had said that.
Thank you Zonya. I have lost 10 pounds! I want to know what bread is best. We like the Killer21 grain bread, is that too processed? Is sourdough bread better for me? Sourdough uses white flour. I tend to gain weight with bread. Need to lose 20 more pounds. Also, I found out my cholesterol is high. I have the beginnings of osteoporosis, (a family trait) so I am trying to eat more calcium, cheddar cheese, sour cream, milk, string cheese, almonds, baby mixed greens, etc. Do you have any advice on how to keep my bones strong, and my cholesterol normal??
I am 9st and a size 8. I do a lot of walking and my one weakness is the sugar in my tea, and yet I am now told I have high cholesterol 6.9 and have high pressure. I am feeling rather depressed
Could you tell me the skinny on oatmeal? I have heard it is unhealthy plus weight gain and others say it is very healthy for you. Would love for you to do a video dedicated to the types of oatmeal what is good and what isn't. And preparation of it. Thanks for this video.
I even had a huge date to bump up sugar. Wonder if the fennel and what’s in centrum for older age collided? I have fibroids shrinking at 69 but uterus has enlarged, per dr. So maybe fennel fed those. It is not easy to drink that yucky green tea instead w/o caffeine in the am. I will do the beans, fish, and apple instead 😂👍🏻🙏 god bless you. Any help I’d appreciate it

I very frequently 😂 feel I am from 1800th, because I dry my spices at home every year, I canning all this food, every year, make my own jams, my tomatoes sauces, green beans, my own broth, roast my vegetables very often, my onions from the garden. When I add garlic to my food, I use the long cheese grader and hit it a little against your pot! I would like to know if there’s other people who do this, or I am the only crazy?
Can anyone help clarify something for me? I recently hired a nutritionist and he says that I need to get my protein from animal sources. When I ask about protein in beans, for example, he said it would count towards my carbs and not my protein. He said animal protein is different than plant protein. I asked my dietitian her opinion, and she said that plant protein is fine to count as protein. I’m not a huge meat eater and eating 70g of animal protein a day doesn’t really appeal to me. I am a cancer survivor so I am trying to eat better and lose some weight. Thanks in advance! ❤
Zonya,I have been following your diet for 10 days straight without varying at all. But have not seen one bit of movement on my scale! I have a low thyroid and I’m sure that means my metabolism is slow and every time I diet I never lose weight. It’s so frustrating. I’ve got both of your cookbooks and the meals are delicious and they’re also filling so many days. I only eat two meals a day. Could that be the problem? But I’m just not hungry! I do have to say I don’t exercise like I should being hypothyroid. I am tired all the time, I am very out of shape, and exercise is hard for me. my BMI is 29 and my cholesterol is high. I need to lose weight and get in shape and I’m trying not to be frustrated. Is there anything else I can do? By the way… I’ve had NO sugar at all.. not even tempted 😀
My daughter has the same problem with the thyroid, she walks 2 and 3 miles a day. She’s very careful with her diet. I have a big garden and she just love them. She doesn’t eat sugar, or very little, salt or too much grease. She eats fruits, so far has been working for her, she’s very thin!

How about Instead of putting 1/2 tsp of sugar in broccoli why not local unprocessed honey or maple syrup?
