I had the privilege to live with a close friend for 4 years , who happened to be in the original Star Wars playing as the Original Tusken Raider. He was an elephant trainer at Marine World in the Bay Area at the time and was asked to play a Tusken Raider and his elephant Mardji to be the Bantha. Before I moved away I had asked him if he could sign a couple figures that I had collected. I'm very grateful for them now because he had shortly passed away a couple years ago. Thanks for being a great friend and RIP Robert "Bob" Spiker , you are missed.

I think the darker one you have is from the OTC - really nice caed back image I seem to remember.
The darker tusken it's from the 30th anniversary bantha battle pack, there're two versions of that pack, light brown tuskens and a special dark brown tuskens variation pack 😉✨

If i remember correctly they used an Elephant for the Bantha... so the eyes are spot on

After seeing this video, I'm going to the pet store and buy some Guinea pigs. I'll mount some horns on them and put saddles and my tusken raiders on them.
I agree that Bantha is great! I happen to purchase one in 2019 when the price was low. Looking on ebay now the prices are crazy! The bantha is a fantastic addition to your collection. Cheers!

Did you know that there is a cheaper way to get the massif but it doesn’t come with a Tusken it is the massif that is in the arena in attack of the clones

It's been a few years since I bought one of these and opened it up. I'd forgotten how "secured" it was in the box. Even the rider is twist-tied in place! I like this one much better than the 30th version with the matted hair. Tatooine is the best Star Wars planet, I agree!
I considered getting a 30th Anniversary one too... (not that I can afford it) but you know, I might not bother now! This one DOES kick ass! 😉 O.O.K 👌🏼💙

Looks great. It was £60 at TRU, when it was released, didn't want to pay that so never got it, I should of. I have the female Tuskan an child, & the Rancor's. McFarlane Toys still use all the rubber/plastic ties, takes ages to remove the Devestator.

Super video! Will be nice to see a Tatooine shelf. Although I live in Denver now I grew up in the 80s in the arid desert around Western Colorado where it was super fun to play Tatooine. Classic stuff, congrats on the pickups.

Only one... Somehow I still love the kenner toys and packaging... Had all the rancor from rotj vintage to potf and the legacy collection. Just felt more star wars than the current hasbro line.. Hasbro is doing a fantastic job for the vc and black series but something about kenner that makes it so special, when u think kenner, you think star wars... From the vintage 1970s to 1995 potf.. MYbe I'm was a 80s kid and still a kid at 46yrs. This potf bantha still holds up to this day. This shows you the love and amount of work kenner put into their star wars line. I doubt hasbro would do a "real" fur if they ever made a new bantha figure and if they did something like this it would end up as an exclusive... Frustrating.

Yeah man... and I'm sure they will! However... they'll have to get their skates on before they get rid of the bubble etc... coz that would be 100% better on card 👍🏼

So first off, awesome grab. I checked out eBay here in the US and yes one bid was starting at $50, buy now they were up to $150+.
Personally I think going another 2 shelves high might be too high as you won't be able to see the display properly, especially the figures at the back.I think 1 extra shelf will look good.
I'm thinking just a few vehicles and big things like Rancor on the higher levels.... figures.need tobe low I agree otherwise won't be seen for sure 😉
My feeling is that they will release a new bantha and massif, but not too sure about the rancor. I really hope they can rerelease that one with a new paint job because that one has always looked good to me. Only improvements they could make to it would be to give finger articulation
Maybe horns are articulated so they take up less room in the packaging ?
True.... and if you have multiple Banthas, you can mane their horns slightly different in form 🙂

The old Hasbro Ronto needs to be upgraded, he needs to be a lot taller.
Articulated horns! 😂 Great figure. Try to get them all 1996 and 2009 ones if you can just to have different ones. Actually I don't have Legacy one either. I have 1996 Jawa and Ronto that cost the same. There was the smaller Sandtrooper and Dewback. Dewback and Jabba The Hutt are surely a bad attempt to make anything great!
I have a potf2 dewback and ronto that I would like to donate to yourself. I'm more of a vintage collector so would love like to see them in a good home not stuck in a garage
