These, husband and wife, are one of the greatest musical duos I've ever heard. It's not virtuosity for virtuosity sake but fabulous music.

I’ve had the good fortune to see Maire and Chris in concert several times, and continue to be blown away by their virtuosity. They are both superb musicians, highly skilled on their individual instruments. National treasures, for sure.

Saw them may years ago and was blown away.
Wonderful music. Saw them in Brewer, ME on 6/16/23. He explained that during Covid, he took 13 months to learn how to take music played on a violin $ transitioned it to the guitar. Quite an accomplishment as he does not read music, plays by ear.
That guitar has the most gorgeous tone!

Yeah...never can understand why at some concerts it's frowned on to applaud between selections. What kind of musician is offended by applause?

Lovely. The awe-inspiring beauty of these old Gaelic harp tunes. It was a different world, and a hard one, but they had something we don't have.
I must admit I'm less keen on the jazzy numbers. And why does the guy play standing up? Baffling - it's just making it unnecessarily difficult. And it's sit-down music.
